the worst media player I ever had!! it's very choosy on formats even if it say it supports, it don't. really slow on browsing large media library. the sound quality is awful. I downloaded a movie and for 3 hours i'm trying to convert it to a format that can eat the p7. its program, iriver plus 4 is again a chinese crap, ugly interface, lots of bugs and lost of headaches, grrrr.

this device is a true premium media player.

No ipod or zune can have the awesome sound quality as this has. I believe it also has amoled screen.

But it is not meant for apps and other stuff.

@yoshinosakura Exactly, Personal music players to me are just that, personal music players. Apps on an Mp3 player seem like a gimmick to me. Thing I've always loved about iRivers is that they play a much larger audio format than any iPod, high bitrates make for almost CD quality sounds.

I dont know ,I was looking for a replacement for my Zen Vision W ,I need more space but nothing matches it and one thing thats always irks me when I watch videos on it ,is fingerprints on the screen and I dont see this touchscreen as a good solution

that was you, i like my ipod touch. Frankly the iriver is a copy of th eipod touch simply by the name itself "Iriver". Why were you dissapointed with your ipod? what ipod was it? I think the only thing you can compare the ipod touch to is a psp. They both share similar applications and can be hacked, however the ipod still crushes it in the way its able to be customized. Just the fact that you can jailbreak an ipod or iphone makes it worth buying.

Your comment just proved how un-techie you are. First, iRiver gained popularity in its home country before iPod became popular in US. Second, iRiver dominates iPod in sound quality. Most people say that it's really the ear-phones that matter. That's what I also thought. But having used both devices, using better mp3 devices make significant differences. Not only that. It can also take much much more music formats

the ipod touch can play any video format if you jailbreak it with coreplayer. So no the ipod touch isnt limited in terms of videoplayback. Trust me dude, the ipod touch is worth it, dont hate it just because its made by apple.

they are because of the demand. Iriver is good but it doesnt even have internet or wifi, also you cant jailbreak an iriver nor convert it into a phone like the ipod touch. Trust me man the ipod touch is a good buy considering what can be done with it. Also it is very durable and u get what you paid for.

Q: why the hell the word Calendar in the menu is spelled with "E". Also how is this player "stand out" from the other ones. I mean Creative just plan ripped off iTouch in their latest model, but probably without all that pesky app support. If I need music on the go I use Sansa Clip and the new Clip + had microSDHC slot for more memory. As for media (AND gaming) on the go, Ill stick with my PSP-3000, thank you very much. This system better be cheap as hell to be able to compete.
