  • it seems that ea is just ENCOURAGING us to pirate their games

  • Oh and P.S it's been almost 2 years...how did your boycott go? lol...those rarely work for major companies like this....

  • @MckinneyMini

To date, I have yet to buy an online pass and I encourage others to do the same. I don't care if "it worked" or not. I stand my ground and call for other gamers to do the same.

So when the developers and studios ruin retail gaming and put hundreds of thousands of people out of work I'll know I did what I thought was right and spoke my mind as much as I could. It's not about "Winning" it's about doing what I feel is right.

  • For example, you rarely see a car that just came out a week ago at a used car dealership...

  • The reason you don't like it is because you sell used games lol. So, honestly it affects you more than the consumer. As a consumer I should be paying the full price for the game honestly. That is why Developers get pissed at Gamestop and places like that because someone buys the game full price launch day, beats it in 10 -20 hours and then sells it back to the used store and someone else buys a game that just launched for $10 less, but its hardly even used. You don't see that with other markets

  • @MckinneyMini

You're wrong. it turns out that It has virtually no effect on me as a business owner at all. I buy the games cheaper and sell them cheaper. they still come in regardless. It hurts the person who buys them new and then tries to find value in them later.

I know developers too. I have friends with Sega, EA Tiburon, and Capcom. They all do very well.

No, I make my comments as a gamer. plain and simple. This system hurts the consumer.

  • @L1Games

Oh! BTW, if developers would make games with replay value, they wouldn't see people trading them in after 10 hours of gameplay. Don't go blaming the consumer when studios toss out games that are as shallow as a puddle and then get mad that people aren't keeping them. I challenge any current Gen FPS to show me it has as much substance as an older title like Timesplitters 3. or Skyrim for that matter (which isn't traded all that often because it offers WEEKS of gameplay)

  • I agree with everything except the part where you said it does NOTHING to hurt the industry. Wrong!! My brother is the lead level designer (engineer) for Infinity Ward's Bioshock Infinite and as an insider I can tell you it does hurt the industry and there has been a war between Gamestop's and Developers for years.

  • the sad thing is people will still buy these. People pay for xbox live with little to no questions asked, so this is nothing to them

  • So fellow gamers, I know it is hard for you to believe or conceive. We as gamers are really pioneers in the rights of pure digital, artificial merchandise. As we the human race evolve discovering new forms of practice, and application, whether it be in science all the way to business. Unethical business practices have been snuck in countless times. And until we fight it like those in the past did it will continue. Quit thinking we won all our rights, new rights are created as we evolve.

  • I wanted to post this last thing, I want it to be clear this has nothing to do with Piracy. This does nothing at all to stop Pirating, in fact it only encourages pirating for the fact making a legal purchase of a game used is now punished by the developer. Either with out online play, or now missing single player content that is advertised to be with the original release. What gamers don't understand is we are really at a precipice of our technological consumer rights.

  • I'm sorry I posted so many times, but the fact nothing has been done about this is atrocious. I haven't bought a single game in 7 months. It isn't because i'm angry about games it is because i'm tired of these ridiculous practices. I'll be happy with Megaman 8 and Final Fantasy Tactics, Rome Total War ect all day. Fuck the modern gaming companies, they are robbing people, and limiting they're god given right to freely trade what they purchase. Thanks for the time.

  • Your children are growing up on an entire generation of games that are half complete, and finished through patches and "DLC". I remember when companies had to make games and not constantly make expansion packs lmao, you know what i'm talking about. Not to mention when these servers are gone 15 years from now, and they will be. You'll have a bunch of games with missing and unreachable content. So you better start mass saving hard drives lmao drive up sales for all they're partners.

  • What the industry seeks is as i've said a completely controlled market that won't allow to you borrow games from friends anymore. Oh they might eventually find a fancy online game swap in the future but for now, hell no. And for people with out Internet access you ask, they're third class customers. Not to mention in the future when the 360 Live servers are shut down exactly like the original XBOX, how will you get all this precious content on these old games? Lmao you people are set up.

  • And the people claiming only 10% of the game is gone, to some people that could be worth multiplayer. I'm sorry the developers think they understand all gamers. Could you imagine Super Mario Bros minus two player unless you had an online code? Because that is the road we are headed down. And strikes are not going to work, we need to take this to a court of law. I don't know where to start or how to begin that is why I ask everyone to come up with an idea on how we could address it in court.

  • You all will not be satisfied until books, movies, games are all digital. A FULLY CONTROLLED AND MONITORED MARKET, one where I cant trade games with my friends. I cant do anything i've been doing since I was 3 years old playing Bubble Bobble on the NES. So why haven't we started talking about legal action? Does some one know something I don't know about the licensing agreement. The stipulation that allows Corporations to devalue they're products intentionally to hurt second hand sales?

