  • i disagree with the politics and the less lightsaber fights, the political side of the story explains the rise of the empire, whilst the lightsaber battles are what makes star wars

  • @dalektaliba Like anything that is cool, if it's used too much, it becomes boring. I agree with less lightsaber fights.

  • you forgot "NO DUMB KIDS"

  • I liked both but the 3 main problems are:

    WAY TO MANY LOVE SCENES

    WAY TO MANY POLITICS

    DARTH MAUL NEEDED MORE TIME.

  • hopefully, 80 years from now when these films will be remade, they'll actually do them right :|

  • @TemplarThe2nd We would probably be dead by then.

  • Hey does any one remember a youtube video that was like a fan documentary about light sabers and their waste use in PT? I remember a man speaking that when Luke's light saber was out, "it meant business". I don't remember the name of the video and can't find it... If you find it, can you e-mail me? lilyskywalkr@gmail.com

  • @LilySkywalkr It was red letter media's review of the prequels. The one part you are talking about happened in the 7'th part of his attack of the clones review.

  • How to make the SW prequels more watchable? LOL, get a different director.

  • I really like your ideas. They are intriguing. So are you up to the task of re-editing? I have seen some awesome re-edits out on the web. I would like to see what your re-vision offers.

  • The love story is the basis of Anikan's fall to the dark side though. I agree that it could have been done a little better, but it's crucial to the storyline.

  • So basically no prequals at all.

  • 1:19- it's because Yoda is a jedi master. and jedi carry lightsabers. didn't you listen anakin's line in the dinner scene in TPM.

  • 0:22 virgin birth was used in greek, roman, egyptian, and asian mythologies.

0:26-just because the midichlorians allow you to use the force doesn't mean the force is in your bloodstream

0:31-it's because he can build droids and fix things. did you see other slaves build and fix things like anakin.

0:49-it focuses how the republic becomes an empire.

1:05- DO YOU HATE DARTH MAUL?! I thought he was cool!

1:22-these scenes show how the jedi can fight better than in the original trilogy

  • I personally didnt mind the prequals. I did hate Jar Jar though, kid Anakin was an annoying little fuck, but what did you expect a nine year old to be? I thought the love story between Padme and Anakin was a little stupid but I still loved Padmes character though. Ya now what, fuck it, kill off Anakin, all hail Darth Vader! (Padme) XD

  • and i bet over 95% of the haters of the prequels have never studied film, i would love to see some of you haters make a better series of films than star wars, face up to it you will never

  • George Lucas disliked this 91 times.

  • You can just watch them in Spanish, they sound pretty cool in Spanish. Either that or just don't acknowledge them at all and stick with the original trilogy as the only Star Wars trilogy.

  • I agree with everything here but the actual lightsaber fights. The fights were pretty badass, and I believe that the duel with Darth Maul was one of the saving graces of Episode 1.

  • @GeorgeLRockwell87 That fight was awesome but there were a lot of other times the lightsabers were out that they didn't need to be, Obi-Wan got through the whole Death Star through stealth alone in A New Hope and only pulled out his lightsaber twice in that film. In Empire, besides training with Yoda, Luke only uses his lightsaber to cut off the Wampa's arm and fight Darth Vader and in Return of the Jedi he only uses it three times and takes on a Rancor without it.

  • BEER.

that's the only way to watch these films. Lots and lots of beer...and vodka.

  • I'm sick of this nerdy fan boy nitpicky shit. ANY of these story elements could have been handled well in the hands of a skilled writer. These stories are flawed to their very cores because they are broken, poorly executed stories. Midichlorians? Sure that undermines the mystical aspect of the force. but hey, in the hands of a skilled writer, I could be sold on it. It could maybe expand and deepen the way the force works if it was actually a developed and crafted plot thread.SUCH bad films

  • Less lightsaber fights !!! are you F-ing kidding me....The only thing I really aggree with is merging Episode 1 with Episode 2 to make a mega Episode 1 but say 2 & 1/2 hours long but one big difference is Anakin is 20yo through out....so then Episode 2 is actually all about the Clone Wars & Episode 3 reamains intact although has some minor tweeks.....

