Elvis had a wonderful sense of humour, and this was in the studio when his boys, but I don't think that he ever thought that his fans would hear this. If he had wanted it to be heard by everyone he would have put it on an album. JMO
@shannyfrm It's hard to say for sure what Elvis would think. On one hand, he was well aware that 'Elvis Presley' was a product. (No doubt, the Colonel wouldn't have ever let this stuff get released until a time he could cash in on it of course!) On the other hand, Elvis had a great sense of humor and had no problem with recording himself being silly. It wouldn't fit on an Elvis album but I think these recordings are right at home here on Youtube. I like to think Elvis would agree. :)
Great job making this compilation Vegas01973! Thank you very much by the way! It has everything I was looking for including the x rated version of Hurt which I was telling someone about but couldn't find it...he was damn funny...can you also tell me what song that is at 2:43?

This is great. It's nice to know that Elvis was just a normal guy when he didn't have to live up to the image that most people had of him. It's great to hear him being relaxed and having a good time. Love it!
Brilliant!!! heard him swear and cus b4 but never as much as you have put together, for me just makes him more human, and NOT the GOD people think and he would be glad im sure he aint on that pedastel all day 24/7!! absoloute class ,you sonna ofa bitch lol x
Ha ha! Love this, thank you for sharing this! Great to hear that he had fun in the studio, some artists take it way too seriously. He laughed at his mistakes. The "Beach Shack" bit is my favorite! : )
Don't see why some are making a big deal about him cursing. It's just typical guy talk with his friends. Elvis was only human.
@borntorun1987 Well said! I completely agree! I'm glad to hear so many are enjoying this compilation. I love Elvis so much and it is great to hear him laughing at himself. Tom Jones once recalled watching Elvis singing "How Great Thou Art" in Vegas and someone yelled something from the crowd like "I love you Elvis!" Suddenly Elvis blurted out, "Shut up Goddammit!" mid-song. When Elvis realized what he had just said he literally fell over laughing at himself. I absolutely love that about him!
@Vegas01973 Great Concept, Superb production, my friend!!! If Colonel Parker was alive today he probably would release an album of this called "Having Fun With Elvis in The Studio" LOL
@Phoenix7878 God is not a dammer.... he is a forgiver!!!! and I am over it, he was grown man and he can use his God given right to use his voice and speech any way he chose to. as i have the right to say I don't like it,,,
@Vasilouxxx So what? Why would you give my video a thumbs down just because a record label has these original recording sessions? I made this mix for the FANS and it is NOT available anywhere else. Besides, only hardcore fans buy all the FTD CDs. But if YOU have Elvis tracks that no one else on the planet has, please post them and don't forget to give your videos a thumbs down too. lol.
@Vegas01973 Well I gave you a thumbs up and I'm truly thankful for your sharing these clips. I've been an Elvis fan since I was a kid, I'm now 48 and have heard and read everything I could get my hands on by The King. I even travelled all the way from Australia to visit Graceland back in 1987. However I had not heard the majority of this. My wife said once, it's a shame people don't realise what a great sense of humour he had and what a funny guy he was and I agree with her. Thanks again.
Take the line in "Gone With the Wind". 'Damn' was the only word that was appropriate. Try any other word in its place & it doesn't accurately capture the character's true emotion and feeling. That's all I'm saying. There's a time and place to be respectful of others who are sensitive to certain words for whatever reason (hence my warning on this video) but words themselves can't hurt anyone. That's what I teach my kids as I believe in encouraging honest, open communication as well as etiquette.
@Vegas01973 i get your point but heres mine (what if) hypotheticlly someone was raised in an environment where profanity never existed? they then would be forced to use ajectives to express there objection, dissaporval etc. so the end result is more clarity of communication while not hurting, defaming & causing unease and unhappiness. if u listen to great debaters past & present a. lincon t. jefferson b. franklin a. einstein, dr.phil etc. u feel better & more intelligent & dignified. afterwards.
@jeryd2003 Even if profanity never existed there would still be some words or phrases or adjectives, or tones that someone would find unpleasant. So why worry about it? As far as causing unhappiness, other than being respectful of other people in public as I teach my kids, I see no reason to only use politically correct verbiage ALL the time. Part of living in a country with (relative) free speech is accepting that other people have different ideas on what is healthy or good. I'm okay with that.
@jeryd2003 Case in point, I find what is taught in the "Holy Bible" to be absolutely repulsive. I am horrified when parents hand kids books that endorse hatred, revenge, genital mutilation, animal abuse, slavery, genocide, rape, infanticide and so on. To me that stuff is far more evil & harmful than any four letter word ever could be. Yet, even in a book so horrific there are also a few good ideas. I wouldn't agree with any of it being censored. It is what it is, just like public speech.
@Vegas01973 if u saying their is no supreme being ur saying their is no moral authority. asume their is no god then ones conscience has to dictate whom they want to be around (based on their speech habits) i have worked for compainies with 90% black people & i heard mother fu.....ing all day long in their (everyday) way of speaking. i like most people would then have to find another job. so u saying if u kids invinted black people 4 dinner & they were mfing that would be ok with you?
@jeryd2003 There might be a supreme being. There might not. Since no religions have been able to give us a moral authority that actually works without infringing on the rights of others we had to invent our own without the assistance of any deities. Thats exactly what we did in this country. While the south was fighting for what they assumed was a God-given right to own slaves, it took secular logic to step in. I don't want absolute morality because its always an absolute mistake. Look at Islam.
@jeryd2003 I wouldn't mind if I had guests in my home that talked like that, no. It would be a good opportunity to later teach my kids tolerance of other people's vernacular even swearing. I don't want to shield my kids from the real world. I want them to know what it is really like. So I'd try to use it in a positive way. As far as workplace, that is different. Verbiage that employees are likely to find offensive has no place at work and if companies allow it they are very unprofessional. :)