  • This can not be legal, no other form of merchandise has any privileged rights in the free market regarding the second hand market. You only purchase the rights to read books the rights to view movies, and the rights to play video games. But like when you sell a book you sell your right to read the entire book you read, you sell your right to view the entire DVD, when you sell your game you are selling your rights to everything you were entitled to. They might as well just destroy hard copies.

  • The problem with you people who buy new is like i've said. The industry are using simple division tactics, they are lying to you. Saying this money is much needed, first they said it was for online improvements and because used games don't pay for they're server space (which is a complete lie). I ask you simple rationale questions, when you purchase the right to view a movie. Can the company who made it suddenly delete the extra scenes and dvd features because you bought it used?

  • I've been saying time and again, Batman Arkham city has went beyond. They are literally cutting cotent that is part of the original release of the game. What this essentially means is that content that you the original purchaser of a retail copy buys rights to are then limited by the developer if you try to sell them. In essence the developer with no right what so ever artificially devalues YOU'RE purchase and its worth in trade. They are essentially screwing everyone personally.

  • This isn't fair at all. It's so annoying. Xbox have to fork out more (800 Microsoft points) which is around $15

  • thats not fair i have 2 ps3s and how will i play it on them after that

  • Fuck EA I mean I have a fucking whinny little brother a a big brother who always want the code but now were gonna have to give the mass effect 3 code to our little brother or he'll cry to our mom

  • Comment removed

  • Funny.... If EA really believed what they were saying they would not allow people to buy DLC, period without an online pass.. But that's different, they make more money that way..

  • EA games suck, from cabo de hornos to alaska and from uk to tasmania

  • Instead of paying for an online pass get all your ea games for free, that will teach them.

  • EA is really unfair. Used games are therefore invalidated by EA.

Should we prefer to buy other games and not buy EA games?

  • Guys remember not to put the codes in on anyone elses xbox but the one your going to use. If you put it in at a friends or a secondary xbox, even if your signed into your profile it won't matter bc it ties to the xbox not your gamertag. I got ripped off 15 bucks because of this!

  • Ill wait for someone to disable the security on multiplayer i cant shell out $60 every five minutes for a new game. Movie producers spend millions on making movies yet when it comes out on dvd they are like $20. besides game devs make dlc faster than the next cod so in retrospect they are getting their fortunes worth. Devs are just blowing it out of proportin and blaming consumers that buy used games for piracy because in their eyes used games are piracy.

  • This online pass is ridiculous! I bought a used game from a changes website and now i need to paid if i want play on line! I already paid to have the game. Why should i pay again? Do like me, trow the fucking cd to trash can to protest!!!!

  • FUCKIN EA! READ THIS COMMENT. THIS IS THE MOST BULLSHIT THING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY. MULTIPLAYER IS THE BIGGEST THING RIGHT NOW AND YOU CHARGE US EXTRA FOR PAYING YOUR USED SHITTY GAMES!? I HAVE TO PAY FOR XBOX LIVE PLUS YOUR FUCKING ONLINE PASS IF I BUY USED? THIS IS WAY MORE GREEDY THAN ACTIVISION!

  • Boycotts wont work.

Heres the problem, game companies have these things called "fanboys". "Fanboys" will make excuses and defend ANYTHING and will say ANYTHING. If I had a penny for every time I heard the lines "Ea is a buisness and they have to make money" and "Servers cost money stop complaining" I would have enough pennies to buy microsoft.

Its over. Online passes are going to happen and theres nothing you can do. Just find a new hobby or buy nintendo.

  • @Muscleman1388

your attitude toward the situation is just as bad as a fanboy's is.

Maybe there is no changing it. but that doesn't mean I wont be educating my fellow gamers, taking a stand, and speaking out whenever possible.

If everyone just gave up because they thought there was nothing they could do. then nothing would ever get accomplished.

  • @L1Games I know bro. Im trying to spread the word but people just dont care or they love the developers too much to say no.

Even tho I do a lot of gaming on PC I will no longer support Ea or any company that uses a online pass system so they will never see a penny from me. I hate those nasty pirates but I think I might give them some support when it comes to Ea titles. Seriously, not being able to let your cousin use you're xbox game for a few weeks is retarded.

  • @Muscleman1388 sooo you want us to pay for our own internet along with live and now more money for1 games to go online mode?

