  • He marched with Star of Indiana after marching with me in SCV in 1992. BK in 1994.

  • Wow, an I&E snare solo that's actually musically and rhythmically interesting and engaging and performed w/in a metric structure. Well done. Wish there were more like it.

  • I'm glad that Queen has become a sort of unofficial spokesperson for drum corps-style snare drumming. Sometimes people who aren't great at something become associated with it through sheer circumstance. But Queen really is a super-talent. And I, for one, am thankful to have had him and a handful of other cats to really emulate over the years.

  • did he march anywhere besides BK?

  • @jsk8drummer Oh yeah. Canton Bluecoats, Velvet Knights, Santa Clara Vanguard and University of North Texas. Jeff was also an original member of BLAST!

  • @FleugenFlagen I'm not sure that is correct. There is no mention of that in Jeff's Bio from his website, plus, the 1993 DCI Snare Individual record shows him in 7th place, with a score of 93.50, with the affiliation of the Blue Knights.

  • @gbrhythm Jeff followed Ralph to BK in '93. There's video of it on YouTube.

  • @FleugenFlagen He did not march Star, Nick Angelis did
