  • Glad hes not working on my car! Did'nt use anti-sieze and the car he's doing is an aluminum head. Anti-sieze is a must on aluminum heads. Also he should of stated most cars ten yrs old and up use platinum or Iridium plugs and have an extremely small electrode tip and you dont use the gap tool he has because it will damage the small electrode. You only bend the ground electrode {bottom tang} and should use small pliers to open or close its gap. If the center electrode gets damaged the plugs done!

  • @SUPERBWON Antisieze is not an electrical conductor. Antisieve on plug threads can make an engine miss due to a bad ground. Check it with an ohmmeter...learned this lesson the hard way and it will create a miss!

  • Thank you

  • sounds like hes calling bingo numbers

  • nice hair cut

  • 1 Spark plug ah ah ah! 2 Spark plugs ah ah ah! 3 Spark plugs ah ah ah! 4 Spark plugs ah ah ah!

  • i just saw a video saying u should blow air into the spark plug hole before removing it cos debris might get into the cumbastion chamber and this guy just said dont ever use an air tool on a spark plug lol so confused i unno

  • @49sharewood yea an air tool like an air gun to tighten the spark plug, not a literal BLOWING air tool lol

  • Hi I want to check the sparks plugs, they are almost new but the mechanic said if the performance doesn´t get better probably the problem is in one ignition coil, does anybody know if I see some spark plugs dirty I can say there will be a problem with its ignition coil? they have changed only one month ago, please if you know make a comment

  • @newhere0 You need to post year, make, and model when asking questions like this.

  • I vant to suck your blud... I'm also a mechanic ;)

  • this guy talks like he is getting anal in the background

  • Will your car run ok if you put new sparkplugs in your car without setting the gap

  • @LaurenN476 they will eventually get ungappped in the engine on their own. not gapping them will still work but there may be some sputtering and clanking in the engine.

  • @LaurenN476 Installing plugs without gapping them is idiotic. i will leave it at that.

  • If a spark plug is covered with build up, can it stop the plug from firing? if so, does that mean that the cylinder is running and not burning therefore flooding with gas? whats a engine sound like with a bad spark plug?

My gas weed cutter sounds funny all of a sudden and its pretty new.

  • @Smokie181 Your car will sound like a tractor if one of your cylinders stop working.

  • well someone is goign to have a nice time gettin their spark plugs out after they have melted in there

  • I love how people want to make fun of videos when the person gives thorough and precise instruction. Yes, he may have lack of few procedures, but overall it is great information.

  • reuse these lol - thought it was a major tune up

  • it has 4 spark plugs.. 1, ha ha haa.... 2...

  • video and lighting quality SUCKS!

  • omg, and bat with no hit , he didnot get anti seize, for the threds

  • @hamtalker2007 No anti seize for the threads and no dielectric grease for the spark plug cables. tsk tsk

  • @hamtalker2007 you NEVER put copper grease or anything on the threads of a spark plug! because of the way there desinged (rolled threads, all are the same) the dont need it, and if anything, its worse because theres more of a chance of them undoing themselves, trust me, i never use copper grease on them since like a year ago coz i have had loads unspin themselves from the head

  • i think this expert village website be using funniest looking guys with the weirdest personalities

  • is that dracula

  • @bretfontecchio HAHAHAH

  • @bretfontecchio No thats his grandson!

  • no shit, do the number of spark plugs really vary from car to car , is he lighting with one table candle power or someshit

if you f it up see a professional mechanic,

I think thats what we should all do right after we wtach this vid, just for a screw loose in our brains

  • what if theirs old on the spark plug? what should i do?

  • hes using craftsman tools, cant be all that much of an expert....

  • I use mostly Craftsman myself. Anything I break often, I have in Snap-on or MAC varieties. Tools I don't use often or aren't subject to abuse, I buy the cheapest I find at my local automotive store. I guess I'm not much of an expert either even if I used to work on cars, but now mostly on motorcycles and building engines..........

A lot can be said in the way someone presents their self. He speaks confidently and clearly, doesn't hesitate, and most of all - knows what he is talking about!

  • craftsman is the best for a mechanic since you want to know that if your tool breaks you can always get it repaired that same day or even get a new one

  • i guess thats the difference between you "mechanics" and us "Technicians" I have multiples of everything and 4 different tool dealers that come to my shop weekly that are happy to repair or replace whatever i need. im never without a tool.

  • use gloves man.. you're hands are a mess.

  • getting your hands dirty doesn't leave any permenant stains so why not? if you know what ur doing, you shouldn't get cuts and burns.

  • oil can enter your body thru the skin...just a little but i dont want any oil in my system.

  • not that anyone else has noticed, but the vehicle you see there is a second generation ford probe SE or base model...random pointless fact of the day

  • can anyone tell me where the spark plugs are on a 1997 grand am? I can't find 'em! lol its a 4 cylinder by the way... 2.4L

  • Im pretty sure their on the back of the motor, very hard to get to, all you need is a mirror and small hands and the proper tools.

  • Well explained. Thanks buddy.

  • this guy thinks hes king of the grease monkeys

  • anyone know how to change lockwired spark plugs?

  • Unlock them?

  • well that was fascinating

  • Thanks!

  • why my intake filter has always oil? can someone tell me please

  • check your PCV valve

  • when should I change my spark plug..every 6 months ...anyone.

  • u dont. lol depends on what vehicle u drive and the type of spark plug u use the service interval is different. check ur car manual or ur dealer

  • If your spark plug is dripping with oil, it means oil is getting into the combustion chamber for that cylinder. You have leaking piston rings in that cylinder. I bet your burning a lot of oil too.

  • Please don't forget anti-seize on any new plugs being installed into an aluminum-headed engine. Just to make it easy, just put a bit on any plug being replaced to avoid confusion. Nothing worse than a plug that has heat-cycled and frozen itself into the cylinder head and will not come out, or takes the threads out with it.

  • yo, one of my spark plug chambers FULL WITH OIL! WHY? when i pulled out the wire it was just dripping oil! help!

  • nothing to be a fraid off

  • i got a jetta VR6 2000. what number such a just on the spark plu

  • Now do the back plugs on a transverse mounted V6...

  • easy, take the intake manifold off

  • is this 4 real :|

  • Looks like a half inch rachet with extension