  • "patience" When a mutherf*cking red-tattooed sith monster attacks you with a lightsaber?

  • Less lightsaber fights?! ALL were AWESOME

  • What's wrong with Anakin building C-3PO? Yes, there are many things wrong with the prequels (gungans, midichlorians, bad dialogue, unrealistic CGI, etc)...but why is Anakin building C-3PO such a big deal?

  • Comment removed

  • @kc86er The problem with it is that Anakin supposedly builds C-3PO from scratch and yet there are other droids that look exactly like 3PO. Also (I know I'm copying RedLetterMedia on this) protocal droids are for etiquette and protocal, not "helping mom around the house." Also, it just seems like a desperate attempt to place a familiar character in the movie, kinda like what they did with Chewbacca in Revenge of the Sith.

  • I actually might make a video involving how I feel the prequels should've progressed. It will get rid of some characters, add on a couple of new ones in their place, and drastically reduce the amount of use of lightsaber action. It will focus more on Anakin, make him older from the beginning (more like 14-15 instead of 9), and will have more of a grip of what's going on around him.

  • Gungans can be like background filler, but nothing significant to the story.

  • You know they make a magic potion that erases all memory of watching the Phantom Menace....it's called BLEACH!!!!

  • all right guys ive been keeping on the comments and i have to ask...................... if u bought the rights to make a new starwars movie would u A) restart the from the beginning (chornologically) or B) make a new starwars movie from scratch plz share ur ideal ideas

  • @loominizer31 I'd make it a new one, which focused less on Jedi Knights and so forth, and centred around an ordinary guy, like a Bounty Hunter or Republic Trooper or something, (fuck I don't know) and their life up to that point

  • @DrmrGuy1979 Why legos? Why not just the action figures???

  • Good points. What utter wreaks those movies were. Are.Special effects; clashed with real objects. Acting; overly micromanaged. Actor chemistry; painful. Plot; contrived. Dialogue; wooden awkward. Story consistency; ignored. Cinematography; stale and lifeless, George you aint no Kubrick. And now what he has done to the original trilogy. It's like if Coppola would go back to the godfather 2 and add a CG Tom Hagen death scene or something. Midi fckin chlorians!? The man has no clue. Citizen Lucas.

  • all you need to do is put TPM on mute and pretend Liam Neeson is saying things that make sense.

  • @DrSacapuntas but then the music is gone...

  • smoke a shitload of weed. that makes it more than bareable

  • How about prequels were a bad idea to begin with and make fucking sequels or leave the three classic films alone and don't make any more movies and just die you fat-necked bearded old fuck.

  • there are a lot more light saber seens in the prequels because the jedi are in full order no? vs the originals where they are nearly an extinct race. just a thought.

  • There

  • Padmé = Eve is such a bad idea. Thumbs down!!

  • While I agree that the prequels weren't fantastic... I disagree with most of the flack here. And besides, (at least early versions of) A New Hope was cut terribly. It just makes my skin crawl looking at some scenes and transitions.

  • You forgot to mention:

    - A kid that can actually act

    - A lot less "weeeeeeee!!"'s

    - A young Anakin that actually looks and lives like a slave

    - Shoot on real film stock, not that flat looking digital crap

    - CGI that's good, or at the very least don't mix people wearing obvious alien suits with CGI. It looks ridiculous.

    - Pod race scene 1/5 as long

    - Don't ever, ever use the word "younglings" It's like calling baby ducks "ducklinglings"

    - Ditch Amidalla. Anakin falls in love with someone else.

  • EVERYONE WHO HATES THE PREQUELS GO DIE IN A FUCKING FIRE YOU ARE NOT FANS AND HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL YOURSELF SO! You are what is keeping George Lucas from making 3 more sequels to the original!

  • The only real reason a time machine needs to be made is to stop the Star Wars prequels. Or go back and make them less terrible somehow. Great travesties of the last 20 years: 9/11, Star Wars Prequels, perhaps if the prequels had been good the Middle Easterners (who love Star Wars as everyone knows) would not have been so angry.

  • @qwiklerner How dare you compare 9/11 to The Star Wars Prequels...

  • @lordvoldemort578 Eat a bag of dicks.

