  • que buena cancion!!!!!! que bestia como me gusta ...giannina cigaran

  • Mark's totally drug ravished here... but still hot as ever. There was a solo album he made just after this, around 1997/1998 but it got scrapped cos he couldn't get his shit together at the time. I wish I could say more, but I could get into trouble.

  • If only they toured this album, may have still been together now!

  • this is the one of the few musical acts whose albums I can put on repeat all day and not get annoyed or bored at all.

  • awesome

  • personally i think screaming trees shouldve been way more well known back then and now. hell they are ten times better than pearl jam and many other bands around the 90s. Mark Lanegan is a genius if you believe it or not...

  • I spent 3 month solid listening to Dust whilst writing up my PhD. This album has some serious emotional resonance for me. Great, great album, that moves track by track through your capillaries until it all part of you.

  • Grande banda, espero que um dia eles voltem a tocar juntos novamente...

  • This is LIVE for Fucksake!!!

    Who R Nirvana again????????

Number 1 LP of the 90's

  • @nobodie

you were there when "he" blew his head off even though, with the amount of heroin found in his body, it would have not been possible? and you were there to note that the rumour of his head being "blown off" was not an exaggerated misconception?

  • so great. I love that and the guitar play is so awesome and by the way with Josh Homme. one of the greatest Bands in the 90ties. Too sad, that Mark still has to fight against his demons :-( What a great voice

    Thanks for posting

  • the guitar player looks like jack black when he plays, shit i forgot his name

  • @vighain Gary Lee Conner

  • Best gig ever - Screaming Trees, Bristol Bierkeller 1996.

  • how is it that Pearl Jam are famous billionaries and great groups like this are all but unknown? i like eddie and the boys as much as anybody, but i will NEVER understand the media! (sigh)

  • @jteshuwah ...got to agree with you there!! Screaming Trees are a fantastic band. I really dont understand why the shit like Oasis get to be so massive?? Oasis must be the most boring plodding pile of shit bollocks I have ever heard!!

  • @coltsuperocean10

Oasis are massive because most of the population are complete numbnuts.

  • @bmmaaate ......I wish I could give you 1000 thumbs up!! Cheers!!

  • mark lanegan is a bro

  • dude barrett martin is fucking awesome.

  • this is up almost 4 years and I saw it for the fist time today?? shame on me!!!!

  • This song has a 60's feel to it in the background. :)

  • i think it's about time for a mark lanegan Best of cd... don't care who wrote what song..

  • is that Josh Homme of Kyuss?

  • Brilliant song en performance

  • see how the guitar-Conner feels the music he's playing, amazing, one of the most important (while so absent in today's crap-music) musician qualities to me

  • When he sings 'with one foot in the grave' fuck me he is'nt kidding! Dust is kind of overlooked by alot of people, I think its one of the best albums of the 90's.

  • Christ I can't remember the last time Later... actually had band-specific set design. Does Jools even have bans on their any more? Or is it just Corinne Bailey Rae on a loop?

  • I love this song since the very first time, Lanegan voice is incredible

  • 14 years ago... dear god! Still so awesome

  • voice of an angle!!!!!

  • Barrett Martin is a fucking amazing drummer

  • @pilsenschop definitely,,more i listen scresming and more I think so...

  • Mr Grohl & Mr Martin frikin own!!! \m/

  • awesome just awesome

  • A perfect song. Just perfect, every note, rythm, yell. Everything.

  • Lord, I wish the Screaming Trees would reform!

  • skinny jim mrmojorisin all comps :)

  • "today is hot,...... Milk was a baaad choice!"

  • psicogrunge !!! just screaming trees did it .. or... whatever they sound great

  • This song is a little gem, great lyrics they really kill it here!

    \m/

  • I love how mark looks like a Chesire Cat...random I know but he does.

  • I like the drums on this one. makes me want to pick up the sticks.

  • Great song! I lived in the same building with Lanegan those days and, let me tell you, things were not looking good. Was so relieved when he left Seattle in search of a healthier life style, cause the way he was carrying on was deadly.

Went to the Seattle club show of the Dust tour and he was barely able to carry through... He looks so much better now - I guess whisky beats smack as an addiction...

  • @eevinaiti

You must be referring to the '97(?) show at the Showbox. I actually thought it was a pretty ace gig. Beat the shit out of the HUB Ballroom show in either '90 or '91. Can't remember which year it was.

  • mark looks bad here but he is still great...

  • Hey Ms. Bean! Yeah I thought the same about Mark.Lot of drugs in this period.

  • didnt we all!

  • Personally I quite liked that scruffy look, but each to their own :)

  • Mark, was almost dead when this was done, hell he was best friends with Cobain, and he went severly over the deep end when he died...he was a ghost of his former self..

  • I love the electric sitar.