  • Man...Fuck you EA...I wouldn't trust them to hold a rock..cuz they gonna sell it for money...Im sick and tired of big companies like EA fucking up everything...First C&C Series Then Dragon Age 2...Whats next Mass Effect 3!?..I wont ever buy a another EA game!! Thanks EA for making me buy 65$ worth piece of plastic (Battlefield 3).Now i have to deal with fucking Origin and your Fucking trojans!..And worst of all BF 3 keeps constantly crashing...Im gonna get my games from Pirate Bay from now on.

  • Got the game and cant play online as my brothers ysed the pass. Fuck you ea you moneywhores

  • This is stupid. I dont have much money at the moment so I have to buy some of my video games used and xbox 360 is so expensive with gold membership and ad ons. I finally got battlefield 3 and now I cant play online with my friends with out that stupid pass. Im using the pirate bay for their next game and will start playing call of duty.

  • @farrahranya Call of Duty AND the Pirate Bay. GENIUS! May I recommend the original game if you're in need of a single player challenge?

  • @SpeedyCXLIX I dont understand your question.

  • I'm sorry L1games do I need the online pass to play a multiplayer.... just asking beacuse this is my first time playing multiplayer plzzzzzzzzzzzzz answer pleeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzeeeeeee

  • everyone that talks about the online pass is bald

  • I have a used copy of BF3, as soon as I learned I needed to have an online pass to play it online.. I never play it, EVER. I don't even bother to play Campaign! I never even put the game into the disk tray, and pressed "launch". God, they ruined the game I waited years for in 5 seconds! I was so damn excited to play it. But now, I don't even consider buying anymore EA games. EA, you just converted a big fan into a MW3 player.

  • +1 for the video. As a casual gamer who picks up a game or two every year. I really wanted BF3 and Fifa 12 until I learned about the online code B.S. Now I refuse to buy them as I am boycotting EA. First they monopolize the NFL games, and now this.

  • I'm not even getting mass effect 3 even tho I know it's an awesome game,I'm just that pissed against the online pass thing.

  • @techieSean49

Don't spam my videos you freakin moron.

  • If Mass Effect 3 has this online pass when its released I'll have to buy it anyway, I didnt wait all this time to wait longer, but I wont buy any other EA games with the pass xD

  • thnx alot i forgot all about my online code lol

  • If you buy a used car, you should have to pay an extra $1,000 to unlock the brake feature, isn't it obvious?

  • i love how we have to pay the cost of doing buissness and be the consumer

if you got a hard on about geting paid twice ea ubisoft bla bla bla charge gamestop and make it a cost of doing buissness they have no negative and we are geting screwed yet again as the consumer.

  • Someone that buys the game new is buying into the single and multiplayer experience with direct profits to both EA and you the small store owner.

Someone that that buys the game used essentially gets the single and multiplayer experience with EA not seeing a dime of the profits. Of course they want a piece of that pie..Just like you want yours, EA wants theirs. Simple

  • @nkonfya

The profit a small store owner makes on new titles is very small. (about 10% of the cost of the title) Buy, Sell, Trade stores make their money on used games.

And what about the household with multiple accounts/consoles that have to pay an additional $10 so another family member can use the game on a different console/account? I guess the family that buys the game deserves to pay an extra $10 to play a game that the company has already made a massive profit from.

  • @L1Games I agree, I think that the $10 fee is too high. They essentially recover 19% of the sale of a new game everytime a game changes hands. But from a business standpoint, it makes sense. Keep in mind this is a growing industry trend. EA is simply following suit w/ policy put in place by others (I know Ubisoft and maybe others do something similar). I think it makes business sense to make buyers in the used market pay something, but it should be around the $5 range to unlock multiplayer.

  • @nkonfya they already made there profit off that first purchase new they do not deserve and are not entitled to a second payment end of story

  • @nkonfya

EA already made their profit on the original sale. This is pure greed especially for us people on Xbox paying $60 a year to get "online multiplayer" already.

Imagine if Toyota did something similar on the used cars sales. This is straight up monopolization of the gaming industry and borderline illegal.

  • Lets talk about what is "Unfair" as you call it. Someone buys a used game from you. Now of course they get all the perks of single player, but now there is an "unfair" slant. They get the entire multiplayer experience at the expense of the company, in this case EA. Think about that. You the small store owner reabsorb 100% of the resale value effectively at the expense of EA's operational costs of running servers, online contests etc etc. That hardly seems fair.

  • @nkonfya

What hardly seems fair is EA charging $60 for a game that has very little R&D yet turns a multi million dollar net profit. They then turn around and apply that $10 charge to households that buy the game new when other family members want to play it on a different Console/account.

It also seems a little unfair that retail outlets only see about 10% of the cost of the game as profit. (Markup on a $60 game is about $6 - $8) and can only survive on used game sales.