  • @qwiklerner =0 I really hope you don't blow your father with that mouth...

  • Above anything else, the Midicholorians need to go. The Force is supposed to be beyond form , something mystical that is everywhere, animates and creates everything and yet remains untouchable save for those with the will to understand it. It is meta-physical and transcendent, more spiritual than physical. Yet Lucas turns into a DBZ-esque power level measure. I was half-expecting Obi Wan to crush the computer screaming, "It's over 9000!".

  • @graph180

correction: just because the midichlorians allow you to use the force, doesn't mean the force is in your bloodstream.

  • @tmMcHugh

But it tethers the force to physical forms and the limitations therein, contradicting one of the keystone moments of the films (the "For my ally is the Force" speech Yoda gives in 'The Empire Strikes Back'). The fact that the power to feel and use the Force is bound to the Midichlorians ruins the idea of trancendence that the Force stands for: the idea that size, strength, and constitution are meaningless to one who is able rise above such limitations.

  • @graph180

it is because there are two aspects of the force. the midichlorians are in the practical and physical part of the force, and not in the spiritual part of the force.

  • @tmMcHugh

But isnt the Force to be something BEYOND physical? What about the whole "luminous beings are we. Not this crude matter" ?

  • @graph180

in return of the jedi, Yoda tells luke that the force runs strong in his family and Luke tells leia that she is force sensitive. Qui gon didn't explain the force scientifically, he was saying about a conduit through while the force acts.

  • they need to reboot the prequels. or at least just discontinue production of the prequels and burn them in one huge bon fire.

  • Too bad this video wasn't made in 1998. We could have stopped the whole mess.

  • I wish they would have replaced Jar Jar with another alien character. Someone cooler looking but witty and snarky. Like a Asoka but more mature. That whole midiclorian thing just completely ruin the mystique and feel of the force. They need to retcon it out of exsistance.

  • george lucas should have never even contemplated showing these prequals, what he should have done was start a whole new triliogy with a cast of new jedi and new aliens and a new storyline involving the rise of a dark jedi order building a doomsday weapon. that would have been a lot better.

  • What the hell!!!!!! This is complete bull@#!%!! How cud they possibly think of cuttin out most of the storyline for the new trilogy??? They even took out the lightsaber fights!! It's not evn star wars anymore. Every aspect of the new series was, in my opinion, executed perfectly. Don't get confused. I'm not tryin to diss the original trilogy bcuz it awesome too. In fact, i love all of the movies. I cant even pick a favorite bcuz all of them hav a different mood setting.

  • @darthspuds254 The romantic scenes in Clones contained some of the worst dialogue commited to film. How one could claim that it was perfectly executed is beyond me.

  • @madouc575 Hey man, obviously you must like sand, especially when it gets everywhere.

  • RLM said it best, the story of Darth Vader didn't really need to be told, just mentioned in a few lines. In fact now that I think about it, the story of the prequels was told and summed up perfectly by Obi-Wan in episode 4 without having to sit through six hours of painfully boring crap.

  • I agree with you on everything except one. Your idea on how to explain Anakin's decent into the dark side. Too much to post, email me and i'll explain. LOL

  • this didnt help, I still cant watch them

  • Um, you seem to get what I consider the most important one: come up with a better reason for Anakin pissing away a lifetime of Jedi training and loyalty to father-like figue Obi wan than A FUCKING NIGHTMARE. Got that was so stupid and nonsensical. Yea, dreams tend to always come true, so convert to the dark side after I kill a jedi which you got pissed at him for almost doing to me, because your nightmare could come true. Makes perfect sense, right?

  • @zzyzx0788 Actually, yes, dreams always come true in Star Wars. The Holy Grail of prequels bashing, RedLetter Media, even admitted that. Saying that it was just a dream and Anakin should've never taken it seriously, is probably one of the dumbest complaints about this film (and one of the few dumb ones, as most are entirely justified).

  • @twooffour By far thats the least of my complaints, its my biggest. I could go on and on, the acting sucked, and mostly because the script sucked, which sucked because no one had the balls to stand up to Lucas like they did in the original. The plot was nonsensical, the CGI was beyond overthetop and worse of all the characters have no actual character and are completely one dimensional and boring. Thats why the prequels suck. Theyre moderately enjoyable, but nowhere as good as the first trilogy

  • Darth Maul should not have been killed, and should've been killed by Darth Vader in the last episode. Darth Maul was way more menacing then Grievous and Dooku (stupid name) together.

