Just on what you said about his use of the same villains (by the way Two Face is in Hush) I would have liked to see him use Firefly, Clayface and Black Mask at some point because I've only ever read a couple of decent stories with those two featured and I can't recall Loeb using them, he does seem to use everyone else though.

Critics are always the ones that were never good enough to do what they criticize. Hush was the biggest thing back in the day and you bought every issue and variant......you know it.
As much as the Red Hulk, A.K.A. General Thunderbolt Ross is a villain-sue,(A villain with Mary-sue/Gary-Stu traits) in terms of punching out The Watcher, I'm not really impressed by it because to be the Watcher always seemed like an overpowered pussy anyway. He has powers that are relatively God-like and does nothing with'em. So for him to get knocked out by a being less than him seems expected.
I really enjoyed long halloween, and dark victory. I enjoyed hush but mainly for jim lee's art. I loved his writing in those two batman novels but his other writings seem like pure entertainment and plot twists just thrown into a comic to make it feel like a story.

I agree with you on continuity issues, and from what hear, his work at Marvel is pretty terrible, but I did enjoy Hush, despite knowing his identity in advance.
Superman For All Seasons and his run on the monthly Superman comics (1999-2001) wasn't bad at all. I don't follow Marvel much, but from what I gather he absolutely sucks now.

I think of Jeph Leob as hit and miss. Batman: The Long Halloween is the best written Batman stories ever and Superman For All Season is amazing. I am a huge fan of all Loeb's Batman work, and I think it would unfair to completely criticize them for predictable plot twists while overlooking the struggles he put's Batman through and the overall plot itself.
Loeb and Liefeld should seriously team up and produce some sort of comics super-turd that's so horrible, the print workers blow themselves up to keep any of the issues from making it out of the factory. Each book that survives will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, although reading them will still make your eyeballs cave in.
They've worked together, sure, but the results weren't nearly as bad as I'm hoping for here. They're capable of so much more.
They aren't going to realize their full potential for harm until they have to start bringing in a constant stream of new letterers and colorists to replace the ones who kill themselves at their worktables.
Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Superman of all Seasons, and Supergirl were some of his better stuff. But I disliked Hush, Public Enemies, and other stuff he did. it wasnt interesting. worse was when he has too many cameos of chartures I dont know pop into the action and the story suffers. by the by Paul Dini made Hush a far more interesting charture then Lobe did.

In his original plan, Xorn was actually Magneto. Someone else screwed it up and make the whole convaluted storyline where its xorns brother or something. Yes that was stupid, but it wasnt Morrison.
Jeph's continuity sucked in 90s marvel titles. It was like he never read an issue in the past and changed everything about them. And changes weren't really done for any reason but to have a token personality. And he always wrote "if'n" instead of "if". "If'n" is short for "IF AND WHEN". It was almost always misused and got real annoying.

As much as the Red Hulk, A.K.A. General Thunderbolt Ross is a villain-sue,(A villain with Mary-sue/Gary-Stu traits) in terms of punching out The Watcher, I'm not really impressed by it because to be the Watcher always seemed like an overpowered pussy anyway. He has powers that are relatively God-like and does nothing with'em. So for him to get knocked out by a being less than him seems expected.

I think of Jeph Leob as hit and miss. Batman: The Long Halloween is the best written Batman stories ever and Superman For All Season is amazing. In my opinion, he and Tim Sale are the best collaborators on both of them. But I agree on Hush a little, but I love Jim Lee's artwork even though the story is average.

Loeb and Liefeld should seriously team up and produce some sort of comics super-turd that's so horrible, the print workers blow themselves up to keep any of the issues from making it out of the factory. Each book that survives will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, although reading them will still make your eyeballs cave in.

Jeph's continuity sucked in 90s marvel titles. It was like he never read an issue in the past and changed everything about them. And changes weren't really done for any reason but to have a token personality. And he always wrote "if'n" instead of "if". "If'n" is short for "IF AND WHEN". It was almost always misused and got real annoying.

@blowshimselfupdude If you are a fan of Morrison I'm not surprised that you don't like Loeb. The writing styles are just way too different and to each there own, but really? Make a video about this? You should be making videos about why your favorite writer is awesome instead of the troll city that's going on here.

@PlaidHappiness Your right they have very different styles. Grant writes inteligent stories with complext characters. Loeb writes the dumbest fucking lowest demoninator aimed shit stories. So yeah very very different.

@blowshimselfupdude I've been reading quite a bit of Grant Morrison lately and let me tell you something. While I do enjoy the idea behind the story the writing is crap. At least with Loeb I can enjoy a story while I'm reading it instead of having to re-read the whole thing just to figure out wtf is going on.

@ajscrewu Joey Q ruined Marvel, but in all actuality Marvel hasn't been good since Jim Shooter left. Red Hulk is the only good thing going on at Marvel other that Stephen King adaptations.

well as I dont read marvel comics, i guess I have no idea how to respond to that... but if i were going to give a speech or make a video, I would at least make myself a cue card so as to not babble on and on repeating myself. of course, I also wouldnt take the time to make a video bitching about how much I dont like someone else's writing when I myself am not a writer for the medium...

this is so true. i mean comon. u wanna know what comic he made? death of the HULKS! like what the hell. he killed off one of the greatest marvel characters, making a fool of hulk, he made RED-hulk beat him. he even made hulk die from getting a spear through him. that cant kill hulk, hulk has survived nuclear bombs and milions of spears. he has no knowledge of hulk what-so-ever. jeph loeb is a bad comic writer.
