  • Ron Paul, ladies and gentlemen.

  • @ohedd Im With You 100% Dr Paul, lets Get Rid Of Medicare, Social Security, Epa, Clean Water Act, Educational System, traffic Light's, Hospitals, Next To Ralph Nader You Are The Smartest Retard On The Planet, Lets Bring Back The Dark Ages, Do Any Of Youy Ron Paul Supporters Really Know What The Good Doctor Realluy Want's To Do To America????? Just Give Me The Red Pill,

  • @scottsway MediCare, Social security, Federal reserve and other federal institutions are redundant and expensive. Make that a state matter. Your ideas about Ron Paul wanting to remove traffic lights, hospitals and bringin back the dark ages is a false analogy. It's not about removing things that work - it's about running them according to capitalist principles - free from corporatism and government intervention. Overregulation is the last thing America needs right now.

  • Why do people still vote and support "corrupt" politicians who take "bribes" >_<

  • All that is needed to expose who's in whose back pocket is to simply take contributions with no limits but with full and open reporting within 3 days of the donation date. The companies / employer should be a part of the record to be able to group same company donations.

  • obama is bought

  • Comment removed

  • Simple rules. Call "contributions" what they are--bribes. Make corporations and businesses unable to bribe. And then set a limit for the max amount an individual can contribute, something small, like $1,000 per candidate per campaign. That way people can still support candidates they like, and insurance companies aren't able to dish out billions to politicians that should be serving US not selling their vote.

  • rick needs to roll... nice

  • LOL THERE WAS A GEORGE BUSH COMMERCIAL BEFORE THIS.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • Rip the audio from this track at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • DeMinte started the supermajority.

  • Give the parties X amount of dollars each from the state to campaign with and forbid companies to sponsor politicians and the problem is gone. Will it cost the state a few dollars? Yes. Is it worth it? HELL YEAH!

  • As long as bribery, errr I mean lobbying is legal in Washington we are going to be owned by corporations. Democrat or Republican it doesn't matter. They are all sell outs.

  • most americans like corporatism. look at the 2010 general election results.

  • so-sad-what-was-the-greatest-democracy-ever-sold-to-the-highest-bidder-eisenhower-was-completely-correct-i-cant-believe-whats-happened-the-only-way-out-is-government-financed-elections-every-body-gets-the-exact-same-amount-no-corp-donations-may-the-best-idea-win-i-dont-think-it-will-ever-happen-they-are-2-strong-now-i-mean-the-bought-and-paid-for-politicians-but-one-can-hope

  • Again...Why bother with political leaders if they are going to more or less legislate along the lines of their corporate donors? Why don't we just have corporate reps legislating? Cut out elected politicians who are the middle men - save tax money and instead of campaign contribution, the corporate reps can just donate some to the treasury. And Americans can be spared of the so-called "hyper-partisanship" circus that goes on in Congress.

Just the idiotic part of me joking around... maybe...

  • Just bring back the constitution... pretty simple to me XD

  • washington politicians should not be able to take any money from anyone who does not live in that district and persoannly vote for that person....money in politics only shuts down the voice of the little guy..if we can't get the money out of politics, i say get the politicians out of our government...they are all worthless

  • Americans are scared of the words Communism and Socialism, even though they don't know what it means.

basically socialist healthcare the profit would go towards making the system better and would be run by the Government whom YOU the people elect and choose, rather then a CEO who tries to cut spending and make the healthcare cost more so he can make profit to spend on his own goods like a big house and car rather then better quality.

  • You're such a pussy, scottsway.

  • The reptilians from the outter space rule them

  • @Glitch385 he definitely is in bed with wall street and the reforn they are pushing is nothing but another scam being perpatrated on the people...if they were to really truly reform , it would be killing the goose that lays the golden egg for all of the whores in washington...don't buy into their reform bullshit..it is a farce

  • Barak's Health Care Reformation.... Can it advance America's residents. . . ? US view points have to be stated!! Goto my youtube profile and learn how

  • I agree with the video. The only thing I disagree with is the current health reform. Every government-run program crashes and burns into debt, and I wouldn't trust them with this one either.

I definitely think reform is needed, but if you think the government isn't looking to expand its power and profit through these means you're insane. Obama wouldn't be president if he wasn't for corporate power.