  • What an amazing band ... makes you feel nostalgic of the days they were around

  • 2:28 RAISE

    YOUR GOBLET OF ROCK!!!

  • I mean 2:24

  • damn josh homme looks so young in this video....and mark lannegan looks old!

  • Drummer kind of looks like Jason Newsted

  • Haha it does too.

  • Mark looks dead

  • but hes more alive than ever :)

  • its so sad how most ppl ignored the awesomeness of screaming trees

  • @Grungedude93 So true. They were WAY underrated.

  • @Grungedude93 There singer didn't blow there head off with a shotgun or OD. That's the only difference. This is the best 90's band.

  • @Nobodie92 buzz osbourne is better

  • @Grungedude93 i know it is sad. Great band! Lanegan is amazing

  • Damn, Mark looked like Cobain's grandpa, I'm glad he's allright...

    Outstanding performance ofc.

  • he really did

  • I need to tell you something. He is Cobain's grandpa.

  • looks a bit like Ron Burgundy during his miserable san diego phase. I'm sure someone has already stated this. Still great

  • It's so weird to see Josh looking so clean cut, polo shirt and all.

  • yeah he should be smoking with a half open shirt :L

  • classic song to me in my top

  • Wow this song is sooo amazing...idk i think its another one of my favorites rite next to look at you!

  • love it

  • best song of the screaming trees!!!

  • this was the warm womb of QOTSA..

  • absolutely..a fuckin classic ablum!!

  • Josh e Screaming...PHOODAA!!!

  • i think josh is in C for this

  • @qotsa21 I think he's in Fuckin' A for this. :)

  • Hey, does anybody know the exact set list from this concert?

If somebody does, please, send me a message!

    Thank You!!

  • this is awsome

  • I love how you look at this video and compare josh homme from this to being frontman of queens... totaly awesome. here he is a skrawny kid, and 15 years later. BOOM. rock god.

  • 15 years later? what year are we in? i didnt realised i'd been asleep for so long

  • ever heard about kyuss?

  • he was still a scrawny kid in kyuss.

    haha.

  • u might not be able to see the drone strings right now but they are there.

  • if u look alot closer, that's definitely an electronic sitar. it has a slightly electrified sound when plugged in but 13 strings like a regular indian sitar. (the other seven are drone strings which contribute to its mystical south asian sound.)

  • Awesome!

  • Didn't they get their band name out of a hat? That was actually a lucky draw, considering they're kind of psychedelic.

  • What is the real ST genre??

  • Rock.

  • Hmm... kind of psychedelic rock and...?

  • i like that guitarist's sitar! it's got me convinced that maybe i should try learning to play that instrument.

  • Are you saying it's an electronic sitar? I thought it was just a normal guitar with a sitar effect..

  • it's an electric sitar,built like a guitar...you can get them from Musician's Friend....

  • "I'm completely misserable San Diego!"

  • so great.. those were the days

    BIG BIG SCREAMING TREES

  • it's a red-head convention =] both lanegan and homme are reddies =] they rock

  • Wow Mark sounds exactly the same live as on the studio versions.

I was privelaged to see him a couple of years ago touring for the "Bubblegum" album and they did Gospel Plow - it was astonishing!

  • Top ten of my greatest songs EVER (this version)!

  • Love this band! A good influence on my tastes and on my own band. If you have a little time, click on my (looseground) channel and check my band out. We're are starting and need opinions and suggestions. Thanks in advance. 90's influenced.

  • This Album kicked my ass! I learned every part on my guitar & even started smoking so I could sound half as husky & cool as him. (joke about the smoking) ;) oh I just embaressed myself. Why do I write like I am talking?. I just made all of this up. Im drunk...reaching for fridge, bye

  • thats cool, i spent a week drinking wisky to get that voice... just ended up wiv a really bad hangover... :P

  • Jim Morrison looked like a whale circa LA Woman! Mr Lanegan here does look a bit Jim & certainly had a few chemical issues at the time. This version of Screaming Trees was the best & Dust their best album - would be nice if they tried again...

  • i doubt that they will try again, unfortunately.

No offense to Homme, I personally like him and Kyuss a lot, but he looks out of place on stage with Lanegan and the gang.

  • mark lanegan, gary lee, van conner, josh hommie, barret martin.... kat demed! so much in this beautyfull acid melody

  • is it josh hommie?? oh i never knowed he played by screaming trees

  • yeah men, he play with the trees in the middle of the 90's for one tour while he were on kyuss, I think in that that time was the time of transfer kyuss-qotsa... he is such a good musician

  • in fact, gary lee ( the basist) plays with qotsa in their first shows

  • the bassist is van conner, gary lee is the guitarist.

  • Remember seeing them at Astoria a few weeks before this. There's always better than the record. After they destroyed all there kit

  • Not that commercial success was necessarily on there mind.

