  • 5.56, lame....

  • AR,M4,M16 all the way i have used for years never let me down. And those who say the 5.56 has little stopping power STAND in front of me at 300 yards, And then tell me that

  • @UStacticalmedic36 hell yeah

  • @UStacticalmedic36 hell yeah

  • @UStacticalmedic36 hell yeah

  • AR's = over priced plastic toys

  • @tvaughanx AKs= cheap crude bullet hose

  • Great guns but pass their time, for God sakes, they both should be collectibles. I myself own a Saiga 308, i love it, but want to save up for possibly SCAR or FN - F2000. some fascinating technology.

  • I like em both, good and bad. I can run one just as well as the other thru training and practice, so I don't see what the bitchin is all about

  • your right ar s suck uncontrollable heavy recoil damn they suck im going back to my bb gun!

  • Hey blackriflear15, I'm curious........has anyone mentioned the AR-74 in this caliber argument?? If a 5.56 is so shitty, why did they go smaller to a 5.45?? How about that big,bad 7.62.....it's nothing but a castrated American round called the 30-06!! You wanna talk knockdown power??..............B.A.R. bitches....B.A.R.!!! End of argument.

that's not being to confrontational is it??

  • @Cody38Super hell no it's not being confrontational

  • @blackriflear15 However, it is worth mentioning that a B.A.R. weighs about the same as four AK's. There's nothing wrong with AK's, I had a Valmet many years ago,and I had a ball shooting it,but they are typically Russian.....simple,rugged,crude,unsophisticated,and cheap to mass produce. I don't think a lot of people understand when you say that they are from two different philosophies.

  • @Cody38Super No . most folks don't. They just get mad.

  • @blackriflear15 It's more than a shame when people can't understand the philosophies of use, form and function. So, I'm off to the range to shoot my useless antiquated 1911's.

  • @Cody38Super Yes, they do come from different philosophies. Some things intertwine between the philosophies though. Anybody who has a basic understanding of the AR knows they are simple rifles. Being cheap to mass produce was one of the big selling points of the AR15. Compared to the M14, the AR15 was a much cheaper rifle to produce.

  • @esh325 You're right, given that AR's are and have always been "milled" platforms,M14's were "machined".Machining is more laborious and time consuming. So it's only due to the proliferation of CNC machines that AR's are cheap-er to produce, and it's also the reason AR's are more inherently accurate than an even more cheaply than an even simpler "stamped" weapon. Technology Baby!,Technology. The overlap is that they're both combat rifles.

  • @Cody38Super Aluminum is quicker to machine. Armalite advertised the AR15/AR10 as being economical to produce even before modern CNC machines existed. The AK was machined when it first entered mass production. There are little to no accuracy differences between a machined receiver AK vs a stamped receiver AK. The accuracy of the AR15 over the AK is more complicated then just how the receiver is made.

  • @Cody38Super The peep sights and how close they are to the shooters eye is one reason the AR15 is considered to be more accurate by many. The .223 is another reason the AR15 is considered more accurate. The .223 has a higher BC and is a much faster round then the 7.62x39. It's thought that the tightness of the bolt is another reason the AR15 is considered more accurate.

  • @esh325 Yea,O.K., My fault. I was not considering the original Armalite M-16's. I was thinking in terms and time of it's real civilian popularity as an M4 basically. My Valmet was machined.......but it was made in Finland. I'm not an AK expert, nor do I ever hope to be,but if I remember correctly in a little show I saw about Weapons That Changed The World from TDC/The Military Chanel, the AK was always stamped, that was part of it's original design idea.

  • @Cody38Super It's always been my understanding that there are milled AK's out there, but those were the exception never the rule. The 7.62 is of course heavier and slower, but that ain't got shit to do with accuracy?! It does have to do with what you mentioned regarding the bolt..so I'll say it again..design and production.I should also say..Aluminum married with Steel..two totally different coefficients of expansion, much harder and more technical than Steel on Steel.

  • @Cody38Super It has a lot to do with it. The 7.62x39 has a some what poor trajectory. Which means it may be harder to hit things at a distance. Agreed on the last point.