Jar Jar Binks should not have been made into a complete idiot racist stereotype clown, but into a smart, a bit naive, but competent comic relief.

Lucas should NOT have been directing it. He is a good writer and a good setting placer, NOT a good director.

  • Comment removed

  • @DoggySpew None of the villains in the films (other than Darth Vader of course) had no real menace to them at all. We never see any of them do anything even remotely evil (except try to kill the heroes but, if you watch the films closely, the heroes almost always strike first, so the "bad guys" are really just defending themselves). How about some bad guys whose moivations are clear, consistant and evil! ("I want them alive. NO disintegrations.")

  • @theoneandonlygrod

Darth Maul strikes first. Sidious constantly "strikes first". Dooku strikes first (unless you count sneaking into a droid factory "striking").

  • @twooffour Anakin attacks Dooku first in both meetings, Yoda strikes first against Dooku, Obi-Wan attacks Grevious first, Samuel L. Jackson draws his lightsaber and threatens Palpatine before they were even sure he was a Sith Lord and then, after they are sure, attempts to murder him, etc. Come to think of it, even the good guys in these movies weren't consistant!

  • @theoneandonlygrod

Luke attacks Vader in ESB. The rebels attack the Death Star in ANH. Do so again in ROTS. Luke personally comes to the Emperor, and attempts to attack him. Luke then finally defeats Vader by attacking him again. He also attempts to attack Jabba after Jabba doesn't agree with him in the palace.

    :D

If you're going to judge about the "goodness of characters" based solely on who strikes first in a given battle ripped out of its context, you're not going to come very far.

  • @twooffour "A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack." " -Yoda.

But, I suppose I take your point. I am getting a little too hung-up on this concept. The point I was trying to make is that neither the hero nor villain characters in the preqels ever give us any real reason to like or dislike them. All they really do is talk and fight. If you don't know who you're rooting for or why, than you don't care and you find yourself disconnected from the film.

  • What music is this?

  • you could still have the gungans, but sort of have them as second class citizens, and the naboo are rasists to them, similar to district 9 without the slums

  • good ideas and what many have kicked around before. Don't agree with the Eve-Padme thing unless it were to tempt him to lead a normal life of kids and family.

I'd also cut out the part of the Jedi being a weird sexless cult that starts their training at birth.

I'd also have the clones the bad guys that the Republic has to take out hence the name "the Clone Wars"

  • I believe Anakin's story should have been made to mirror Benedict Arnold's fall.

  • @merrimac291 Rather than making him Space-Jesus? Yeah, I guess I would go with your idea too.

  • I liked all the prequels very much.

  • You left out- Time Travel back to the early 90s and remove George Lucas from the picture. Then maybe we'd get a sensible story arc.

  • the prequels were great why do people hate them?

  • @AHappyPumkin They suck. That's why. Why wonder? To get more analytical on you I'll give a brief explanation. The first films had George Lucas using special effects to tell stories. The prequels used stories to show special effects. It's a little more complicated than that but that's the basic reason for why people hate them. Similar to the hatred of the AVP movies.

  • @AHappyPumkin 2 main reasons: 1) they don't fit with the storyline, style, or tone of the Original Trilogy and 2) the plots don't make much sense and mostly boring and the characters are boring and for the most part unrelatable.

  • @RoninDave 3) The "action" is dull and unexciting and often confusing (Battle over Coruscant). 4) No clear villains through the first two films and the heroes are completely clueless to their actions and intentions. 5) Over-use of Computer Generated Images takes away from any hint of an actual story. We could go on and on about this. Oh, and 6) Jar Jar fuckin' Binks!

  • Where's this music from?

  • I agree with about 1 thing in the video

  • Nice job completely ripping off criticisms from RedLetterMedia.