  • @nkonfya So since everyone tells me that Battlefield 3 is only worth buying for the multiplayer, that should be the first thing I'm blocked from, right? There's no difference between them doing this for multiplayer or singleplayer. This doesn't stop here, and it will continue into that territory if not stopped.

  • @YeagerbombandTim

you're exactly right. it has continued. They have already locked Single player content out of games VIA online pass and it's getting worse. Worse still is that people without online service are denied this content altogether even if they buy the game new!

  • @nkonfya except they already made there money off that copy of the game

the person that sold that game to the small store no longer has that game and wont cause a load on the server sence nothing new was added so this argument is invalid yet again.

online pass is a way to milk clients and its wrong and should be illegal.

  • @hardwirecars Let me address your argument. Simply, capitalism isnt about being fair. Thats not how this works. Its about keeping stockholders happy, so that we (hopefully) get better games in the future. If I, as a gamer, stops playing a game, my contribution to server load is over. This means smoother online game play for you (who still plays). Now, if this game is resold through third party, EA still keeps my server load except they dont see any of the money thats changed hands.

  • The online aspect of the game's life has been artificially extended through aftermarkets. EA, through a business standpoint, shouldn't be expected to maintain their online commitment if the game changes hands. If you want it, then pay a modest fee. That's capitalism. Dont like it? stop buying their games, or join them and buy their stock.

  • @nkonfya

Artificially? If EA put more effort into replay value in their games, then maybe they'd see less of their games traded in and resold.

And what about online passes that lock out story mode content? (as we've seen) and what about online passes that aren't guaranteed to be active when you buy a new game (as stated by EA)?

EA has done fine. Used game sales haven't kept them from becoming a multi billion dollar company. This is just an example of A company's pure greed.

  • @nkonfya

If capitalism isn't about being fair then Game developers shouldn't be bitching about how unfair used game sales are.

Especially considering that used game trades contribute a great amount to new game sales. and with more new game sales, Gamers like you and I get more "Better games in the future".

No other industry punishes consumers for buying used items. Realty, books, music, cars, appliances, computers, electronics, ETC. Because used sales Stimulate New sales.

  • @nkonfya im sorry your a console gamers arnt you.

we ase pc gamers pay for our own servers and ea does not have to pay for crap

them adding in a log in server is there choice and we should not be penalized by it

or with the advent of per to per connections a server is not needed at all and there for ea still does not have to pay for servers

make no mistake online pass is not to help with cost of servers.

hardwire gamer for 23 years server admin in training. nice to meet you.

  • @hardwirecars

I'm inclined to agree. Online pass has been in practice about a year and a half now and I have yet to see how it has improved or contributed to the online services offered by EA.

another consideration would be this. If the online pass fee is there to improve the service, then why are there now online passes locking out story mode content? and why does MW3 have both an online pass AND a subscription service? shouldn't those who subscribe be immune to the online pass?

  • @hardwirecars No need to be sorry. Actually, I play games on PC and on console. If I want to play a PC game, I have the option of connecting to an EA server, or a server that's established by the gaming community, moderated by the gaming community. You dont have to pay for your own server, if you do, thats your business. I am impressed with your sarcastic undertones, immaculate spelling, and your credentials. I have had a change of heart. Im going to believe you "server admin in training"

  • @nkonfya hey just because you dont agree does not mean you have to attack my spelling maybe i have a condition i can not help

lets try to be adult about this i did not insult you i was pointing out that the majority of gamers are on console so i had to change up my argument from the pc to the console

and the sarcastic undertones are there and are well deserved when for the past what 6 years consoles have held gaming back and this is even confermed through developers like crytech

  • @hardwirecars And if you believe for one min, that next gen gaming with all the new destructible terrain, graphic loads, players does not equate with increased server load and cost, then hats off to you and the bolder that you've been living under for 23 years.

  • @nkonfya im sorry what part of we pay for servers that hold the code for that destructable enviroment did you not understand

and that code on the console is on disk and is processed through the console (in a per to per) the console not the servers

  • @hardwirecars yea? who pays for that server? You and your 20-25 other buddies that donate? EA runs many of those servers by itself. PC is one thing but another question: how many servers do you manage for console games? By the way, in a capitalistic society, life isnt fair. In response to developers complaining: If the devs complain, then they need to embrace change in the best way they can and stfu.

  • @nkonfya ok are you forced to pay for my servers that i run? why should we be forced to pay for the servers ea puts out if we have the option of runing our own servers?

i dont play on console so yet again why do i have to pay for you to play on one?

in a capitalistic society life is fair you work for what you earn and guess what there are laws to protect against a corp from getting unfair (Microsoft circa 1980's-1990's) i have issues with ea making us use there server host as well.

