my dad, who used to skate when he was younger had a christian hosoi board that was the same as Christian used when he did airs. My dad gave it away to my uncle and when he was a teen and they couldnt find it again.

i found it in my uncles shed under a shitload of stuff still in good condition, Christian hosois board man that shit would be worth so much :D

@gogyyy The easiest way to explain that is Hosoi didn't "scoop his board" up at the end of the ramp like Hawk eventually revolutionized, instead Hosoi relied on intense pumping up AND down the ramp and sort of halfass ollied which requires a lot more effort, but results in MUCH higher aerials. It makes sense when you do it, but it's hard to explain.

Thats the standard shape for boards circa 1987/88 when this footage was taken. There are no long boards in the video. Christ Air is the 2nd trick....Funny history, Even though his name is Christian, the trick is named after the cross position-no feet on board , arms fully extended-AND Christian didnt become a Christian until he was in prison for drug charges...
