@willmoney34 I wish I could see the tape of the 1985 semifinals between Michaela and Anna Lee. Amy Stock vs Barbara Baan. It was a great season too. I liked Anna Lee but my favorite was Michaela followed by Barbara and Anna Lee. I actually could have seen any one of them winning. I still thought Michaela should have one. Some say the reason Barbara Baan won was because she was American. Barbara is a beautiful lady but I still thought Michaela was just that much better.
I forgot who won in 90. I was such a big fan of this show and recorded the semifinals and finals every year. Was the 1990 final between Debbie James and Bobbie Brown?? I didn't really care for that year. Bobbie was full of herself. She totally ignored Ed when he tried to console her during her loss. Debbie was nice but didn't think she was the most beautiful female I had seen. 1990 was a weak year for spokesmodels on Star Search.
@willmoney34...Yes, 1986 had the best 4 semifinalists. It was hard for me to decide who I wanted to win. They could have all easily won. The other seasons I had one favortie that I wanted to win. 1985 it was Michaela...although that season was pretty good too. 1987 my favorite was Theresa Ring and she won! 1988 my favorite was Sophia Bowen but Cynthia Gowe won..ugh....still upset she won. 1991 my fav Symba Smith won.....I forget which season Heather Middway and Lauren OBrien were from.

Another heads up....do you remember Cyndi James Reese....a few years before appearing on Star Search she starred in a supposed to be real life drama name Reaching For The Stars...it was about a group of female singers and after the show went off, they went on the Johnny Carson show.....
@Mist20 Yep you got it. Pamela Hedges was the 4th semi finalist. Karen vs. Aimee and Devin vs. Pamela in semis. Karen vs. Devin in the finals and Devin the winner for the season. Plus the other champs that didn't make the semi's were Garcelle and Wendy Edmead who were a couple of my favorites of all time. I think this was the best season!
@VideoSurferClassic Not certain, I know Mona Wyatt was the winner. After that I'm guessing. Wendy Hayes maybe? Their was a model with the last name Peacock who I think was. Beatrice Pavlova? @VideoSurferClassic Just found that I love the 80's 1983 on youtube. Are you talking about the brunette who talks about her "castle" on the clip? I'm not sure. Pretty sure she'd have been Tina's challenger though. I remember Tina was on the first ep. of the season. BSMuse, kennyut, or 70conrad might know.
Karen Marie Thomas was one of my favorites. She is a very beautiufl lady. I actually liked her hair straight like it was on the video. 1986 was a great year for Star Search. The semifinals in the spokesmodel category were the best. I could have seen any one of them winning. I forget who the other spokesmodel was.....It was Karen Marie Thomas, Aimee Cann(didnt she change it to Aimee at one point), Deven Devasquez and who was the fourth??
@kmpkmtkmn Karen, I think your response was very admirable. It's funny you mention reality shows because you could probably go on "She's got the Look" and win. I love the fact that you enjoy your life now and are not willing to risk embarrasing yourself as you mentioned that so many do. I'm surprised you weren't really comfortable speaking on camera because you were very good at it. Thanks for the reply!

She was a great beauty (like you said) pre-surgery! LOL! I have a question.... do you miss being in front of the camera or do you just look back at it fondly as a great time in your life?
@70conrad I really dont miss being in front of the camera...I did enjoy modeling and the traveling but enjoy my quiet life now. I was never super comfortable speaking in front of the camera...I could never be on a reality show in the 2000's. I would never want to embarass myself like they tend to now. ANything to be a star I guess... Thanks for all the nice words.
