I grew up in the Roman Catholic church. I never did then and still do not understand to this day why all the "good" catholics I grew up with will without thought vote for the party of Abortion, the party opposed to Jesus Christ every election. Since I am not even US citizen I don't care much about American party lines. In the end many politicians in both of the big parties are corrupt and driven by big business interests. But the Democrats are the lesser evil. And the Merriam-Webster Dictionary reads: "isolable, Function: adjective, capable of being isolated." And adjectives don't go well together with a modal auxiliary verb like "can". The verb "isolate" in conjunction with "can" would make more sense in you sentence.