  • @Cody38Super What I said still applies to civilian and military AR15's. Yes, the original AK was always intended to be a stamped design. They had difficulties making the stamped receiver at first, then switched to a milled receiver, and in the late 1950's finally switched back to the stamped receiver.

  • Sent over here via cory07ink, love your video comparison. Funny though because cory is a big ak fanboy. my personally when the SHTF ill be taking both my ak and ar. personally ill keep my ak on the side for encounters within 50 yrd or for intimidation anything but if im going to reach out and touch from a distance my life is in the hands of my ar for consistent accuracy at longer range ie 150 yrds and beyond not saying its something i would snipe with for that my .300 wsm will take that job

  • @VideosOfRandomActs thanks for stopping by

  • I have owned multiple AK platform rifles (Bulgarian AK47, a few Romanian AK74s, and a Russian AK47) as well as multiple AR platform rifles. It all comes down to what you where trained on. Personally, I would grab an AR any day of the week because I was trained on and have trained with this platform. As stated in the video, one rifle is not better than the other, they are just made for different roles in mind. AR vs AK is like Android and iPhone and Apples and Oranges.

  • But the 5.56(.223) has a spin on the round that sends a ripple effect through the body which can actually kill your body's organs. Which the AK DOESNT HAVE also you guys say that the 7.62 has better stopping power then 5.56 but once the point of stopping power when you can't hit your target cause AK has no accuracy.

  • @1MFoxbbfbag Lol, it has a "ripple effect" and sends off a mini nuclear bomb in your body.

  • @esh325 The Hyperstactic shock or hydrostatic shock what ever term suits you best (ripple effect) if you want to get technical is what i was trying to explain! IF the stopping power doesn't kill you, then the velocity of the round can kill you its been proven to fracture bones, destroy organs, cause brain hemorrhaging/ damage.

  • @1MFoxbbfbag I'm not an expert on the matter, but hydrostatic shock is widely regarded as a myth. It's more complicated then just velocity. There are no guarantees that any of those things will happen to you if you survive getting shot by a 5.56x45.

  • @1MFoxbbfbag A more correct term then hydrostatic shock would be "fragmentation" or "yawing". The 5.56x45's bullet design allows it to yaw or fragment under the right conditions which can cause nasty wounds. The yawing and fragmentation is aided by velocity. A lack of velocity or other outside factors can cause the 5.56x45 to have unimpressive wounding. Some times its wounds have been reported be like that of a .22 LR.

  • @esh325 You get what I mean though, I'm not a expert on the matter either was just trying to ad little information to the subject. It may not be proven but in all reality most believe it is true. But then again who am I trying to convince a bunch of "Internet Commandos"...

  • AR's are great rifles the only thing you could say and bring against them is the same old unreliable... which in my opinion is bull crap. I have a sbr AR made by BCM I have put about 1,600 rounds through it with a quick wipe down once and a little lube here and there and not one problem. my thing is its not about AR15 platform its about the quality of the rifle. On the subject of the rounds, look 7.62(.308) has great stopping power.

  • Look my man, the ar is not as unreliable as people think, the ak is probably more accurate than you realize. End of story. I will use both against all enemies without issue. God bless.

  • great vid..me personally i am an ak guy..i prefer the heavy round of the 7.62..but i do like the ar as well..i believe that the accuracy has alot to do with the site distance of the weapon..where the ak has a shorter site distance than the ar/m16..which is why the galil shoots a lil more accurate than the ak..it comes down to what the user prefers.and his degree of training with the weapon.i aslo believe the better rifle to compare to the ar is the ak74..these are my own opions.but great vid..

  • One more thing to add, you mentioned that people say that the AR platform is not capable of sustaining full auto, thats not true either. /watch?v=Kzfm4pYhIyY. 28 Mags of true full auto before the DI line melted, and there was no damage to the barrel.

  • I agree with what you are saying about colt defense, They USED to be the best in quality, but Colt's Manufacturing tolerances have decreased to being somewhat, par/sub par in quality. And the whole idea that Eugene Stoner didnt know anything about war, he knew as much as Kalashnikov, he served in the Corps in the pacific/Northern China, so that claim is BS. And the idea that the 556 is under powered is not true, it does what it is designed for, penetrating russian body armor at 300m, and it will

  • BTW. What's your thoughts on nickel boron coating / Failzero?

