Most likely you are right. What he should have done is have all the kids go to the rear of the bus to put weight on the suspension, let about 50 psi out of all the rear tires and back out.

You know another thing he could have been driving a sports team and reluctantly got talked into going through the drive through. Those coaches can be pretty demanding sometimes. I've lost count of the times I've heard the phrase, "Our last driver was able to get through".

Is it just the current public school situation and the dumbing down of America, or has anyone but me figured out by now that, by letting a few pounds of air out of each tire, the bus would lower enough to clear the awning and there would have been minimal damage. I was there and this was soo fricking funny. we were sitting in the car after watching this bus have a little trouble getting around the cornor of the drive-through. when we heard the loud crunches i told my frined to get out and see what it was. luckly he had his camera in the car. I SALUTE YOU BUS DRIVER GOVERNMENT WORKER GUY! I SALUTE YOU.
