What the hell is the point of having a smart key system if the key needs to be inserted to start the car? Where are the pedal shifters? Fundamentals....fundamentals....
My friend had a XC60, and tried to show me the "city safety" feature and drove it into a tree...lol I absolutely HATE the intelligent key (or whatever it's called).
@tcbecht88 Your friend aparently doesnt know how the system works because city safety is to prevent a crash under 20 mph and to minimize the crash after 20 mph the system is designed to detect CARS not TREES since your not gona find a tree in the middle of the street when driving, then the system was not built to detect trees but just cars , ive tested the system and it honestly works flawlesly , sorry to hear about your friends XC60 lol
@tcbecht88 I guess he must not have known that in the XC60 CitySafety only works on cars.... (-_-) In the S60 however, it works on cars and people and children.
@stevehammes wow the kia optima sx fully loaded has heated driver, passenger, and rear seats and it also has cooled driver and passenger seat. and it is alot cheaper
@neptoon08 you cannot compare a kia optima to a Volvo S60 T6 R-Design , when you drive the Volvo and drive the Kia the answer of why will become obvious , the Kia is a veryy nice car i love the looks of it , but thats just about it , the car is disconected from the road , suspension is soft , and it torque steers like a pig since its FWD and some materials feel very cheap since it is a cheap car so they r two very diff cars in diff leagues.
Guys, you should all go out and test drive the S60 and stop acting like it's comparable to some other cars like a Mustang. That makes NO sense. It's a totally different car with a completely different function. It's not designed that those kinds of drivers. [face_plain]
@takesonetokillall im not talking about the camry i just made a reference there to speed. You can buy a mustang GT for 35 grand which is 10x more fun and exciting than the volvo.
@camaroman101 im not talking about the camry i just made a reference there to speed. You can buy a mustang GT for 35 grand which is 10x more fun and exciting than the volvo.
@DevPack The Mustang is "fun", but as you get older and richer you want more. Like real back seats, cargo capacity, comfort, a quieter ride, better materials inside, and overall refinement.
can somebody tell me what the big deal is with paddle shifters on cars, why do auto reviewers whine when a sports car doesn't have them?

@pear928 It doesn't have to be inserted. It can be, however. The non-smartkey version has to be inserted.

Wow this is faster than a TL, G37, and a 335....im actually pretty impressed, Volvo needed to do something right to get back into the segment.

@maseratiquattroport "owned by" is nothing like "made by". Besides, the design was done before they sold the company.

not worth 46 grand. There are better options for that price limit. A Toyota Camry v6 can hit 60 in 5.5 secs.