  • @Archaic89 You need to READ the INFO the user said "Inspired by Red Letter Media's Star Wars reviews"

  • @Archaic89 nah. its borrowing. i mean im pretty sure that we all saw the faulst from far. allso virgin birth was just so typical of allmos any mythology. it allso distances us from anakin bechsoe he is this "super" child that is every way "better" then anyone else. anakin shuld have being orphon that had to live criminal life of staling ships to life him self, that whuld explane his skills in flying ships. it wuld allso tell that he had to life tough. allso he whuld have to have a brother.

  • @Archaic89 Why, WHY on Earth would ANYONE need to rip that off from RedLetterMedia?

'Fraid we have a new crowd of fanbois here.

  • @Archaic89

poor comment, simply because the criticisms from plinkett were kind of universally felt.

I know that I was thinking there was immense amount of role reveral in episode II, plinkett said it and i was like "yeah, exactly!"

  • @Archaic89 Ripping off ideas? These ideas, though apparently hidden to you until watching RLM's reviews, were obvious to everyone else critical of the prequels.

  • wow it's sad how much you don't understand. everything you mentioned is what makes the prequels great.

  • what?!??!? lightsaber fights are the best fuck u man and yoda fighting why dont u want him fighting yoda was still healthy and able to kick ass ur just a sour 40 year old virgin that doesnt like change

  • @cjammproduction 1) Lightsaber duels are less about two guys swinging glowsticks at each other and more about the internalization of the characters. There is only one lightsaber fight in each of the three original films and in all three, there is far more going on than just two people fighting with swords. In the prequels, other than the final battle in Ep. III, there is nothing going on at all. It's just mindless, over-choreographed, over-the-top, over-used shlock.

  • @cjammproduction 2) Because Yoda's character should be above that sort of thing. The whole point of making Yoda a little green midget was to show that the Force was something beyond the physical. It was a clever and original concept that was totally ruined in the prequels by showing Yoda pull out a tiny lightsaber and start jumping, flipping and flying all over the room before going straight back to hobbling on a cane. Change is only good if it's done by people who know what they're doing.

  • don't just suggest it, recut it! lots of people tried it already...

  • What's the music on this video???

  • This is all the opinion of who?

The guy who made this video obviously has no imagination and doesnt understand the complex story lines of star wars.

There is NOTHING wrong with the prequals, if somebody doesnt like them then thats fine but that doesnt mean they suck.

Nobody is complaining about todays sci fis movies like avater and 2012 or shit like harry potter, all which suck really bad and you guys are bitching about star wars...

  • It would have been awesome, if their would be a Sith Cult or something. Like, Darth Maul, Count dooku,NOT General grievous, and Darth sidious.

Darth Maul would be the silent, dangerous member,

Dooku, the arrogant, self convinced member.

And Sidious would be their master.

Not the stupid separists guys who are idiots, and not real vilians.

It would have give the Sith, much more dept, of who they actually are.

And anakin would join them, kill them all, along with the jedi,

    by Sidious orders.

  • @ivkoacount That is seriously retarded, there can only be 2 sith, Yoda said that already.

And the seperatists ARENT suppose to be villains you dumbass.

your comment says "i dont know star wars"

  • I actually know pretty much about Star Wars,

i do know there can only be a master and a aprentice, because there can only be 2 Siths at the time, because of the Sith lore forbids it.

It was only a funny idea, no...not even idea, just a short imagination, wich had nothing to do with the REAL Prequels...

Btw. May i ask how old you are? you sounded pretty much like a 9 year old boy who is new at youtube...

why are all those insults nececarry in your comment, only to make it look big??...

  • @ivkoacount no i was just expressing my anger in response to your ignorant comment. Are you to Dumb to figure that out? maybe YOU are the 9 year old ....not like its a bad thing

  • @nintwiggy6491 but i dont get the reason for you anger, i dont get it why you call me dumb when i havent done YOU any harm. but please... if you cant behave like a grown up man ( or woman ), and just keep insulting me, for things like that. then please, oh please man... stop stop talking to me again. Just dont response on this comment... just leave it alone, let your anger rest, calm down, look at what you wrote, and how rude it was. Or else... just stop talking to me, right now!

  • @ivkoacount Ok what was the point of that comment?

i arleady said what i said in the previous one....

  • @nintwiggy6491 Dude really, you're still being a fucking jerk for no apparent fucking reason.

