I purchased a BOSUN halogen cooker a few months ago from ebay brand new, and the plastic melted and all the screws holdind the electric motor fell out, very very dangerous. I cannot contact the seller, so all you that are thinking of buying one only buy a recomended make.
I would be lost with out my Halogen oven, I use it every day and have fun making up menus, best gadget I have ever had Wow!. I live in Spain and I broke the glass bowl shock horror, it was replaced with in 3 days only cost me 9€ and that was delivered to my door. Just bought one for my daughter, now she can enjoy!!
I got one from JML (they're not paying me for this but I'm writing it cos it's good). Does the best roast potatoes ever. Roll 'em in oil and throw 'em in. Perfect boiled egg - just put it in for 4 minutes, in the shell! Trying a whole chicken right now... Not sure how I'll baste the bird... I'll need to get a long spoon with an unfeasibly small end...
egg - just put in in. Press start. 4 minutes, one boiled egg. OK, not physically "boiled" cos no water, but crack open the shell and there it is: what we know and love - boiled egg. Send the soldiers in!
Update: It does roast chicken great - no basting required at all during the cooking. It ends up crispy on outside and perfect. The only 'problem' I have is the oven's claim to be "Self-Cleaning" - it isn't. You have to scoop the fat out and THEN put water and soap in and put it on clean cycle. THEN you have to empty that and wipe it a bit and rinse. But it's a great thing, all in all. Not sure about how cheap it is to run, tho.
Yeah I use it all the time, its great, no more waiting for the old fashion ovens to heat up. Cook the food much much better, and the bacon and cheese party snacks cook excellent in it
Looks Great!!!! If you want to watch water spin in a glass container and cook frozen onions rings and such. You have phenomenal advertisement skills where can I learn such talent!!!!
I've always wanted to know, how does it feel to be so stupid? Does it make your life harder, or easier? Anyway, this is CLEARLY not an advertisement at all. This is just a guy who bought a halogen oven and likes it.
Mine cost around 160

Does it really work? What is the coocking time for a normal steak?
ChristophersMiles 3 years ago
Usually stuff cooks in around half the time it takes in an oven.

What kind of things do you yourself cook inside it?
