Thats not what the exit polls revealed. They found that more Congress, PMK and DMK voters with 15%, 9%, 7% respectively voted for DMDK, compared to 2004. Actually very few ADMK voters voted for DMDK, around 5%. So its not true that DMDK made a whole lost of difference in the results. It is actually BJP that might cost them a couple of seats, and the unpopularity of the left and PMK, hurt the ADMK more than anything else.