  • Moonlight Sonata. You. brother, have class in spades !

  • Help. Im about to buy a spikes tactical ar. However I cant descide if I should go with a 1in 7 or 1 in 8 twist in the mid length.

This rifle will for home/ wrol. Since it would most likely be my ownly rifle I need to get as much out of it as possible. I already know the 1in 9 isnt for me. The 1 in 7 is widely used in military applications. Although I like the ability of the 1in 8 for maximizing the 5.56. What do you think would be best all around twist rate?

  • @ThePathfinder71 it depends on how heavy your loads are, but i would go with the 1;8, it will stabilize anything 5.56/223

  • @ThePathfinder71 What is the average bullet weight you plain to shoot? Is this a 16in barrel?

  • @ThePathfinder71 My bushmaster ar 15 need lots of oil and wont shoot steel case ammo

how could you even consider talking it to battle , in battle you cant choose your ammo and oil supply ,, my AK47 is a far Superior gun end ,

  • @ThePathfinder71 personally i went with a 1:9 twist for all around multipurpose use. shoots 50-65 grain great just my opinion. the 1:7 and 1:8 are a little bit more user specific. if you want military grade i believe they shoot with a 1:7.75

  • As a owner of a Stag arms AR-15 I have never had any trouble with it and will continue to use it ,I do like the AK but have always heard how inaccurate it is I don't know to what range it does this but seems to me it you hit at what your aiming at and it does the job and your comfortable with that system use it

  • I think something along the lines of an AR-15 in 6.8 SPC would offer the best of both worlds in terms of firepower, lighter weight (compared to things like 7.62 NATO and possibly even 7.62x39), and good terminal performance. Not to mention the 6.8 SPC can be used in the familiar AR platform fairly easily with a bolt, barrel, and magazine change. And this is coming from someone who owns and fires an AK type rifle regularly. It is great for what it is, but you need to be aware of its limitations.

  • @Blackopsisntgreat yeah thats all well and good, but its a rare and expensive round, you sure as shit aint going to find it at walmart or anything like that.

personally i favor the 6.5, that shit stays super sonic past 1000 meters

  • @HunterKiller308 that is true, but you must think that if it becomes a military standard round like the 5.56 or 7.62 NATO, than more manufacturers will being manufacturing the 6.8 SPC, but yes, the 6.5 Grendel is wonderful, I have shot a friends 6.5 AR-15 to 600 meters and it was deadly accurate, seems like more of a Designated Marksman round to me though, where the 6.8 SPC is more of a 0-300 meter round (though it delivers good terminal performance to I believe 500 meters) 6.5 is great though.

  • AR-15s AND AK47s suck. M14s are the effective martyrdom facilitators.

  • @MikeM0331 AR 10s are ok too.

  • @MikeM0331 lol, you wont be saying that when you run out of ammo. you can carry 3 times more 5.56 over 7.62

btw the AR10 is the finest semi auto 308 avalible

  • @HunterKiller308 No need for 3 times for ammo when i can hit you from farther away more accurately M14 +1 AR -1 AK -1

    I own a WSAR AK a DPMS AND BUSHMASTER AR15 AND A SOCOM M14

  • @FullmetaljacketJ lol, so what your going to find yourself a little tower, burn all foliage and level all buildings within a 1000 yard radius and wait untill someone comes within range? you going to walk around all day with binoculars glued to your face, spot someone a mile down the road, drop prone and take some pot shots at him? you aint always got it like that, you cant always get the drop btw...dpms and bushmaster = garbage do yourself a favor and get a mil-spec AR15 =)

  • @HunterKiller308 My AR's are custom builds just the lowers are bush and dpms and if i go to war id only take my AK my 1911 and my R700 i dont want to worry about my rifle

  • @HunterKiller308 well then why not just carry 5000 rounds of .22 LR?

  • @MikeM0331 And AR-10s are ok. I wouldn't say the finest. I still prefer the piston of the m14. I hardly ever need to clean my action.

