  • @lpzjsh SRT's boost to somewhere around 14.2, and .8 PSI isn't going to make an extreme difference. Also, the Miata is a two seater, and has no roof, so it is lighter. When you tune a convertible though, you are taking the main thing that ties the front and rear suspension together...the roof. So, you could make the argument that your car performs worse around the bends. Yeah, going in a straight line, your power-weight ratio helps, but around a track it handles like a wet noodle (in comparo).

  • @lpzjsh I hope you forged the motor. I'm pretty sure you might blow something with boost that high on a car that was meant for 7-8.5 PSI. Plus, your car is a soft top. You're taking the main thing that ties the front and rear suspension together...the solid roof. Yeah, your power-weight ratio would get the heavier SRT in a straight line.  Put it on a track though, and I bet your Miata would handle about as well as a wet noodle.

  • thats what we like to call wastegate flutter. its impossible to have flutter when from the factory SRT-4's come with a BOV bolted to the turbo. another reason mopar chose to run that turbo on the car.

  • yep my 2005 srt-4 is stock and it sounds like that. it hangs with a lot of nice cars stock if you know how to drive
