The combination of him cutting weight and the surgery on his eyebrows and nose made him look like a totally different person at first...its healing now and he's starting to look normal again...if he thinks that'll give him a better egde to reinvent himself at 185 then more power to him.

However the avenging is because his last fight with Rampage is the one he lost. The first one was TKO 17 consecutive Knees to rampages face. The second was his favorite knockout where he kneed Rampage in the face knocking him out and then he threw rampage over the ropes. Rampage was just dangling there out cold... oh man! that was awesome.
VTo Wanderlei has had so many fights that he has to have the scar tissue removed in order for him to keep on fighting at the caliber level he does. Otherwise evrytime he gets hit he will get cut because of the scar tissue. That was a good move on Wanderlei's part because now we know he will be back. Even better than before.