@jeryd2003 America might be a free country but the workplace is not a democracy. It is a much more conservative environment where employees must abide by rules. If people are talking like that where you've worked then their H.R. Departments are a joke! If it offends you tell the boss that its creating a hostile work environment. You have rights. There's a time a place for unrestricted freedom of expression but the workplace isn't it! A lot of jobs even ban the discussion of religion & politics.
why did elvis think cussing and fowl lanquage is funny? it sounds like something a pre-adolescent unparanted child would say. maybe he got that way while in the army? irregardless its very immateur.
@jeryd2003 It's just the way Elvis was. Why do you believe that its wrong to use "fowl language"? They're just words comprised of harmless letters. Vernacular is simply a matter of taste. To some, it may seem immature but to others its refreshing to hear the King let loose and be comfortable being silly. Keep in mind, the public was not meant to hear this stuff. Elvis was human and being a fan means embracing the REAL (and complete) Elvis. At any rate, thanks for the comment! :)
@Vegas01973 there were many commedians in the era 1930-1970 groucho marks who were funny without cussing. elvises friend muhammad ali never cussed & he was one of the most wittiest, funniest genuine entertainers ever. i think cussing should be reserved for when ones get angry, not in everyday conversation. on tv now its acceptable for all to use the p-off-word for expressing anger, i cringe everytime i hear it haha hopefully the pope will never be influenced by all and start saying that hahaha
@jeryd2003 Actually many of the comedians back in the day were quite dirty but we think of them as clean acts because what Hollywood distributed was their squeaky clean stuff. Case in point, a friend's grandpa saw the Three Stooges live and said it was the dirtiest act he had ever seen! But again, WHY do you believe that being completely open and honest in speech is somehow wrong? Tradition? Upbringing? Religious reasons? We are just more liberal today and more tolerant of diverse vernacular.
@Vegas01973 good point about the illusions of past commedians but u lost me on the other point. open & honest? to communicate opening & honestly requires complete sentences. elvis was just ryming the lyrics with cuss words & there was no communication. u hit on a great point on your last point whether u intended or not. all behavior is learned. so if most of society & elvises friends & aquaintences used cusing, negativity, put-downs or condescending speech etc. then that will be internalized
@jeryd2003 By open and honest I mean expressing one's feelings without censorship. Sometimes, only a word of profanity can accurately capture one's true feelings. I'm not talking about Elvis necessarily, just communication in general. To suddenly change what you are going to say out of some desire to be politically correct may be understandable at times but it isn't 100% honest. I believe complete honesty is more important and more valuable than tiptoeing to appease other people's traditions.
i love this sooo much, it just makes u feel so close to him, sounds wrong i know cause he is swearing but makes him normal as in like us people and oh my god when he giggles it is the best sound in the world.i love it so much
i have heard a track that the N word is used its not ELVIS.its someone else.i heard it on satalite radio.cant believe they allowed it.Elvis gave martin luther king money and ALI and james brown called him there brother.Several people have said ELVIS cried like a baby when MLK was shot.
This was so wonderful and so much fun to listen to and really made smile which is something I really needed right now!!! Thank you so much for putting this up and sharing it with all of us!!! I just LOVE hearing Elvis having a good time and enjoying himself like this!! You can't help but smile and laugh right along with him whenever you hear that beautiful & wonderful unique laugh of his!!! :) SO looking forward to Part 2-PLEASE post it soon!!!! :-) Thanks again!!!
I heard Michael Jackson use a derogatory term when refering to Jews in one of his songs. Does that make him anti-semitic? That was a bad thing to say.
All this proves is that ELVIS had a foul mouth at times to pass the time in the studio. How many of you out there can honestly say you never cuss or swear? I've heard even Catholic priests cuss.
@markredmond1000 Where exactly do you believe you hear the N word? I would be very surprised to hear Elvis say that. He was NOT a racist. If he had ever used that word in the studio, even jokingly I am sure I would have heard it. I don't believe Elvis would even tolerate use of that word around him either considering his countless musical heroes and numerous employees from his staff to his back-up singers.
@Vegas01973 You are right. If Elvis ever caught anyone using that word around him he woulda tore the individual apart! I did hear where one might get confused, but no, no N word was said! What he said was (My dreams are there, where the Eagle shit!!!) it is on here twice, and it could be miss heard at first, but after paying attention to it its clear he said Eagle Shit!!!
@markredmond1000 I think he said Eagle Shit!!! not the n word. It sounds close but no cigar!!!(My dreams are there, Where the eagle shit!) I think thats where one could get confused, but I herd NO N WORD!!!
fantastic clip, thanks for sharing it, elvis not only had the greatest voice, he also had an unbelievable sunse of humour, good that he had some fun too and not only hardship
isnt it fab to hear our legend being funny and letting go!! lol i love his cussing lololol there wasnt many times he could let rip ..i love it !!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I do believe you IFOnlyE that he never swore when there were women around, this is typical men´s talk, but I don´t mind. I can tell you next time I get upset, sad, furious or bored I´ll put this video on. It´s so great to hear he was like any guy. Thanks KEL for this share!
ha ha ha!! Thats a classic at 8:04 "I'll take a piss in every fountain" lmfao!! Priceless!
Good stuff! Just one of the guys having a ball. I think it only proves Elvis was fun, funny, and saw himself as no more than just one of the guys. You just don't have fun like that and have an ego at the same time.
Elvis might have had all the fun swearing but..only when the men were around and even then, would be furious when anyone so much as said a single swear word in front of a woman let it be any woman..IF
Thanks. That would be "Power of My Love". I appreciate all the encouragement from the fans. I'm going to post a part two in the near future. Next time I'll post the title of each song while its playing. :)