  • I think the Trees would have gained a little more popularity if they would have done some acoustic based stuff. I think it really would have shown Marks voice in a different light. I like there music but it all starts to bleed togather after a few listens

  • I love electric sitars. I wanna have one too!

  • Mark Lanegan: One of the best voices ever in rock?

    I think so.

  • Fantastic performance. Except for Gary Lee they're pretty much standing still and it sounds amazing, tight, and what live music should be.

  • Frank Gallagher used to be in a band! You learn something new every day.

  • so glad he's cleaned up...nearly lost you there Mark!

    Just for today

    Simon x

  • lovin them big ol orange amps...dust is such a great album it gets overlooked, so many good tracks on there.

  • It sure is a brilliant piece. Every track worth listening to. There was a 'critic' out here on the web somewhere that completely slammed "Dust" as a total piece of shit. We exchanged emails... Never trust a professional 'critic'. Dust was easily one of my favorites from the 90's.

  • Baby Josh, his hair still clean and a polo shirt...I'm crying...

  • Lanegan's not all there it seems, but his voice turned up

  • One foot in the grave...and one foot on a banana peel...the mighty Mark Lanegan...Jim Morrison, Jr. ,,,,,,,cool lyrics...riffs...drummin' is thunder...lil George Harrison Eastern soundin' guitar pickin'...,,,them Beatles..

been a long long time away

with one foot i-i-in the grave

  • The Trees should have ruled the earth.

Man, Mark looked rough back then. Like one foot in the grave rough. Glad he got clean and got got to keep making excellent music.

  • he looks like he did waaaaaaaaaay to much drugs so skinny:s

  • Unforgettable drummer of Screaming trees... one of the drummers most cool expressive that i've never seen

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sCREAMING TREES LA ROMPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Thats Josh Homme from Queens of the stone age on Guitar too

  • yup lanegan looks like will Ferell. How many times does it have to be said?

  • This song is like pouring chicken gravy on your white shirt, right down the front. Which is a good thing....

  • Spiritual Rock

    Mmmmmmm!

  • I'm only 22 now but I remember seeing this performance on TV and loved it then as much as I do now...so underated...

Lanegan kinda looks like Will Ferell a tad lol!

  • yeah hes a little over himself

  • Gary Lee is a good guitarist but I fuckin hate to see that fat-ass posing like he´s a frickin´ virtuoso.

  • whahah, what a way to say it:D:D you're right! :D

  • Fuck off. It's called showmanship. And he IS a virtuoso. Or maybe you'd like to play that solo?

  • Showmanship? How come no other member needs to spaz out like that? They are fine just doing what they are good at.

I never said Gary Lee was a bad guitarist, he IS indeed a very good guitarist.

  • You've obviously never been on stage. There's no word that can describe the height of energy at the peak point of your solo. You just have to do something. Obviously he's doing that.

Get the experience before you make a judgement. You need to feel the groove for yourself man.

  • Spot On!

  • This band was so under-rated it's not even funny. It's a fucking travesty.

  • Up The Pool!

  • Up The POool!

  • Um can someone give Barrett Martin some killer props here. Did you see him switching so flawlessly from hand drums to sticks? This just proves even further how skilled this underratted drummer is.

And yea Mark is sexy even during his most trying years

  • Dude, if you really want to hear Barrett Martin his best, check out his work with Mad Season - awesome.

  • absolute total fucking quality. had no idea this was on jools' show - nice one for posting

  • Don`t comment on it not being "heavy enough" go and watch something else "heavy enough". This track is awesome man!

  • they're not heavy enough

  • not heavy enough? go and buy the new slipknot dvd, you toy

  • nice production. good tune. lay off the beard folks. he hides smack in it. anyway, the music is really the product. it looks cool anyway.

  • "lay off the beard folks. he hides smack in it."

^probably the funniest thing I've read all day.

  • Great song, my favorite on the whole record, though the rest is great too

  • Quality rock!! with a young Josh Homme!!

  • he is pretty young here, does anyone know wat year this was?

  • .....I think the title may give it away!! "Screaming Trees on Later..30/11/96"

  • ha ha ha, so it would. sorry

  • ..no worries fella!! We all do something daft from time to time!! You got some good stuff saved to your favourites!

  • thanks, jesus, i spend too much time on this yoke. i just noticed how many favourites i have!!

  • Fantastic. Stunning band and great performance.

  • likes the beard

  • Of course, it's a Morrison, Karl Marx beard.

  • josh homme should never be on rythem guitar always lead this dude blows ass hole

  • I hope your not talking about Mark Lanegan

  • But the lead duties are quite evenly shared on this songs. Homme is playing a fair bit of lead dude. And 'this dude blows asshole'? Referring to Gary Lee Conner? What the holy fuck? The guy's an awesome lead guitarist, in the same vein as Hendrix. To hell with you.

  • This song is awesome. Thanks!

  • god I hate that beard. :)
