You have falls where ever you go. I have been riding for over 14 years and have had a horse flip over ontop of me while climbing a steep hill when we were trail riding. It doesn't have to something as serious as steeplechase or crosscountry. Anything as simple as everyday riding will have falls.

I always hate watching stuff like this, because there are always pictures, where you know the horse isnt going ot escape without getting a broken neck or leg, and in over 95% in either case, the horses odds of making it are very slim
I think rodeo racing is cruel. I hate how they hurt the horse to do wild stunts. And no offense to the people who like horse racing, I don't like it at all. My point exactly. Horses AREN'T dumb. God knows I think my gelding is smarter than most people I know, but accidents DO happen, just like athletes. I don't see any videos up here about how athletes are abused. These horses love what they do, and accidents happen. If you're working with an animal that weighs over 1000 lbs, then yes, sometimes things happen.
Why?Its just a sports disaster video if you really think about it. People think other ones are hilarious. Rodeos aren't mean. O.o At least, not any more mean than any other riding discipline, other than maybe casual trail riding.
Have you people ever even been to a rodeo? Talked to the people that participate? Actually see (in person, not just the junk that's posted online) how the animals are treated? I'm not saying every rodeo is perfect, but the vast majority are not terrible.

Brick walls? That's foam, they try to make jumping as safe as they can and make sure the horse can actually do what it can! AND horses usually really enjoy it! If a horse got its hoof caught in a pole it would come down.
Rodeos on the other hand are purely for human entertainment horses don't enjoy a single bit! They scare the horses, harm the horses and just are horrible b*%!@*^s!

i'm a hunter jumper. i've got a big black thoroughbred named yobee, and he absolutely loves to work. he'll jump anything and look good doing it. the other day my trainer said she wasn't sure she'd ever known a horse that loved to work as much as he does. but generally speaking, it is almost never something that happens because of anything the horse OR the rider did. you know? shit happens.

My point exactly. Horses AREN'T dumb. God knows I think my gelding is smarter than most people I know, but accidents DO happen, just like athletes. I don't see any videos up here about how athletes are abused. These horses love what they do, and accidents happen. If you're working with an animal that weighs over 1000 lbs, then yes, sometimes things happen.

Why?Its just a sports disaster video if you really think about it. People think other ones are hilarious. I think it paints a good pictures as a horsewoman of 15 years I've been in several of these predicaments I'm not offended. I think it might let people just just how dangerous horses and riding are.

even if they treat the horses "good' at some rodeos , they could get hurt and die every time someone tries to ride them and its just wrong to force a horse to have someone on its back , cause it gets stressed and scared , and the crowd makes it even worse ! so it doesn't matter if they treat the horse good between the shows.

Rodeos aren't mean. O.o At least, not any more mean than any other riding discipline, other than maybe casual trail riding.
Have you people ever even been to a rodeo? Talked to the people that participate? Actually see (in person, not just the junk that's posted online) how the animals are treated? I'm not saying every rodeo is perfect, but the vast majority are not terrible.

and half of them horses werent angry. theres horses u can ride and horses u cant ride. and those that u cant ride usually get sent to rodes.

Brick walls? That's foam, they try to make jumping as safe as they can and make sure the horse can actually do what it can! AND horses usually really enjoy it! If a horse got its hoof caught in a pole it would come down.
Rodeos on the other hand are purely for human entertainment horses don't enjoy a single bit! They scare the horses, harm the horses and just are horrible b*%!@*^s!

In my opinion (just an opinion guys, before you all start...) rodeo riders get what they deserve, and because horses are such big animals, any fall looks dramatic, even the ones that aren't bad falls (i.e. where no one gets hurt)

hey jackass ive been riding horses for 19 years ive been on some very talented athletes but i hate to tell you they are one dumb animal. any animal thats at least 4 times more powerful than you that surrenders to your will is dumb. i know the relationship thing with them as well, but sweetie i have seen horses spook at the same water hose they see every day or a noise they hear regularly, smart animals arent naturally scared i love them they are my passion but they are dumb

ever heard of a bullfight,cockfight,dogfight, or horsefight?ever seen the 7 inch screws they drive into the heel of a tennesee walking horse to make them look ridiculously unnatural?Im not in the rodeo but dont be arrogant enough to claim rodeo is the only cruel sport over half of RACEHORSES end up in the slaughter house before they reach 4 yrs old because they arent fast enough when they could be used for jumping dressage,trailpleasure or maybe even the rodeo! dont bitch bout other disciplines!

o.k.. my othr friend... ok soo her horse tripped and couldnt regain his grip.. stumbled, landed on my friend:rider, and fell on his back, he got scared and ran around afew laps, till the warmblood i was riding backed up and stopped in front of the horse... the two horses met nose to nose... and became bffls!

Those Steeplechasers didn't mean to fall. It was because of there jockeys poor planning, some of them probaly died because of it.

Horses dont fall cause they are pissed off. And quit slagging jockeys, event riders and showjumpers ask horses to excel as much as any other sport horse riders. I ride racehorses and i know for a fact that the horses enjoy their work because they are fit, healthy and well looked after. If they were not they wouldn show the enthusiam that they do. The rodeo falls look tough on the vid. All kinda fascinating.

i'm a hunter jumper. i've got a big black thoroughbred named yobee, and he absolutely loves to work. he'll jump anything and look good doing it. the other day my trainer said she wasn't sure she'd ever known a horse that loved to work as much as he does. but generally speaking, it is almost never something that happens because of anything the horse OR the rider did. you know? shit happens.
