TERA online - PvP: Slayer vs All Classes

This looks really good, going to try it out, I wasn't going to give it a try, thought it was just another Korean mmo, but your movements look so smooth it might have a lot of room for skill in pvp, and that is what I like in MMOs.

ive been playing the Beta, and tbh, slayer is by far the best pvp class at the moment, apart from the fact that an archer can never defeat a mystic using a tanking pet as they always stand infront of you !!!!!!!!!!!!

@DoozyZoo blade and soul is an OK game. the combat is not the best but one really good thing is => no mounts needed. I played in CBT2 and the only thing i was doing was sprinting and jumping (it's so worth it =^^=)

People are used to like 10 spells at least that you fire and cc and this game is utilizing more of a movement/dodging based system along with aiming. If a little more skill based and think about dodging and constantly moving while trying to handle 20 spells or attacks, its a little much.

@drakola417 later in the game you end up have more than 10-20 spells i can assure you... but a lot of abilities can be triggered by combos which can then be executed by hitting your space bar or hold it if it is a charge move. Been playing it on Korean servers it is a fantastic game... it is a shame the game isnt doing well in korea.

tbh, the gameplay seems a bit boring. I mean, it looks like he is just swinging in the same pattern over and over again. I was hoping the would be interesting if it had a jumping mechanic, varied attack system, or if the scenery played a role at all

@LaCnews Its not based on a stat whether you hit them or not and you dont swing randomly. You swing with good aim and its based on your aiming. when your fighting someone with good dodging you better aim where they will be. Its skill based rather then relying on a stat.

wow that dashing skill is so anti-ranged, its ALMOST not funny.

except its a fat racoon dashing at you with a sword taller than himself.. so i do laugh.

im gona start archer.i hope they have enough stun/root/slow skills cuz most archeer videos ive seen they just run around and do some charge-arrow looking attack with a pierce property that hits in a straight line. and one trap. if not, then ill grab whatever class has good crowd control.

the game looks rlly nice and all that pve etc. then when it comes down to pvp it just don't fit to the current targeting system that they have. Looks like robots fighting each other. Walk stop aim turn aim cast walk stop aim cast etc. well for melee its seems ok but for ranged classes it is a dissaster cos they need to time the aim cast in time to get it right etc. When melee just can brainfreez forward attack and zerg. I think this game will eventully fail cos of the pvp. maybe i am wrong dunno

@irrehaare if u got a lag issue ingame u either have low spec computer or u got crappy internet lag is avoidable with a good internet service and if u cant afford a new computer or better internet service then why u play mmo's in the first place if u got such bad lag :P so if yes if u have lag ur fucked but lag is avoidable u just gotta get off ur ass and get a real computer and not one from 1993 :P

@mageofsommoning You misunderstood me, I said that lag does affect quality of your game play in hitbox based games,.lag meaning latency and ping not low frames per second. Just a side note my rig is always superb quality, homemade build and replaced every two, max three years. Its one of those things I just spend money on.

@xDontFaintx I wouldn't say that anyone with the slightest lag will be fucked. People are playing on korean servers with quite a big latency as in right now, but yeah, stable connection will be more important than with auto-targeting hotkeys MMOs.

@xDontFaintx It looks like you haven't played many not main stream MMos then. Right now you have at least three new titles on the market with hit box based combat: Darkfall, Mortal Online and Earthrise, bah even multiple hit box in the case of MO. There are other much older titles which did it as well. I agree about lag it does affect combat quality. I doubt I will play TERA. I just hate their Asian art style: some idiotic mob designs, playable panda races and oversized swords.
