  • I met him at a rolls meet in california

  • Hi Pete

  • Did he tell the camera man to cut the camera at the end? Lol

  • Thanks.

  • At least dry clean hands are required. A dusting with talc is helpful. Corrosion from perspiration should not be a problem for fifty years or more (if ever). I've always worked with bare hands and find gloves more of a hindrance than an aid. For those with delicate skin, especially on the thumb when winding the initial three turns, perhaps a bit of tape might help.

  • I thought bare hands was a no no with bass strings?

  • (brazil) eu não entendo nada de piano, mas vejo que é um belo trabalho...

  • Depends on the size of the piano but could range from 200 to 300 for a set of bass strings usually made by Mapes in Tennessee. Samples are required and the number of bichords etc. Treble wire is pulled from spools ranging in thickness from #13 to #22 wire.

  • how much does it cost to buy strings pre made like those in a bag?