  • @HunterKiller308 I just found this comment today because it was marked as spam. How many AR-10s and M14s do you own or have fired? Are you talking from personal experience? While you're about to join the Marines, I have been shooting both of these guns for a couple of years (MK11 and M110 instead of AR10). The M14 and its variants always win.

As for the .22 question, it was'nt serious. The point was I don't need to worry about how much ammo I have when the ammo I have is

  • @MikeM0331 powerful enough to stop a target at extended ranges with 1 or 2 shots, sometimes more in particular situations. I don't know how much ammo you would carry, but I have carried plenty of 7.62, more then most grunts would carry of 5.56 so I know I can handle it. as far as recoil goes, if 7.62 Nato gives you problems, its not the recoil of the gun, it's the shooters fundamentals of marksmanship.

  • @MikeM0331 not marked on my screen, but whatever. i own one AR10 (a RRA) and i been shooting my dads old M1A forever.

"The M14 and its variants always win" how do you figure? the AR10 is a smoother rifle with less recoil and muzzle rise, especially when using a hydrolic buffer. not to mention accuracy, modularity, ergos and battery of operation and everything else that comes with the AR platform. anything an M1A can do an AR10 can do equally or better, however the M1A is a fine rifle indeed

  • @HunterKiller308 From what I have experienced, there are Mk11 and M110s that hold less then MOA which is good., and some that Hold more then MOA which sucks. You might have a personal AR10 that fires better then your dads old M1A, but come fire some M110s/MK11s and then M39s and M14 DMRs and you'll see a difference. the Mk 11a and M110s not consistant. I haven't felt much difference in recoil of either or muzzle rise. And yes I can clean a gun. But with the M14 you don't need to

  • @MikeM0331 to worry about failures or stopages because of a dirty action. With an M14, routine cleaning is taking out the piston and cleaning it off. With the M110s and Mk11s its taking it down and cleaning everything out.

  • @MikeM0331 running out of ammo would be my biggest fear. sixteen 30 round mags are on my heavy loadout LBE. you can carry 3 times more 5.56 over 7.62 for the same weight. that is a major advantage. as for the number of rounds needed to take out the threat it comes down to shot placement, and the more rounds you have to put down range the better. you dont have to sacrifice volume of fire and thats what willl make or break any engagement

  • @HunterKiller308 I don't need three times the amount of 7.62 when 1 round will do the same as 3 rounds of 5.56 will. I'm not worried about my shot placement because I've worked on good fundementals for a while now. Volume of fire is better left to the automatic rifleman and machinegunners, thats their job. If your rifle fire isn't accurate, it doesn't matter how many rounds you're putting down range... Eventualy the opponent will figure this out and shoot back. I have been on

  • @MikeM0331 both sides of this. It only takes a few seconds to figure out how effective suppression is. Rifles aren't made for that. Thier made to kill individuals. Amount of ammo does not make up for poor marksmanship.

  • @MikeM0331 There aren't any guarantees that somebody will die in one shot of 7.62. However, the effect of a 7.62 is usually greater then a 5.56x45.

  • You have an excellent and completely correct point that assault rifles are not crew served weapons and should not do the work of them by being used for sustained full auto fire.

Now please tell the USMC that, because they seem convinced they can and someone in the Marines is determined as hell to replace as many M249s as possible with glorified HK416s (M27 "Infantry Automatic Rifle").

  • @matchesburn I have heard things like mag fed auto guns and I am not to sure it's all to cool of an idea I don't know how they plain to lay down SUSTAINED fire without beltfed guns

  • your 1911s suck video was done alot better

  • @HunterKiller308 Yeah, I was shooting. It's always better with bullets

  • @blackriflear15 not just that, it was funny and showed just how stupid people are who bash it, it wasnt so clinical and dry....if you want to hold the attention of those ADHD Ak kids a little bang bang is a must lol

  • what states are supressed weapons legal in?

