This is still really sloppy, don't get me wrong you're a good player, but it's just really sloppy. By no means am I saying I'm better than you, it's just that it's really sloppy, and during the second part you could hear a lot of ghost notes ringing (especially the high E string) and it didn't sound very good with all the excess noise. You're not a bad player at all, I'm just saying you need to work on your technique and take the time to perfect it.

It is no fake and I tell you how to make the highest notes.... I guess you know how to make harmonics at twelwth fret, and at seventh and fifth. What you do, you think as you move the fifth fret harmonic. You use your first finger and pincky to do so. If I strech my fingers all I can I can put my first finger in the first fret, then make the harmonic with my pinchy in the 6 fret.

part 2: But my fingers are long and that is rather painful still for me, so both I and others I better do the same higher up on the neck where the frets are closer to each other. For example first finger in 9. fret and pinchy making the harmonic in 14 fret. Never forget that guitarfarmer learned you this trick, I have not learned this from anyone else :-) And have not seen anyone else do it. But of course several harmonic techniques are known.

I'm learning this on guitar. I was looking around youtube for some inspiration and after Jason Becker for a few minutes, you really drove it home. Obviously you have tons more practicing ahead of you but completely alternate picked? That's a feat. I suppose I'm at the other end of the spectrum.Economy/sweep picking for me. What's really annoying about learning this is that I need tabs. Way too fast for my to play by ear alone. Oh well. -picks up guitar- Did you bother with a metronome at all?

I have allways liked the attack of the sound of alternate picking thats all. And the fact that nobody else have done it like that. As you notice I will still have a lot of practising before its perfect, but anyway I like it better than sweeping. But as a player, when you really can alternate like Petrucci or Gilbert or really can sweep like Gambale for instance, it doesnt matter, it sounds cool anyway :-)