  • I agree with this video.

  • fox news is faux news

  • Cap and trade actual does pay the Corporations

  • The 13 families own the US Govt' The Bilderbergs The Rockefellers Rothchilds The Queen of england etc etc etc The Elite of the elite Owns the US Govt'

  • I think there is a huge underestimation of the amount of "corporatist" senators...its more like 98%, if not worse. The House is slightly better but not in any significant way.

  • You nailed it... Corporatocracy (sp?)

  • this seems true to me.

  • I'm a TRUE liberal. A TRUE conservative. I understand the difference between liberty and authoritarianism. I understand the neocon war mongering agenda as well as I understand the 'progressive' movement to encapsulate our lives into government power for our so called well being

They all have one thing n common. Neolib or neocon, they all want complete power and control over the serfs - YOU.

You people who follow the left wing definition of progressive are just as foolish and VERY ignorant.

  • This guy is an idiot as much as he seems to try he just doesn't have a grasp on reality. The 'progressive' movement is LED by corporations/banks. It came from eugenicist/malthusian principles by the same world order that created the corporatist structure in the United States and the world.

He is cheering on the same globalists that he espouses to dislike when he thinks being a liberal progressive is a good thing.

Oh brother, the right and the left are so confused and brainwashed. Its sad.

  • Comment removed

  • Do I catch a whiff of Glen Beck?

  • no. I cant stand glenn beck. I speak against him every chance I get. he acts as if he were an extension to operation mockingbird. he is a warmongering neocon. He says the truth about the fed, is right about the progressive movement's history (sorry, its all true, read a history book or something).... but he is nothing but another corporate shill acting as a firewall to true information.

your problem is that you know nothing but mainstream propaganda news. turn off your television buddy.

  • Cenk, you are spot on, man. I've been saying this to progressives for years.

We're aiming for wrong targets. Petitions and phones don't really change crap. We, Republican, Democrats, Conservatives, Progressives, need go after this campaign finance system. They're screwing us all and laughing all the way to the bank.

  • Corporations aren't the problem. In my opinion, it is the lobbying BY the corporations. Special interest in itself should widely be taken out. Not one particular breed.

And I have no idea how your idea of "Progressive" means "their heart's in the right place".

  • American politicians are owned by CIA, CIA is run and mantained by FR, they own USA because they have TEH MONAY.

  • AMEN!!!!!

  • Independent or bust.

  • Green Party anyone?

  • GREAT ONE, TYT! love it.

Here's a question: Why do so many congressmen do the corporations' bidding? Well, election after election, we vote for someone we sincerely believe is the lesser of two evils. They don't have to uphold the Constitution or the will of the people - or anything in our interest - to get re-elected by us. They can, on the other hand, get their pockets lined by corporations if only they uphold the will of the corporations.

real question: Why WOULDN'T they serve corporations?

  • Average :

Must raise $20,000 per day for 4 years, in the Senate to afford to be reelected.

Must raise $2,000 per day for two years, in the House to afford to be reelected.

IF their constituents do not donate it ....

  • @hackit12

    aha thats why

there is more sincere guys on the house

    then on the senate

no wonder why the senate is more corrupt then the house

  • And now they have more power to buiy and finace thier politicians thanks to the not so supreme court. Its all a racket and were just pawns and cogs in the wheel of the machine.

  • obviously right,

  • Thats just it corporate owns 60% of congress and 100% the media and justice system. Just look at the deal between BofA and the SEC, both should be sitting in jail with Bernie, maybe he can get off. Why should he sit in jail while they walk for there is no difference

  • Snuck in a rick roll.

  • wow he is right

  • Politics Should Never Be in Bed With Corporate America ... We need REFORM

  • But that is Capitalism?

  • Govt,/corporations = fascism

  • That REFORM would need to include making ALL forms of lobbying ILLEGAL, without that specifically nothing would change.

  • @TheUSMetalhead

making lobbying illegal isn't going to do anything

at least this way were able to see who's bribing our congressman.... if you make lobbying illegal corporations are simply going to pay our congressman under the table

  • @TheUSMetalhead Some forms of lobbying are necessary to prevent campaign marketing and PR from being the sole deciding factors in elections and the issues.