  • @NeedWarForPeace AK AL AR AZ CO CT FL GA ID IN KS KY LA MD ME MI MO MS MT NE NV NH NM NC ND OH OR OK PA SC SD TN TX UT VA WA WV WI AND WY

  • @NeedWarForPeace AK AL AR AZ CO CT FL GA ID IN KS KY LA MD ME MI MO MS MT NE NV NH NM NC ND OH OR OK PA SC SD TN TX UT VA WA WV WI AND WY

  • @NeedWarForPeace look it up? lol

  • oh btw i shoot the cheapest shit i can get my hands on i may have shot five 20 round box's of brass cased amo through it within the first week just to break it in. other than that i haven't bought a single round for it. if i preditor hunt with it i use wolf 55g jhp more than enough accuracy at 200 yards to do whats needed on a fox, ferel cats, coyotes, damn near anything you will incounter in the woods around here. oh and i don't have to fit my mags

  • @godzilla7382 good stuff

  • you want a tribute for an ar story. all you AK-47/74 lovers out there will absolutely love this. most of you who bought ak's just because of the price example wasr-10 ended up buying a rifle that was rebuilt using used parts. so you paid 450 500 bucks for an AK that is more than likely going to end up being a bump fire gun. great. but in reality the only ak's on the market that can compete against ar's are more expensive than the rifle i ran 4 thousand rounds through without cleaning.

  • A direct impingement gas operated AR15 will never be as reliable as an AK47/74. Shooting 1000 rounds without cleaning it and not having any malfunctions isnt really that impressive to me. Id like to see an AR perform in extreme heat, sub zero temps, wet, muddy, or filled with sand. If it holds up to that I will be a believer. Yes it can put tighter groups on paper than an AK but I think having the outstanding reliability of a good AK platform is more important than a slight accuracy advantage.

  • @yborzenko go look on line bud

  • Living in Canadaland I just hope the guy who breaks into my house doesn't have either of these and is armed only with bad breath.

  • @KinetiK138 Room for one more down here

  • Moonlight Sonata goes well with the topic of guns. Well done.

  • @jsmcfly oh yeah

  • AK 107, AK 104 and AK105. Enough said.

  • You made a good vid but people run on their "feelings" now trying to fight them with facts and logic is a lossing battle. But I liked your vid thanks for making it. Also AR's rock they are a great rifle.

  • CZ-805>HK416>AK>AR

  • Dont compare a AR15 with an AK within a Competition. The AK´s are made for War. If i am able to kill an Enemy within a Range of 300 Yards, its very accurat for a Assault Rifle. The AK´s are able to do that. Ask every US War Veteran, they would confirm that. What´s the real Distance in a Firefight at war between a Soldier and his Enemy? I think 200-300Yards is a high Distance in a Firefight st War. If you want a Rifle that is mor accurat, you have to choose a Sniperrifle.Sorry for my bad English.

  • @elgorro1970 they both have their strong points and they both have their weak points.but in the battlefield of today {afghanistan} you need a long range rifle.300m is not the limit of either of these rifles. if you are profecient with your m16 600m is obtainable. ak limits are about 400-450m past that balistics are just about crap on both rifles but the average engagement in country right now is 300m+. the small arms fire is just for show the main objective is harassment.

  • Good Video. But next Time, no background Music.I expect this Backgroundmusic at a funeral. Sorry for my bad english

  • @elgorro1970 I love that song

  • Beethoven playing in the background? Cor!!!!!! Classy bastard!

  • @kiwitedferny I love that one

  • Well stated, you da man! Don't argue with X-Box babies...hehe...

BTW, loved your 1911 video as well.

    -JP

  • @sharkzf6 thanks man . How you feeling?

  • @blackriflear15 - Very well, been doin a lot of shootin lately, not much video'n, just enjoyin slingin lead if ya know what I mean. Thanks for askin!

  • @sharkzf6 good thing good thing man

  • The ar15 is outdated so is the ak47

    Ak74 gas piston

    magpul masada gas piston

    fn scar gas piston

    bushmaster acr gas piston

  • @ptownpresident Dang bud ! You want to throw in a 350 small block too,it's got 8 pistons. lol

  • @blackriflear15..... holy shit man; just damn great come back

  • The AK47 is the official weapon of Armies that lose wars, or conflicts.

  • @bisquik3006 I love you...

