i disagree, the difference is that he organized and improvised this whole composition, and theres no guideline for how he should play that song unlike guitar hero. Also, the DS is acting like an instrument in this case, and the only difference is the way you hold the chord. Unless you mean that only composers have real musical talent (which means all covers are no display of talent at all) then this does exhibit talent, since he made it sound good using only his instrument and musical intuition
