  • I have the medical bay and about 5 or 6 other starcom toys.

I loved them so much and they where way way ahead of their time.

One otf the most awesome toy series of all time if you ask me.

  • I want HIS job!

  • Had a couple of them back then, I can't believe how much they want for them on ebay but i want them!

  • im 15 and im luving them!!1

  • Hells teeth, these things are immense! I might as well just give my pay checks straight to E-Bay.

  • i only have 2 of them, mobile medic and gunner

  • so many memories... thanks for uploading this!!

  • damn my brother and me loved these toys

  • I want his job.

  • Fantastically thought out toys, I adored them in the late 80s. Remember waking up on Christmas Day to the Starmax bomber and some other Starcom stuff and almost hyperventilating with excitement.

  • I stumbled upon this toy line in the late 90's

I found a RAT vehicle in a box of old 80's toys. I didnt know what it was but I immediately loved it. The spring loaded opening was SO cool and unusual. I played with micronauts as a young kid so the line was so similar. Im surprised somebody hasnt reissued these.

  • We had it in the Kindergarden in Germany... nice toys..

  • Truely awesome toys! I still have my Starmax bomber and the little white one which sits on top of the bomber. I also have a few of the land vehicles. By far the best toys of the 80s. I never really remember the cartoon but I was mad for the toys.

  • My dad was in sales for Coleco, so I had almost all the StarCom figures and vehicles... they were just too awesome.

  • @CanOfMinus I envy you

  • 1980's-90's are just hardcore! Everything got messed up after 2000.

  • Yea, man...the golden age of toys...I miss those days...

  • I totally agree with vrossino46!

  • such cool toys compared to todays shit

  • i had almost every toy they came out with it was very inavative for its time utilizing magnets and spring action movements, my favorite one didnt last too long it was sort of a zip line you could set up about 10 to 15 feet and had a vehicle that move across the line holding a action figure. also anougher favorite was this small boxy looking vehical thats wheels swong out to become a faster loking little baja type cruiser! i wish i kept these toys they prob be a good collecter item.

  • someone should bring these back.

  • I had a few of these. They were sweet! The 80's were the golden age of cool toys.

  • I had the base with the magnetic activated lift :p

  • I never got into these toys...the Starwolf was the only one I liked

  • I had the one at 3:10

    memories. happy happy memories.

  • toys these days dont come as good before....

with all the new health and safety hazzard which is a must :P

  • man this brings back memories :)

i use to have a couple of these, but i would never understand how the parts move when you press the button, when it doesnt run on batteries

  • brings back memories, but man better than I remember I was so young but knew I loved them... damn I am 23 now, but shit I need all these lol...going to see if i can find some... Its so cool I have my own money I can just buy them lol...back then yea... I had no money to buy more that one ship and man or whatever...yea, think I will try and find some

  • Man these toys rock. Sadly i had none when i was a kid. They were just too expensive, too ahrd to come by and i was more into Transforemrs at the time.

  • Anybody recall the toy series that operated entirely on zip lines?

  • Sky Commanders, I believe.

  • that was starcom i had the zipline that was about 10 feet long a had a little vehical that would propel itself across it. these were the coolest toys, im almost 30 now and still rember all of them

  • This is a toy review long before Youtube.

  • huh?

  • I had the orange one

  • Geilomat!

Die Dinger hatte ich! So Geil..!

  • I recall my mind being blown when i was around 8 years old watching my vehicle unfold.

and the detail was unlike anything i owned.

The sounds of the tiny gears working is still a treat to my ears.

They should bring these back, but with motors and batteries... could you imagine.

One time my brother dropped his starcom action figure in a bottle of 7-up. We had to drink it all before he would come out... oh man the good ole' days.

  • Sure They were available in Germany i got a lot of this Great Toys Best Toys ever i can say.

  • Halo ripped off starcom!! Costumes, tanks, warthogs! Did you see that freakin Banshee?? Bungie ripped off STARCOM!!

  • I had loads of these had the white base with airlocks n all, and dude.... still in the box? how sad

  • The toys were top of the line. I still have some in a box somewhere.

  • i will buy them off you name a price i will pay it!

  • The figurines have small pieces of magnets in their boot soles. My parents could afford to buy only one figurine for me.

  • These were available in Germany!!!

  • In Germany we had not these toys...But Starcom was off the hook!!

  • nearly all, if not all Strarcom toys that saw a release in the usa were also released in germany.

  • yep i had nearly everything, like the 2 big ones in this video an the small transporter for 4 ppl

..but i dont think the 4 platforms in the beginning where released in germany, never saw them

  • i can def. say that these 4 platforms were released in germany. as a kid i had 2 of them (that medic center and the repair bay). Bought them at the Karstadt store. and a kid living next door had all 4 of them.

  • i loved these toys when i was a kid. always took them with me to kindergarden

  • its a mystery why these toys failed! in my opinion they were way ahead of the competition at the time...if the initial commercials had stated that they didn't require batteries im sure they would have done alot better.

  • a disclaimer for the batteries was the problem? :p

i agree, they should have lasted quite a while. why didnt they last? they were really good toys.

  • a reason why the toy line failed is because the company that produced the toys (Coleco) went out of business.

  • Which is how I got this video (and other stuff :) ), cause my wife worked there when they went under.

  • any relation to coleco vision! does your wife have any products remaing from this company or do you have any more vids or pics?

  • @rockste4dy86 I guess they actually were pretty popular in Europe, but maybe you've had a chance to read that somewhere in the four years since you posted that haha.

  • starcome was awesome !

  • This is awesome, Is there anyway I could get this video for the Starcom website? do you have anymore?

  • hell yeah!

  • All the Starcom toys I never saw as a child... =)

  • LOL@ busted motor in the Skyroller.