  • @nkonfya now to continue with your argument

in my 23 years of gaming i have watched the rise and fall of gaming

from E.T. to Halo 1 (hate it all you want it was innovative) ive seen prity much all of them (main stream hits or flops in the case of et.) we get better games when the companys try to be creative with there games and they get rich for it as they should.

i can pinpoint the downfall of gaming this gen to 1 game.

codmw2/WoW it was at this point

    continued.

  • @nkonfya It was at this point companys realized they can milk the loyal fans out of every last penny with out adding any thing new to the mix.

case and point mw2 wait no we can go back to mw1 cod4 and see that nothing of any consiquince has changed up to the current cash cow that is mw3

now other games have fallen to this market ploy (bf3 for 1) and i dare you to show a mmo that does not try to copy wow (there are a few out there yes but they all fail in the end.)

  • @nkonfya Because when big companies like EA make a lot of money, the first thing they think about isn't making more, it's about making us happy (heavy sarcasm)

  • It's appalling, they shouldn't be able to charge you for content that is already on the disc

  • EA fuckin sucks becuz of them i cant play BF3 because of their stupid online pass and the fact that they dont let child accounts play even tho i dont hav a child account

  • if a ps3 has 2 accounts, and 1 of them has a EA pass for Fifa 12, will the pass work for the second account?

  • @mamahu123 nope

  • I LOVE YOU... YOUR SO RIGHT, GOD BLESS YOU BRO. AND MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  • Fuck EA, they are garbage.

BFBC 2 - 3 = decent games, not worth the bullshit hassle of online passes

NFS anything after undercover = pieces of shit that play nothing like the original nfs games

^^ I do own all but shift 1 - 2 << if I want realism I'll go to Forza or GT

to sum it up, EA now blows, end of story

  • @DeadlyHertz I will no longer buy any of EA's shit any more fuck them... Pieces of shit....

  • This is the reason I didn't buy Battlecrap 3.

  • if you already have the ea pass on your gamertag. you can play it on other console as long as it's the same gamertag. is that true?

  • @luqman121998

Yes, for the game it came with and if you're online.

  • Great vid. I will never buy an EA game again... Fuck you EA!

  • I Would like it if they made it FREE Like they said sorry you need to go online and download a pass and type in the password to get online

  • I STRONGLY AGREE!!!!!!!

  • oh yea...ea FIX YOUR SERVERS..you got so much damn money, with the online pass etc..u could atleast get some decent servers already

  • Blockbuster is pissed about this..and so am i...it makes renting from gamefly and other renting places feel cheated....and yet. theres nothing we can do about it...because ALL COMPANIES are doing it now...there ruining the gaming industry..if u dont pay for the pass..u get like 2-4 maps out of 12 or so..when u rent i mean...

  • we can also buy EA games used.that would REALLY piss of EA! lets buy there games from the very market theyre trying to destroy! Send this comment sky high so everyone can read it

  • @bottleofboom hell yeah man. No fucking reason to buy a game from this company, even of its a good game. They're choking out diehard fans and don't even give a fuck. If they don't want to have their games resold and not earn a profit then they should just not sell games to venders without drawing up a contract saying they get a percentage. In fact venders already make too much profit since they'll only but the game back for a few dollars and then sell at full retail. Bullshit

  • Lol, I predict this would be for cars soon, buy a new car get an engine. Buy a used car, no engine and no tires, you have to buy that seperately. Lol

  • my brother and I bought batlefiel, I have 3 consoles waste the baterfiel my brother, and now is a waste is garbage and you can only play one season of 2 hours, no co op, is rubbish because the pass online, never buy it

  • i dont buy games of EA

  • online pass not affecting singleplayer take need for speed the run, they are locking off view photo that is stored on the console and still think one day it's gonna turn into a game pass which will lock off the the whole game

  • how long does the online access code last?

  • "The pass offers different features for each titer."

  • I like to rent games before i buy them and if i can't rent a game and play the multiplayer then why bother buying a game if i have no idea if its worth the 60$

  • Electronic Arts? More like Extortion Arts. FUCK EA

  • The implementation of this $10 online pass also effects those that choose to rent games.

  • If your game store was near me I buy from you, however all I got is best buy, Walmart, and gamestop.

  • bye bye ea you just dug your own grave

  • @MyWatcher69 not just ea its everyone now

  • My brother just bought bf3,an I can't even play it on my xbox.that was battlefields chance to exchange me from cod to bf, they just fucked it up for themselves. 800 ms point to play basic game modes online..I pay for my virgin Internet, then xbl, now I have to pay 800 ms points to get online....go fuck yourself EA money grabbing faggots

  • I miss funco land :(

On another note, how do they honestly expect us to not buy used games if they only release them new for so long? Passwords have been messed up for years. I remember how many NES games I couldn't complete or content I couldn't use because the pass didn't work and now they want us to not be able to play games because of their errors?