  • @waffenherr Well, I call them like I see them. XOXOXOX

  • @bisquik3006 oh shit lol

  • @bisquik3006 I would like to agree with you,but I can't figure out of to leave Vietnam off the list of nations that won.Oh wait China kicked their ass after we left, so fuck Vietnam!

  • @mrtlsimon wut? I thought China and Vietnam had about the same casualties, and China pulled back and claimed victory. It also made China rethink how to arm their troops.

  • @sourcemaster Wars with limited objectives as a goal and not unconditional surrender allow everyone to claim victory in the end.China's goal was not to conquer Vietnam but to conduct a limited attack and to prove that the Soviet Union could do next to nothing to help its ally Vietnam. Like all wars it was political and had lots of subplots. So both sides claim the other side lost making bisquik3006 point that the AK47 the official weapon of losing armies.

  • I prefer the ak, but really like both.

Ak, low price of mil surp ammo, low cost of purchase and maintenance, lighter trigger (tapco) out of the box, big beefy bolt.

Ar, non corrosive mil surp ammo, lighter, my reliability has been awesome, flattop versatility, availability of really nice top quality components like the geissele trigger (didnt want to imply that a tapco ak trigger can compare with what is available to the ar), ergos, quality gun prices fairly equal to ak (arsenal vs bcm..$800)

  • @itsveryniice good points.

  • the AK is cheaper, thats about the only advantage.

  • AR = America's Rifle...as far as AKs, i rather have a Galil...

  • for a second there i thought you was actualy dissin the AR inmy opinion the AR15 is the best rifle out there if its good enough for are military its good enough for me id trust it with my life anyday and for pplconplainin about how dirty it is just clean the damn thing

  • Didn't the guy who made the ak get shot and heard his buddy saying the need a better gun to compet with the germans really nice guns Idk if that's rite but I feel if your close enough to get shot u mite so something about what a solider needs in combat just saying good vid tho

  • I feel you on the last 2 minutes!!! HAHA!!

  • we AR guys like to create standoff from the arguments :)

  • At their worst, Yes your high dollar Ar's may be very reliable but others low dollar Ar's may not be. Whereas you take the lowest Ak and it will run as reliable as even the high $ Ak's. There is a difference.

  • @LUVRoffreedom76 I've witnessed a $2500 and a $4,000 AR-15 have multiple feed issues with steel cased ammo. On the otherhand my mini-14 ate steel ammo all day long.

  • @BSRadar100 And I have witnessed $500 home build AR's eat steel case ammo all day long too. I dont get why guys spend the cash for a Mini when you could buy a quality AR or AK that each perform better.

  • @jetfuel545 - Some do some don't but all mini-14s will. Not everyone wants to own a gun that looks like an assault rifle. Some people like the Mini's because they remind them of a M1 and they love the action on these type of guns. I'm ex Army Infantry - I'm very familiar with the AR-15 platform. I don't hate it - I just wanted something different. Would I trust the Mini-14 in combat - absolutely. In fact I would be less worried about malfunctions.

  • @BSRadar100 I'm an AR guy and own several, that being said I owned a mini14 for about 20 years, my younger brother still has it. It used to shoot steel case ammo fine, but not anymore. Not really sure why, it shoots brass fine. But it has had so many rounds put through it that the barrel is shot out accuracy is terrible now.. He has AR's as well so the mini is just a backup.

  • @LUVRoffreedom76 this comment is very untrue. I think you need to watch some Wasr, Red jacket, Lancaster.. etc videos. There are many many examples of fail AK's. There are many AK's I would not trust as well as AR's. Both have their fails. And assembling an AR is a lot easier than an AK. That is why so many U.S. mfg AK's fail. So your right there is a difference, but you were wrong on where you placed it. its on BOTH.

  • @jetfuel545 Your getting confused at the point I'm making. My comment is true indeed. We aren't talking about some videos we have seen on youtube I'm talking about the rifles in their broadest terms all over the world all makes all model.ALL MAKES OF AK's generally perform the same whereas ALL MAKES OF AR's vary greatly in their perfomance.

