Too much vibrato? What in the world are you talking about? Do you listen to what the singers are doing today? They are throwing their voices doing all of these vocal acrobats totally destroying the songs. Singers throughout history have used vibrato from the likes of Frank Sinatra and many other singers of the past.

@MusicLoverBrian1 for real. vibrato is one of those essential components of a great singer. i would much rather listen to a "basic" singer with good vibrato than someone doing too many runs not to get in the way of the music. mr. hathaway probably has my favorite. God bless u

I agree, doing "runs" get in the way of the music and when it's done too many times it gets really annoying. I say that a singer should let the song speak for the song and allow the song to convey the message through the lyrics as the singers sings it. Doing runs not only gets in the way of the song but it's almost as if the singer is saying "forget about the song just look at me!"