If this trend catches on I am never buying a new game again. Except Aliens: colonial marines. That gets a special pass, lol.

  • if you really believe in this boycott then why dont you really dont sell any EA games anymore? I know why and most others here will too, because EA games provides too many games to you and not selling their games will cut in your profits.

  • @keanucange

I didn't make this video as a business owner, I made it as a Gamer. I didn't want to boycott EA as a company. I want gamers who agree to speak out against Things like Online pass. when I made this video, the Idea of online pass was new and today, just about every developer/publisher has adopted the idea. if we were to boycott companies that use it, we wouldn't be able to play anything at all.

But that doesn't mean we cant speak out against it and not support it.

  • This is accually more of a licenseing issue. You do not technically own the game due to the fact that the license is owned to the original buyer.

Example: It is fine to use emulators (for example GBA) if you bought the license, buying a full game is buying such a license and having a receipt of buying it is proof enough to the authorities to prove that you didnt steal the game (since using emulators is illegal)

  • So what you are really saying is that you are butt hurt that your business is going to be damaged due to the fact that you cant sell used games anymore. Boo fricking hoo hoo.

I posted this somewhere else so let me copy and paste in a new message

  • I wish what you're proposing would actually happen that people would ban together and boycott EA I myself will never rent or own another EA game (i've always disliked their services and found their games subpar anyway) just because they're leeching more money out of the gaming industry. I mean who REALLY buys a 1st person shooter just for the campaign mode? Id say 80-90% of people buy games just for the multiplayer mode. It's extortion to add another 10$ to essentially get that 1/2 of the game.

  • EA have been nothing but capitalistic bastards. Remember the DRM? This is the next stupid step.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go broke because of this shitty move.

  • Hopefully nintendo never takes this route, all of their games 100% complete.

  • @BlazingCrescent thats exactly what i have been telling everybody lol

  • I think this is a fucking disgrace, EA need to buck up their fucking ideas,I payed for the game,I chose their game, I can't play the fucking game....fuck EA I am buying PES this year...and bf3...forget it

  • THEY SHOULD REVERSE THE PASS TO PLAY OFFLINE WITH THE CODE AND ONLINE FREE

  • @Sheenious that happen i will probably give up playing games

  • @flaglerbob You've got it all wrong. EA makes billions off of Madden. They make so much money that they have events where they give it away. EA is just being pure greedy and evil. They are trying to monopolize the market and force people to pay unreasonably. Get your head out the gutter b/c it's people like you that they take advantage of.

  • It's stores like you that ripped off EA and that's why this is happening. Your store buys back pre-owned games for a fraction of the cost then re-sell it for almost the original asking price. You make pure profit and don't give dick back to the publishers of these games.

People who buy used and play online don't give anything to maintain servers or support additional online content.

  • @flaglerbob Those publishers don't deserve a thing if thats the kind of greedy money hungry moves they wanna do, not to mention the obvious fact game publishers make money off the initial sale of their product and have no say in what the purchaser of the orginal content does with their game. If you can name any other industry that double dips into the second hand sales of its product you get a cookie! The maintain servers arguement is just a cloak to hide their greed which is the main motive

  • @flaglerbob You're a moron, bro. Be smart about this and use logic. If a game is bought and payed for new to make it a used game, that means EA has been payed. Because the game is traded privately with EA out the picture that doesn't mean EA didn't get what it deserved for that game. If a gamer sells his game he gives up his space and the purchaser fills it. Your line of thinking means that if I buy a used car I have to pay the manufacturer to use it. How stupid are you?

  • @flaglerbob That makes no sense what so ever. It's like saying Dell can charge you 85$ to connect to the internet because you got your laptop used off ebay. Like saying Xbox or Sony can charge you 34$ which is 17% of the new price you payed for a used or refurbished console "if" you want to play games online. It's extortion plain and simple its false advertising also because on the little label on the back it says online multiplayer. I my self deem that included with the purchase!

  • i love how people with multiple accounts on an xbox have to buy multiple online passes, extra 30 dollars wasted right there with my brothers

  • Pirate these games ppl, if we support ANY of this then it'll be worse down the road.

Arkham City, a game that has nothing to do with EA has an online pass as well, this new greedy-ass plan of getting paying for the game twice is attracting other game companies like flies to shit.