  • Where are all the Ak guys lol? Here's one Anyways I think the main difference between the ak and the AR reliability wise is going to be on a broader picture. Platform vs Platform Take the worst Ak in this case we'll say the WASR10 vs the worse Ar we'll say the Century Arm's Ar and take them out and try 1000 rounds without cleaning either, and that will show you the difference between reliability. When you think about reliability platform vs platform you have to talk the whole systems,

  • there all junk get a red ryder bb gun now thats a gun lmao

  • @SOLOK1LLA but you'll shoot your eye out!

  • AR's rock! Great video brother. Love the classical.

  • Comment removed

  • @esh325 lol

  • Very well put! The AR is definitely superior for precise shooting. I just wish they didn't cost so much. I do plan to build an AR, but it will be over a period of time so I can afford good parts. I descent money, I just don't like to fork out a huge chunk of change for something I can take my time building and enjoy/appreciate it that much more. Thanks for sharing, take care.

  • @Rogerthat5x5 that's how I get mine

  • Wish I could put my 2cents in on this one...But I can't because the only time I've ever used an AK is on Call of Duty..

  • one of my aks have jammed my ar-15 never had an issue

  • @StiThis1 I've had AR15 jam and AK's jam. Neither weapon is infallible.

  • the 3 round burst is cool for the setting up on the light trigger pull for semi auto. thats about it...

  • Black Rifle...look into HK's 416....if I had the money!

  • @JimmyGunXD556 how much are them?

  • @blackriflear15 Try the LWRC M6 series for the SBR and suppressed shooting.

  • @blackriflear15 $ 2000 last i looked. Check out the toture test as well on YT. Like to hear your thoughts on it.

  • there is no training against lucky bullets. no matter what there shot from. lol

  • I'm an AR guy, but I'm an AK guy as much. Having been trained with the M16A2, owning a few lowers and a few more uppers in various calibers, and owning about another seven AKs in various calibers, I'd sooner grab the AR if I needed a rifle. If I want to go wreck something, I'll grab a '74.

Friend of mine has a Colt SP1, and after going through a case of XM193 I told him he should clean it. He hadn't cleaned it in a long time, and it'd put the mess in your SBR to shame.

  • M16A2 is what I trained on and it is a great modular rifle, it is more accurate than an AK , out to 500 meters with iron sights it can't be touched by an AK. It is a weapon designed for a professional military not a peasant army whos main battle rifle was a Mosin Nagant, which is brutally simple and effective for the same reason. And you can easily build an AR to mil-spec or better just by ordering the parts online and a few tools. Keep the weapon clean and lubed and its awesome.

  • @mrtlsimon The heat is the real worse of the two (heat and carbon) an AR with a can on it firing 100rds on full auto can get so hot that a chambered round if not fired soon will start to melt the lead core , so when you do fire it the bullet can yaw and strike a baffle . Heat like that can also fail your barrel and burn off all lube.

  • @blackriflear15 I have never fired a supressed weapon and the M16A2 had that awesome three round burst(you know the 2 rounds and then 1 round then 3 rounds )so I never had the heat issue. I wish I lived in a free state and I could at least rent a full auto weapon or own a short barreled rifle but NJ has gun laws that make us safe from all firearm related crimes. No SBRs no full auto,oh and bayonets lugs are illegal on new ARs so we are safe from bayonets too.

  • @mrtlsimon We may be able to fix that, the next shoot we host down here you need to show.

  • @blackriflear15 I will be there with an overnight bag and a fist full of dollars for 5.56 and .50 cal ammo or the ammunition itself.

  • @mrtlsimon How is the Mosin Nagant anymore complicated to use and train on then a Mauser or Enfield? According a document written by the US army, "Soviet armed forces are among the world's most professional and best trained military organizations" It is indeed more accurate, bu most combat tacticians came to the conclusion that 300m's is the limit for which a soldier can effectively use his iron sights in combat. Optics can increase the effective range for both rifles.

  • @esh325 I said that the Mosin is simple and effective,I like it enough to own one.And tacticians are correct... until they are wrong. Having the ability to reach out past 300yards when you need to is better than needing to and not being able to, and adding optics just puts the M16 series that much further ahead of the AK series because of the better trigger, longer barrel and the better BC of the 5.56 round.

