Ya I know so you will hear when they are coming through Elvas (usually) and I think 161.550 will cover south of there and the Sac sub but I'm not sure.
@shadowknight227 Different areas can use the same frequencies, a good example is 160.875, it is the Sac Dispatcher 57, and it is also the Santa Barbara Area of the Coastline, 161.100 is CSX in Folkston, GA, and it is also the western end of the BNSF Forsyth Sub in Montana
did you see what speed the Union Pacific was going?

What is the Fresno Sub frequency between Polk and Bakersfield????
trainboy94 2 years ago
I'm exactly sure. I think if you turn 160.875 and 161.550 on you will be covered throughout Sacramento.
Amtrakdavis22 2 years ago
160.875 is only from Elvas to Polk

Sac Sub is 160.515
trainboy94 2 years ago
O ok then 161.500 is probably the Fresno. It says on railroadradio that the greater Sacramento is 160.875.
Amtrakdavis22 2 years ago
Wait you sure it is? I got the detector north of Elkhorn with 161.550.
Amtrakdavis22 2 years ago
160.515 also picks up the dectector, I used it during the detours and it picked it up
trainboy94 2 years ago
Alright I'll try that.
Amtrakdavis22 2 years ago
@trainboy94 That's odd. The San Antonio radio frequency is 160.515

Ya that really sucks!
Amtrakdavis22 2 years ago
Nice catch it's too bad that 1996 wasn't the leading unit, but as long as you caught it, it really doesn't matter.
UPHeritage 2 years ago 2
Ya. I was really hoping it was leading but at least I caught it. This was the first time. Only 1982 and 1989 to go!