  • The only EA game I've bought in the last 3 or so years has been Mass Effect 2 -and I got it used ;)

  • What EA doesn't consider is that there are still players who don't use online multiplayer - like me. I will buy the used game anyway, the difference is that I won't buy dlcs any more if I just have to pay a fee in order to buy more content. It's ridiculous!

  • MOD your xbox and say FUCK EA download that

  • online services, features, and bonus content...you mean the stuff we already pay for on xbox live and dont want to pay any more for?fuck you,EA

  • EA can sucka fat cock. They banned me for 72 hours on the forums AND games for calling a pervert on the forums a: "sick son of a female dog". FUCK stupid cunts!!!!

  • Im in on dat boycotting wagon just asked ea for my online code for madden 12 which i bought from cl n they deny me im not paying xtra 10 to dem greedy mongers

  • some people think this is a good idea and only buy new game however so if they hate the game store's will not take it as a return and the trade in value would drop is which they all they care about

  • Anyone who thinks that this is a reasonable step of EA. Think of it like that, a four soul family, the "Father" buys a house, now there is one room where only he is allowed, and in order for other family members to enter that room, they have to make a one time payment to the building company. Now try and explain me how that is reasonable enough?!

  • EA can eat my shit. Fucking Fat Cats!!!!

  • @edlikesbrigette

People ask me why I bother. I say "Because it's funny!" LOL

  • @L1Games what about gamefly for people who don't have $60 to buy a new game but to rent it and return them but with this pass it is making it hard to get games without paying $10 i know it dont sound like alot but in this time of crisis were no one has jobs it is hard : (

  • @kinggamer19

I totally agree with you. I rent to see if I like games then in turn buy them. I myself will never rent or own another EA game (i've always disliked their services and found their games subpar anyway *Medal of Honor 2010) just because they're leeching more money out of the gaming industry. I mean who REALLY buys a 1st person shooter just for the campaign mode? Id say 80-90% of people buy games just for the multiplayer mode. It's outright extortion.

  • so what its only 10$. i always buy brand new. but if its worth it then ill pay it

  • @gabebokmaUSMC

it's more than that. if you ever make a new profile, or if anyone in your house wants to play on another profile, that's another $10 each. Plus any DLC you pay for. You already paid $60 for the game! and now starting with RAGE, they're starting to make actual parts of the Story accessible to only those who have an online pass. it's ridiculous.

  • @L1Games that is pure speculation on your part. Do not spread such rot please just to try and let others believe in your point.

  • @gabebokmaUSMC people like you blindly follow devs just because they make games you like can't beleive you support this.

  • @MrAdrianAslani

EA makes dead Space. and other games i like so ya but thats why i always buy then game brand new always comes with the code, once I'm done with both MP and SP then it goes on ebay.

  • i bought a NEW copy of ea mma amd my brand new code doesnt work. I try gettin ahold of ea and i get led to a deadend wall everytime, the 10 dollars bumps this shit up to 70 bucks? lol

  • I din't buy EA titles anymore and I don't miss'em neither...

It's bad enough that developers are making games that are lousy boring and too short.

I feel we already pay too much for games now this is was it, I haven't bought an EA title in a long time and I definitely won't now.

    How we say in NY...

    EA go fu(k your selves.

  • Fuck the gamestop and the used game market. Buy your games brand new you fucking welfare gamers

  • @unknownuser890

Typical comment left by an uninformed and unintelligent casual gamer.

If you had half a brain, you'd leave a comment that at least explains your position on the topic and it would be less rude. But obviously, you have the mental capacity of a 4 year old and can only express yourself like a screaming child.

Your comment is not only pompous, but ignorant.

    Grow up.

  • @L1Games I'm a PC gamer not a consolized dogshit gamer like you. LOL

  • @unknownuser890

ah, the superiority complex arises. I wonder what you're trying to compensate for. Well, Tiny, let me retort.

What you choose to game on is completely irrelevant. doesn't make you or your original comment any less ignorant, infantile, or pathetic. Your only accomplishment here is to prove my last comment right. You simply don't have the mental capacity for intelligent conversation...or apparently, Manners.

    You lose.

  • @L1Games No YOU lose because you're a little bitch crying over the internet. Your business is going to get fucked. And shut the fuck up about the boycott because you know you're going to buy those games anyway like Battlefield 3. And you wanna talk about intelligence? PC gamers are far more intelligent than console dumbasses like you. Factual. Faggot! LOL

  • @unknownuser890

HA! How is my Business going to get fucked? Been in business and making bank since 1999;) I can buy and sell your broke ass.

Speaking of losing. How is life for you? Insecure much? So much that you troll videos and don't make any of your own. LOL I used the word Pathetic before. it's a major understatement.

Factual? Best to look up the definition moron. You speak like an ignorant 10 year old girl and then try to claim intelligence? My original retort stands.