  • @mrtlsimon While I have not shot to beyond 300 yards, I'm fairly certain the AK could do 400 yards at least. 400 yards is the absolute limit though.

  • @esh325 Both of the weapons are good tools but most people will not shoot to the limits of the weapon system. usafmiller shot his AK74 out to 400yards with iron sights,I have shot the M16A2 to 500 yards with irons many times as has anyone who went to Marine Corps boot camp. If you own a firearm and you plan to use it in any way learn its limitation and yours and employ it within those limitations. I think we can both agree on that.

  • @mrtlsimon Things that are possible on a range shooting in ideal conditions, are not necessarily probable in a combat situation. People shoot to AR15's to 1000 yards with Iron sights in service matches. Could a riflemen reliably hit and kill at those ranges in combat? Probably not. I agree that the person shooting the rifle is the most limited factor. And yes, most people don't shoot to the abilities of their rifles.

  • The fact is you can't beat the versatility of the AR. All these preppers / survivalist types that swear by the AK ignore the fact that one can build their very own AR at home. Building an AK is next to impossible without a machine shop and a hydraulic barrel press. And good luck finding quality mil spec parts for an AK, where as this isn't an issue for the AR.

  • The AR is a very diverse, accurate and reliable platform. Granted it has it's issues, but were really going to sit and play like the AK doesn't? I love the modularity of the AR platform, I can carry one lower and two uppers and complete my mission from start to finish. where I need two separate rifles with the AK platform. I think blackriflear15 made a good point in saying "it's time we move on from the 1960's". If you are an AK fanboy don't talk shit about my AR until you get all the facts.

  • well i'll be hogg tied and dipped in butter!

  • Lets keep it real...both are great rifles, end of discussion lol. I think Sturmgewehre at the Military Arms Channel did an excellent unbiased video over this subject and proved a solid point.

  • The real Swiss made SIG 550 , 551 and 553 rifles are the best of both worlds. match grade accuracy and ultra reliable . the thing is built like a Rolex tank . im my opinion its the best assault rifle .. Its a shame you cant buy them in the US .

  • My company did test a few years back, 108 M16A4s 26 M4s shot 2000 rounds in 3 days, thank you tax payers. We where instructed not to clean our rifles, we could only lube them. 10 M16s and 5 M4s started with no lube and did not lube at during the test. We burned threw up to 4 full mags on burst a few times. There where only 2 M16s and 3 M4s that developed problems, that was not due to mags. It killed all worries I had about the M16 platform going down when I need it most.

  • I've only have about three years experience with the AR, but I love the take down and performance of it. No complaints!

  • If you want a round that punches holes through walls, use a 7.62x39. If you want a round that tumbles and leaves nasty wound channels in flesh, use a 5.56x45. Both have their place and besides, the rifle doesn't mean shit unless the person behind it knows what to do with it. They are tools, and I like them both for what they are, but I save my love for my family.

  • @noBuzzkillin BAM...... there it is! Well said Mr. C, you took a stand and let loose ! Can't argue with common sense ....

  • LOL.. alot of good points...i own a Stag AR and getting a Arsenal SGL21 AK, I love both types and think they are both great...hate how people call either one or the other a piece of shit cause its not there favorite.

  • wow some of those ak fanboys seem like there gettin wild

  • They both suck! Get a SCAR!

  • @MrSurgicalPrecision After that 499rpm I'm thinking

  • @MrSurgicalPrecision oooooo would have to disagree with you there sir. According to MegaGevehr and his corps of mansexuals the Sig556 is superior and SCAR is for fags. But don't worry in the eyes of MegaDouche we're all mansexuals. Of course I'm willing to bet you already knew that.

  • @MrSurgicalPrecision Don't scars run about 22 hundred bucks

  • @kenc12 I paid $2500 for mine.

  • Good Video brother! I think your logic holds alot of truth in it. Besides ive never seen a AK at a national match or a 3 gun match. Im in the same boat as you with COLT. I don't buy into the Colt Kool-Aid. BTW upon years of research Ive only been able to note approx 7 parts that Colt actually makes and the barrel is *NOT* one of them.