@Vegas01973 there were many commedians in the era 1930-1970 groucho marks who were funny without cussing. elvises friend muhammad ali never cussed & he was one of the most wittiest, funniest genuine entertainers ever. i think cussing should be reserved for when ones get angry, not in everyday conversation. on tv now its acceptable for all to use the p-off-word for expressing anger, i cringe everytime i hear it haha hopefully the pope will never be influenced by all and start saying that hahaha
jeryd2003 11 months ago
@jeryd2003 Actually many of the comedians back in the day were quite dirty but we think of them as clean acts because what Hollywood distributed was their squeaky clean stuff. Case in point, a friend's grandpa saw the Three Stooges live and said it was the dirtiest act he had ever seen! But again, WHY do you believe that being completely open and honest in speech is somehow wrong? Tradition? Upbringing? Religious reasons? We are just more liberal today and more tolerant of diverse vernacular.
Vegas01973 11 months ago
@Vegas01973 good point about the illusions of past commedians but u lost me on the other point. open & honest? to communicate opening & honestly requires complete sentences. elvis was just ryming the lyrics with cuss words & there was no communication. u hit on a great point on your last point whether u intended or not. all behavior is learned. so if most of society & elvises friends & aquaintences used cusing, negativity, put-downs or condescending speech etc. then that will be internalized
jeryd2003 11 months ago
@jeryd2003 By open and honest I mean expressing one's feelings without censorship. Sometimes, only a word of profanity can accurately capture one's true feelings. I'm not talking about Elvis necessarily, just communication in general. To suddenly change what you are going to say out of some desire to be politically correct may be understandable at times but it isn't 100% honest. I believe complete honesty is more important and more valuable than tiptoeing to appease other people's traditions.

I heard Michael Jackson use a derogatory term when refering to Jews in one of his songs. Does that make him anti-semitic? That was a bad thing to say.
donn409 1 year ago
All this proves is that ELVIS had a foul mouth at times to pass the time in the studio. How many of you out there can honestly say you never cuss or swear? I've heard even Catholic priests cuss.
donn409 1 year ago
I did not hear him say Nigger once.on this video....back in the 50/60/70'/80/90/ it was common word..only Oprah outlawed it in the last few years...

markredmond1000 1 year ago
@markredmond1000 Where exactly do you believe you hear the N word? I would be very surprised to hear Elvis say that. He was NOT a racist. If he had ever used that word in the studio, even jokingly I am sure I would have heard it. I don't believe Elvis would even tolerate use of that word around him either considering his countless musical heroes and numerous employees from his staff to his back-up singers.
Vegas01973 1 year ago 2
@Vegas01973 You are right. If Elvis ever caught anyone using that word around him he woulda tore the individual apart! I did hear where one might get confused, but no, no N word was said! What he said was (My dreams are there, where the Eagle shit!!!) it is on here twice, and it could be miss heard at first, but after paying attention to it its clear he said Eagle Shit!!!

Thanks for the video!