I'm not really sure why you're even trying to make me that angry,

Siriously if you're tring to start a fight online, you've apparently got some major child-problems, for having a need for a negative atention! Reply to me on this vid again, and I'll know you're just doing it for some attention-seeking.

    See ya round Asshole!!

  • @ivkoacount Dude youre being a hypocrite and everything youre saying IM doing is what YOU are doing.

    Read the comments V V V

  • What?!? Am i a hypocrite now?

i am sorry.. but was i the one whos been insulting you at first?

Was i trying to be a big jerk for nothing since the beginning of our discussion?

Was i the one.. who clearly coudnt make a point, without making rude insults every comment again, just to show how big i am?

    Did i call you ..Retarded..dumbass..ignorant.. or dumb...or a hypocrite?

No.. but I said many times i was done with YOU,but you just had to be the asshole with the last word.

    Please show me it!

  • @ivkoacount Im just gonna stop, youre taking this way to seriusly. i dont even want to read ur long comment that i hope makes you feel better about yourself.

  • @nintwiggy6491 whatever man, hope you drown yourself in your own sink!

  • don't kill off darth maul after one episode... maul should have hanged around until episode iii where anakin kills him to take over his role as palpatine's sidekick

  • I agree with a lot of this. I liked how you think Maul, Dooku and Grievous were wasted. Maul was sort of a dime-a-dozen sith apprentice, but both Dooku and Grievous were characters I would really like to see more of on screen. Now.. I have whatched a lot of Clone Wars, so I know Grievous, but even then. He should have been introduced in the second film and used more in the third. Dookus end in ep. 3 was pathetic.

  • One more thing, by expanding Darth Maul into the great villain he could have been you can also use him for exposition about this Sith. The explanation of the Sith was so poor in these three movies that by Revenge of the Sith you couldn't have known who the Sith are or why they want revenge.

'We have fought the Jedi for 5,000 years, we have ruled mighty empires, we have been defeated but we have always returned, we are free, only the strongest can become a Sith.' etc

  • @mst3k4evur opens up the possiblity of doing an episode 0/prologue film to show why the sith want revenge

  • @AdrianHoliday

I'm actually going to upload a video explaining that whole backstory in the next few days. It's a long story and actually a lot more interesting and logical than anything Lucas put into the prequels.

  • @AdrianHoliday

It's up now if you want the answers.

  • Better yet, combine the main villains and have all three roles in the conspiracy played by Darth Maul. Have him as Sideous's apprentice, the leader of the Separatist fleet and maybe Dooku as the evil political leader of the movement. That would give both time to grow in threat and character and Maul would finally be fleshed out to the fullest. In the Phantom Menace, we only got one line of dialogue from him and some evil-sounding music. Grievous is best forgotten.

  • For Yoda: No lightsaber. He should have used the force like a palm-shield and fought by deflecting the lasers and lightsabers with his hands. Make him a more... asian fighter than just another swordsman.

  • @xaayer

I'd make Yoda somewhat like Charles Xavier.

  • @civilwarfare101 yeah, but that would kinda limit his fighting... Maybe he would move on that pod thing he had for a hot minute, but fight like a kung fu master

  • @xaayer

Yoda's ultimate weapon would be his knowledge of the force. That was never showen in the prequels. In fact a good way to show off his knowledge of the force would the arena scence.

  • @xaayer

Oh and i would have the guy who voice acted Starkiller in the TFU games to play Anakin. That guy is full of personality unlike Hayden.

  • or even better, dump them all and start again....

  • i always thought as a kid yoda would use the force to control a lightsaber, if he had to use one at all. totally bummed out with the prequels!

  • Oke Padme an eve figure is awfull, it` Anakin`s fall and her wanting to believe he can come bch just as Luke was great. Also Anaki needs to be inocent not just a fun kid, he needs to have emotional troubles which made him fall, not just questionable methods. The love story was awesome and in I and II happened more than in IV or V. Ok they tak e out theur Lighsabers as copd tke out guns, to be causious. Also they do use the Force, and the Lightsaber fights are awesome.

  • @reviewreviewer1 O and Yoda has the Force so he can ight witha Lightsaber and C3PO and the Gungans were awesome.