The disconnect comes when the lobbies are more representative of corporate interests than interests and rights of the majority.

  • @TheUSMetalhead Agree, but even banning institutions from donating and limiting it to individuals would help. The fact institutions like mega churches, corporations, unions, etc., fund more than 50% of every campiagn is perverse...at the very least individual donors should be the only ones donating. But I tend to agree, I'm pretty libertarian, but bribery seems wrong, and govt should run elections if it runs anything. Elections and military, that's about all I'll agree to...lol.

  • @tommypickles09

Ya, good luck with that. You're asking the fox to reform the hen house.

And the fox is all like....yaaaaaaa of course I'll keep your chickens safe...

Seriously. You expect people who believe in autocracy, or plutocracy to counteract their own interests?

Here's how you fix it. You don't. You thank god you where born early enough to live most of your life without seeing what this country will be when they are done with it. You curse greed for your children's fate. Fin.

  • @tommypickles09 ABOLISH POLITICAL PARTIES

  • Good god I talk to so many friends about this.

Conservative vs Liberal is a distraction.

The only way to fix this system is

    Term Limits and

    Public financing of campaigns.

  • I disagree on term limits -

if a person is ineffective - replace them ...

if a person is effective - force them out - why ??

  • @hackit12

You have a valid point, there are good members in congress Dennis K., B Sanders, etc...

However the larger argument for Term Limits is career politicians who develop an efficient organization & self servingly hog the office.

12 years MAX is enough influence of any, 1 person. 2 terms for SEN, 6 for House members.

Any special relationships they develop that improves efficiency should apply to the OFFICE, not the Individual congressman.

    Term limits would improve representation.

  • This is THE BEST description I've ever heard about Congress.

  • Comment removed

  • Cenk got Howard Beale on us for a minute there! (Network, the movie)

"This is mass madness, you maniacs! In God's name, you people are the real thing! *WE* are the illusion! So turn off your television sets. Turn them off now. Turn them off right now. Turn them off and leave them off! Turn them off right in the middle of the sentence I'm speaking to you now! TURN THEM OFF..."

  • Get your point ... but I turned my computer off ...

So what are we gonna do about it - fascism has come to America. Govt./corporate bought - somewhat "legally" ...

Mad as hell what are we gonna do ?

  • There is 1 thing the population holds over everybody else, and will forever; it's the vote.

  • I know it's just me, but,

    I chuckle,

when I hear the work "progressive".

    Actually,

    sometimes I laugh out loud.

    "Progressives" indeed.

  • i does

  • I'm surprised the GOP hasn't called out a hit on Ron Paul...

  • because he resembles the Tea parties too much..for them to bash. the GOP need tea party support to get back into power

  • Fairly simple question. Corporate lobbyists. Many politicians and our congress as a whole, are owned by the 1%, that 1% owes and controls almost 50% of wealth and 100% of our media.

Making lobbying illegal, and public financed campaigns and elections would solve this, so maybe a good idea would be to do a little homework and get off your ass and vote in the generals and the more important mid-terms and vote for the honest politicians. The biggest problem is us, the non-voting public.

  • I agree with you but sadly the "top 1%" in this contry actually owns and controls over 90% of the wealth in the U.S. Who says the days of kings are gone?

  • The 50% I got was just estimated numbers from 2007, I have no doubt they control much more and 90% is probably a more accurate guess. I just watched a documentary called "The One Percent" made by a Johnson and Johnson heir, the son, and it has footage and testimony of the way these folks act and talk and think of "us" and it's disgusting. For just appearing in the film, the youngest grand-daughter of Warren Buffet was dis-owned by him and written out of the fortune. Kings? More like monsters.

  • Its so true. And I know its been said so many times but the only way things like this have ever been changed in the past are from a revolution.

  • I agree, but the times where a revolution would work are long gone. These people will do anything to keep their power.

  • I think time will tell. With Inflation happening right now and the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer some things gotta give. It will be a whole different story once people aren't able to feed their families. Most of the population is still comfortable. Once It gets to the point where the masses aren't able to even buy groceries we are going to see something happen. I don't care how powerful the high ups are, there are power in numbers!

  • Well said.

  • The conservative movement is against the inflation. There is enough steam against this Statist agenda within the Independents and the Tea Party.

