The only reason FFVI is overshadowed by FFVII is purely because of graphics. I don't blame the FFVII fans out there because the majority of them probably never picked up a FF title before it. I've played every single FF since the first and FFVI is definitely the greatest.

This movie brings back alot of great memories. To me FF6 was the greatest final fantasy. I remember playing that part over and over. Still not tired of it!

I'm amazed, yet slightly surprised, that there's orchestra for FF-Music only.

And I don' think the woman's voice fits it so well, but it's great to hear this with vocals. ^^

The guy was a bit hard to hear, but it's hard to do that with the orchestra right behind you.

Me and my little brother were 8 and 6 respectively when this game came out. And we bought it immediately. It is THE best game out there, and this was my FAVORITE part of the game. We actually listen to this music almost daily. I have a cd in my car of all the FF6 music. Its beautiful. And this just gives it even more justice. I love it. I want to see it live sooooo badly.

I went to the one in Baltimore with my wife. I literally cried during the performance! What an amazing peice, and to hear it performed live was absolutely moving. All I could think of was playing that scene in FF6 over and over again, because it was the coolest video game moment (at the time). If you have an opportunity to go, DO IT!

The single greatest composition ever written for a game. Period. I understand alot of fan boys would prefer FFVII and it's "One Winged Angel" to be re-made on a modern console, but for an old fogie like me it doesn't get any better than this. Final Fantasy VI is the single greatest video game ever made, and if you're from that era and bothered to play it, I think you'd be hardpressed to disagree. Long live the Super Nintendo, Nobuo Uematsu, and FFVI!

@setzer3333 I fully agree. They can keep VII cause it aint no where NEAR as good as six or as we know it Final Fantasy III for SNES. I remember I sat down and memorized every word from the opera scene. They just don't make games like that anymore.

And when you actually think about it, it's true. I'd say there are only a few characters in FF7 that have any redeeming qualities, (and I don't include those plot devices Sephiroth and Aeris, either) whereas the entire cast of FF6 is fantastic! Seriously, how could you NOT like this game better?!

@setzer3333 Kinda cool seeing my words written by someone else. lol I've been saying that exact thing for 10 years now! The first generation of final fantasy fans stand by FF6 (sometimes 4) the same way the second generation of fans stand by 7. And objective viewpoint shows that FF6 is THE ultimate final fantasy installment, and this soundtrack is part of the reason why.

@setzer3333 I do agree to some extent. If some song isn't "One winged Angel" or music from Castlevania: SOTN or Zelda: Ocarina of time it's basically given the middle finger. There composorers wrote HUNDREDS of songs and all you frat fans can think of is "ONE WINGED ANGEL, SOTN, OOT" . . . .

@championofgods it probably has to do with the jpop influence that started bleeding from FF starting with 7... the influence was unwelcome, especially coming off of FF6.