  • @reviewreviewer1 ...I didn't understand a word of that gibberish. No lie.

  • Damn, I thought this was going to be a Star Wars prequels drinking game....

  • An improvement would be

-Keep Darth Maul for 3 episodes and give him more dialog, one villain always works better, like in the original star wars.

-Make young obi wan kenobi a ambitious, brave and likable jedi

-Build a rivarly between Darth Maul and the jedi between the 3 films, it makes the fight more intense, for eg. you could want obi wan to get revenge on him for killing qui gon, and you could really make him a villain by like him killing anakins mom, and like Anakin also has a rivalry

  • @kellybob94

Last time I checked there was more then one villian in the original movies. You had Vadar,Sidious,Boba Fett and Jaba the Hutt. I think General Grevious, Count Dooku and Darth Mual should've been introduced in the phantom meance. You know have 3 bad guys and start a rivialry with the remainders of the sith and the jedi council. Put in less jedi there were way too many.

  • @civilwarfare101 Vader and Sidious were the main villains. Boba Fett was just a hurdle (albeit a cool one) and Jabba was a way of putting in another... mini threat. Like a side mission in a game. Harrison Ford actually wanted Han Solo to stay dead but Fans revived him (no-lie). I think Dooku was worthless and GG was a cop out. The only cool Sith in the Prequels was Maul.

  • @xaayer

I'm very aware the Vader and Sidious were the main villians but kelly said that the OT had one villian he didn't say major villian. I wouldn't say Jabba is a side mission because side missions can be ignored but then again Luke and the gang had a choice to save Han so i agree and disagree. Come to think of it Dooku should've never have been a chracter. Maul should've died in episode 3. The CGI annoyed the living hell out of me especially when compared to the OT.

  • Lucas should be forced to watch this video, redlettermedia's reviews and counfused Mathew's reviews. Maybe then he will realized the error of his ways.

  • Great vid!

  • you should've directed the movie :(((((( it's too late now.

  • I agree with this video.

  • Less lightsaber fights.

    More lightsaber DUELS.

    You know there's a difference.

  • LOL Awesome job. redlettermedia is spectacular... as he says: "The worst part about it all is... they'll never go away." It's a shame they had to go and ruin such an amazing saga with their "maximize-profits-with-minimal-concern-for-artistic-integrity" routine.

  • I agree with everything except the evil Padme. Anakins wife should have been more in on the action, a true badass like Leia. They could both be protagonists so that in Episode 3 when Anakin turns evil we still have her to relate to. Anakin should turn to evil at the climax of Episode 2 when he fights a Sith and gives in to murder and revenge because the guy tried to kill his wife or Obi Wan or something. And the clone wars is already going on in episode 1. whew!

  • you pretty much just listed everything in the movies.

  • GodoftheForge, Amen brother, amen...

  • Also you forgot combine Obiwan Kenobi and Quigong into a new character called Obiwan Kenobi. Wasn't it even stated in the originals that Yoda was Obiwan's teacher?

  • Personally, I'm not sure if Grievous should have even existed. He's a sith poser wielding light sabres, and I don't think Lucas wanted him to have force powers. Now if Lucas did I'd be all for him as a character.

I wouldn't have minded, maybe even liked, JarJar had they toned him down... ALOT, and actually made him competent but unfortunately unlucky bumbling warrior whom is still lovable and wants to prove himself. Perhaps similar to how Naruto starts out in Naruto or Ussop in One Piece.

  • Nothing wrong with any of your suggestions, but I think I have an equally valid option. Before you watch each one, have someone kick you in the family jewels as hard as they can. That way the pain of these movies seem somehow less by comparison.

  • @Donhinton I think you have that backwards. If someone kicks you in the family jewels, put on these movies and the pain is somehow diminished by comparison.

  • EXACTLY! I've said pretty much all of this a ton of times. THat would have been perfect.

  • This info I can totally vouche for as being 100% true, but the sad and unfortunate truth to it all is that there is nothing we can do about these movies. The most horrible movies ever created can never be undone.

  • @abalrog42 lest they be destroyed, remade, and never spoken of again

  • LMFAO great
