@mjmets37 these. got them a week ago and wasn't very impressed at first. after letting them burn in for 3 days, they sound UTTERLY AMAZING. i feel immersed in a world of my own when i put them in. you will not go wrong with these. everything is perfectly balanced. the mids are strong, bass isn't overpowering but still punchy and highs are so unbelievably clear. they don't even hint at distortion (>0.1% total harmonic distortion) and a bloody kevlar reinforced cable (bulletproof cable) lol! enjoy

@666megaslut I'm also about to buy them, but I've heard some bad things about it. Does this really have a good bass? I listen to heavy music as metal music, or just some classical music (Vivaldi, bach, beethoven, etc). No hiphop no pop, no anyother. I like perfect tones of guitar, a good balanced bass and treble,etc. Could help me?

@THE16THPHANTOM this is in no way at all made for apple products....LOL. Sennheiser is its own company with its own affiliations and has no relation with apple. On a side note, apple players suck, so if you care about sound quality, buy a cowon. Plus, cowons are open source so you can put any type of high quality music file (like FLAC or vorbis lossless audio, or ALAC) which some of which are not supported by itunes.

sennheiser ie6 has a lot of bass but it takes over 100hrs of listening for the bass to really start getting good

Screw the reviews, this headphone has no bass. Maybe I havent baked it long enough, but out of the box, it has no base and it sounds like Apples cheap ass default headphone.

@nicholasquall Sennheisers typically have no bass.. You can amp them to their full potential though.

@SchneiderStudios That's incorrect, Sennheiser is highly known for the bass in their products. However, when you are purchasing the IE6/7/8 you are buying them not only for bass, which is actually very accurate, but you are buying them for the clarity and the accuracy of the drivers.  These are very good headphones, however the sound signature may not be for everyone.

Could someone tell what is the main difference(s) between the IE6, IE7 and IE8. And I'm looking for a new pair of in-ear earphones, i listen to heavy music (metal, heavy metal etc. NO Hiphop or anything like that) and i want the clearity of the guitar sounds and a decent bass amount, which do you recommend, Shure SE535 or Sennheiser IEs? Thanks

@timothyln12 They are very much bassless. Yes they are very clear. If you want something like the Turbine go with the JAYS a-Jays Three or t-Jays Three.
