This series is excellent, and i highly recommend it.

"Rapture" is commonly taught falsely. The true rapture is when the living saints, 144,000 in number, are caught up to meet their Lord in the air when he comes in the clouds. Preceeding them will be all the righteous dead who will ascend to the cloud with Jesus in it first, then we who are alive will be caught up to it.

@whatjamaican Research the word 'harpazo.' It is is in the original Greek translation. Harpazo meets to be "taken up" or "snatched away," it means rapture. We get rapture from the Latin volgate "rapturo."

The Bible Does not teach that there is a rapture. Read revelations. There is a ressurection, but no one will go straight up. Do you really think that in our current condition, God and his Son will allow us in heaven with this sinful condition. somthing has to occur on earth as did the early church! there has to be a latter rain church on the scene, not here yet, but will come! @jvsm1971 That sounds really good, but in my experience leads to very subjective interpretation of Scripture. I have friends who almost REFUSE to read Scripture and almost mock me that I am unable to simply "receive from the Spirit". They often laugh and ask what will I do if all bibles are confiscated? We are supposed to CONFIRM Scripture with Scripture. Like the Bereans of Act 17:11, any concept the church teaches should be CONFIRMED by the Tanakh. OT, NT and Rev MUST agree!

My apologies if you cover this material elsewhere but I have two questions: 1) Do you define the rapture like the church does: believers go to heaven and miss the tribulation and 2) what do you think about the material that details the rapture as a fairly recent invention stemming from the dreams of some girl. Additionally, who attends the 1000 yr reign of the Messiah on earth. Like the Bereans, confirm the NT with the OT. Where is the church and ITS DEPARTURE described in the OT?

@elskid206 - what most persons think of the rapture is incorrect. what Paul is describing in 1 Thessolonians is when the believers in exile (spread out through all the nations) are caught up to meet Messiah at his return. We know that is going to be at the Mt. of Olives - where He will reign on the earth. You are absolutely correct that we have to compare NT/OT. The prophesy of Zechariah was confirmed by the angel in Acts 1. From the Mt. of Olives - the way he left is how he will return.

@Amidat While it is far to difficult to discuss here, I am of the opinion that the 2nd Exodus described by Jeremiah is the return from exile and will be on this plane - ordinary people suddenly awakened to who they are - and then supernaturally protected as they (we?) are gathered. That story is the same story of Israel in Egypt. That is why the Feast are so important because His people will be awakened (Trumpets) judged (Kippur) and gathered (Sukkot) then presented to the Father on the 8th day.

bear this in mind: Christ clearly established a pattern at His first coming and that pattern is, He fulfilled the holy days both one the exact day and in unbroken succession this is truth. we know this to be true. Therefore we know through the scripture that the fall holy days will also be fulfilled in unbroken succession

so if the rapture is to occur on tishri 1, then it will be occuring exactly 10 days before the second coming and this proves there is no pre-trib rapture

No man knows the things of God, until He personally reveals them to us (Cor 2:11-14; Luke 24:45; Mark 4:11; Rom 11:7; II Thes 2:11; Jere 6:10; etc). Man is 100% at God's mercy to understand the Word. Biblical Truth, as well as Salvation, are precious GIFTS of the Lord few will ever be GIVEN. They are not obtained by man's free will. This will be evident when 6.8+ billion non-elect people are left behind to make payment for their sin debt starting in 38 days, on May 21.

As God's Word goes out into the world, the Lord gathers His People, and marks the rest for death. In our day, God's Word is, "Judgment Day is May 21, 2011." As this message blankets the earth in 60 languages for the past 3+ years, the Lord gathers His people. There is no need to have ever stepped foot in a church. Salvation has always been a private transaction between the Lord and that individual. The only requirement of Salvation is Rom 10:17.

The Eternal Living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, hand picked, and paid the sin-debt of His Heirs, before the world began (II Ti 1:9; Ep 1:4-5; etc). What we do in our flesh has 0 eternal value, and makes 0 impact on Salvation. Once Elected, the person was guaranteed entrance into the Kingdom of God. That is absolutely WRONG. The Roman jailer said to Paul, "what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and though shalt be saved and thy house." Acts 16:31 If you deny Christ there is no chance of salvation.

I deserve to die and go to Hell and so does every other person that ever lived. That's false church doctrine that isn't supported in the Bible. Neither is a place of eternal torment called 'hell'. Hell=grave. The wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal torture!! God was merciful. He allowed non elect man (98-99% of the human race) to live, die, and return to the dust. Only the 1-2% will inherit the PRECIOUS GIFT of immortality in 38 days. Some 6.8+ bliion people will be left behind to die on May 21. Christ only paid the sin debt of the Remnant

No. I have no church affilation. I stand on the Bible alone, in it's entirety. If our goal is Truth (Christ), we must follow basic Bible study principles. Such as,

1) Comparing Scripture with Scripture

2) Allowing the Bible to define it's own Word's

3) Testing our conclusions against the rest of the Bible for conflicts. If we have conflicts, our conclusion is wrong.

Acts 16:31 declares, "Believe on the Lord, and you will be saved'

If we DON"T follow the Biblcial rules, and ignore the rest of the Bible, it would be easy to conclude I just have to have mental assent, and I will have eternal life. Problem is, this thinking violates Rom 3:10-12, 9:6, 9:15-23, 11:5; Ps 51:5, 58:3, Jere 17:9; Mat 15:18-19; John 1:13; II Tim 1:9; Eph 1:4-5, 2:7-8; Gal 2:16; etc. Meaning our conclusion is incorrect. Of course, many churches just ingnore the conflicts, and create their own free-will god. This is idol worship!

Although someone is guaranteed to inherit immortality on the basis of Election (step # 1), they need to be given steps 2 & 3. Step 2 will be given to an Elect in the presence of God's Word (ie thief on the cross), but his Salvation is still not complete. But, with His new 'heart' (Ezek 36:24-27; Jere 24:7; De 30:6; etc), this person will now have the Fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23), and will believe the Lord will finish the process, and give him step # 3.

If you read Isaiah's prophecies... as well as Revelation... you see that death is not the place of torture... but there will be one.. it's the Valley of Himnon. The lake of fire as seen in revelation is where all the enemies of God will go - including "hell" (the grave). As far as many of the other things... I disagree - but that is too much for this forum.

Some 50+ Biblical signs and proofs support these dates. Time ends on Oct 21. The celestial time clock of the earth, moon, and sun will be destroyed. Meaning, man is extinct in 27 weeks. The massive earthquake (Rev 16:18) will topple every city on earth on May 21, the Rapture & day 1 of Judgment.
