She left him after he was convicted. It's sad that Doug had to die because Jason couldn't tell she was lying to him to get her kids back.

It's also terrible that his parents want to get a murderer out of prison. Don't they think about Doug's family? At least the Kent's still have their son, they should be thankful for that much.