  • @L1Games I speak like a 10 year old girl because I state that PC gamers are far more intelligent than consolized doghit gamers like you. Because I said Fuck the gamestop and the used game market. Buy your games brand new you fucking welfare gamer? LOL according to you I speak like a 10 year old girl because my comments touched a nerve and you're sensitive little bitch crying about online passes when you and everyone else is STILL going to buy them. HAHA hypocrites

  • @unknownuser890 You speak like a child in general because you're ignorant and ill mannered.

Theres nothing hypocritical about what I say, but everything you say is pretty infantile and idiotic. you have no understanding of the industry or how it works. you're so concerned with TRYING to insult me, that you've lost the point entirely. If you cant comprehend the message, If you don't see the point, then you failed before you began. the words you use only show us your ignorance.

  • @L1Games You're going to get fucked and you obviously feel threatened by this online pass or else you wouldn't have ranted about it like a little bitch. Many new games are going down this path and everyone is still going to buy them. Not a damn thing you can do it about but cry about it!

  • @unknownuser890

Your ignorance is apparent. I don't lose money for the online pass. the original buyer of the game does. I make the same profit on a title regardless.

It is a ploy on the part of EA (and others) to hurt used game sales but it hurts the consumer more than the retailer. Thats common sense. (Which you don't have) My sales continue to increase year to year so I'm not hurting. But as a gamer, I hate what it does.

I rant as a Gamer not a business owner. Any fool can see that.

  • @L1Games

and if you were any kind of gamer at all, you would hate it too. because EA is trying to screw you just as much as anyone else. As a high and mighty PC gamer you should understand what registration codes did to the market. PC gaming would be WAY ahead of where it is now if not for the registration codes.

so talk smack like a stupid ass, uninformed, and childish, internet troll.

Do you even see what a moron you are? Like I said, GROW UP. study a little and maybe you'll understand.

  • Lastly, when the day comes that I decide to leave the retail gaming industry, I'll have already invested in my next endeavor. The key is that I get to leave whenever I want. My company, money, and rules. I have the foresight to have already started working on my next project which will be even better than my store.

I've already successfully banked off my own company for 12 years and made more than you'll probably make in your entire life. I'll continue on after retail gaming is gone.

  • @L1Games Yet in your video you state "potentially it could kill every store like mine". Doesn't that mean you feel threatened? LOL shut the fuck up. You don't like what the online pass does? Why? Because you buy your games used? What kind of broke ass business owner buys their game used? LOL Buy it new, and you shouldn't have a problem.

  • @unknownuser890

yep, when I posted that video OVER A YEAR AGO, before Online pass even came out, I was concerned with what it could mean for gaming and retail and now that it's been implemented and we see it on a lot of games, I see it's impact on retail isn't nearly as bad as it is on the consumer.

Broke ass? LOL Like I said, I can buy and sell you. I have single games in my collection that are worth more than 4 brand new titles at $60 each.

  • @L1Games

And Hell yeah I buy my games used whenever I can. whats the point in new? As soon as you open it, it's just like a used title. the reason I have money to spare it because I don't blow it when I don't need to.

But then, I also have the ability to buy games for myself directly from the distributor at wholesale. (I own a store, remember?) So I get my games cheap regardless. My concern is for the gaming community as a whole, not for myself. How are you so stupid that you cant see that?

  • @L1Games I'm a collector. I like my shit BRAND NEW untouched and clean from faggots who rub their balls and touch the game. Used dogshit games are for welfare gamers. You own a store yet you cry about how an online pass will keep you from buying their games used when you only save a measly 5 dollars on a newly released title. Do you really have a to buy a big mac value meal? And you're speaking on behalf of the CONSOLE gaming community. Fuck consolized dogshit.

  • @unknownuser890

You're no collector. If you were a collector you would know that most items worth collecting aren't new.

and if you hate Console gaming so much, whats left to collect? no one collects old PC shit. LOL

As for the rest of your comment. I've already schooled you on all that. you're repeating yourself and when you're saying anything as stupid as that, repeating yourself makes you look really dim witted than you already look...Which before now I wouldn't have thought possible. LOL

  • @L1Games

PS. $5 off a new title is Gamestop prices. Gamestop isn't the only place to shop moron.

and again, IF you were a collector, you'd know that.

you know, I've had much better trolls than this. you're a real disappointment. you don't even know anything about gaming or collecting. maybe you should watch the rest of my videos. you'll definitely learn something.

  • @L1Games LOL you schooled nobody. Fact of the matter is I just trolled the shit out of you and I find it funny how you take my comments so seriously like a sensitive ass faggot HHAHA
