4) The branches of the renal artery and vein enter the kidney at the hilum. The renal pelvis which we will see shortly emerges from the hilum behind the blood vessels. It narrows to become the urethra which takes urine to the bladder.
To see the hilum in detail in this isolated kidney we will remove tha fat from around the hilum. At the hilum the surface of the kidney is rolled in ward creating a deep oval pocket- the renal sinus.
3) To see the renal arteries we must take the veins out of the picture.
In this specimen the aorta and common iliac arteries are quite tortuous.
The renal areteries arise just below the superior mesenteric artery. Renal arteries pass quite sharply to reach the kidneys which lie on each side of the great midline prominence formed by the vertebral bodies.
2 )The kidneys are surrounded by a layer of ft which we'll remove.
Her are the kidneys, here is the aorta emerging between the cruz of the diaphragm.
Here is the Vena Cava, quite distended in this specimen. We will look first at the blood vessels of the kidneys:The Renal Vessels, veins lie in frnt of arteries.
The left renal vein crosses in front of the aorta, just below the origen of la mesenterica superior. Right renal which is much shorter passes steeply backwards to reach the right kidney,
El vídeo es excelente, para los que entendemos inglés, seria muy bueno que lo subtitularan para que fuera de utilidad para todas las personas que lo consultan.

Kidney Ureters Bladder and Uretra.
Start by looking at kidneys and cos they are nearby .. suprarenal glands
Location
High in post abd wall behind peritoneum. Lie in front of 11th and 12th ribs. The right kidney is slightly lower than the left.
To see the Kid and ureteres, we will look at a dissection in which all the intra abdominal organs have been removed.
Kidneys are here. As we have done in other dissections, we will remove the lower anterior ribs to get a better view.