There you may find a fight worth fighting before anything like anarchy happens.

  • Let individuals contribute as they desire; but let us prohibit in effective fashion all corporations from making contributions for any political purpose, directly or indirectly. Theodore Roosevelt

The Republican President rarely "noted" by the corporate whores.

  • America.... fascist much?

  • One of the best TYT clips I've seen to date.

  • Ron Paul is a sell out to corporate oil. His unflagging support for oil company tax breaks and subsidies and disdain for the environment isn't a coincidence or high minded.

  • really??

i haven't been following ron paul much lately, but from what i know about him, he's anything but corporatist.

i might not agree with everything he says, but he's the only republican who i could be sure was not swayed by corporate money...

but if you're right, then that sux for the US... that just means anybody can be turned into a corporatist if you name the right price..

  • He says one thing but does another, like all the rest. It's not new, he's always been like that. He's a hard right winger a really convincing liar, but his voting record is public.

  • wow... well, i knew he was a right-winger.. that was pretty obvious, but him being corporatist was news to me.. i probably should have known better though.

i guess i shouldn't feel too bad though.. a lot of people were riding that ron paul revolution movement and got fooled by his pretty sounding words....

    kinda like obama...

    who woulda thunk it? lol

  • Yeah, same thing. People listen to the words without checking the actions.

    There's a great website - ontheissues (dotorg).

It shows you people's statements and how they voted.

  • Here's an example of what I mean about Paul from that site:

    Paul's statement:

Big Oil profits ok; Big Oil subsidies are not. (Jun 2007)

    His action:

Voted NO on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies. (Jan 2007)

  • He is a very honest, no nonsense S. Texas politician. And he delivers what his constituency needs and want.

But would not be effective "for the other" 49 states.

Assuming we have about 15-20 major common goals - he can only deliver on a few.

  • It would help if Barack "I gave you hope but kept the change" Obama wasn't the biggest corporatist sellout himself.

  • Now if I say this I get all this "you're brainwashed by Alex Jones" BS.

  • corporations are interested in their own bottom line, and nothing else. They spend their money in politics to help the bottom line, and that rarely helps anyone else. Not evil, just greedy and powerful

No go back to masturbating to Rush and Glen.

  • Ur so fucking stupid, Cenk has never said they were tyring to take over the world and he's never said they should not exist. But if u think they dont donate to senators to stop legilation that would affect their bottom line u r incredibly naive. corporations are interested in their own bottom line, and nothing else. They spend their money in politics to help the bottom line, and that rarely helps anyone else. Not evil, just greedy and powerful. Last point, Cenk is Atheist u ignorant fuck

  • I wounder why Rush puts all dems in the same camp.

  • b/c corporatists would prefer the illusion of choice, so they need somebody like rush to constantly point out these artificial differences between dems and reps..

that way americans can stick by their patriotic, cliche rant about living in the best and most free democracy in the world.

because everybody knows we have so much variety, so much options, like a real democracy ought to have...

    coke or pepsi

    BK or McD

    dems or reps

  • Cenk Uygur is the reason I make correct political decisions. If Cenk ran for president, I would regain hope in this nation.

  • too bad he's turkish

and as soon as you repeal that law to get him in the election the governator would run

  • maybe we could send the list as a chain letter nation wide and through the internet.

  • You hate to say it but.....

    Nader was RIGHT

  • Well said Cenk

    Thats all there's to it.

  • has this always been the problem

  • yes I agree Obama has shown himself to be not much more then a corpratist, he's still better then any republican but he's not quite what we need. We need someone who will really fight for the little guy, but I would guess that a president how actually helped the Ameircan people wouldn't last very long in office. America's owners wouldn't allow it

  • Watch: John Pilger - Obama Is A Corporate Marketing Creation. On Youtube

  • why dont you do it cenk ... expose each one of them for what they are and represent ...

then perhaps then the people will know why reforms tabled by obama are not goin anywhere.

  • We need campaign finance reform. Until then, protest the two-party system and vote third party. Vote Libertarian, vote Green, I don't care, just don't support this Democrat-Republican beast (except the sincere Dems and Republicans like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich).

  • Cenk has just woke up from a long forced sleep while most Americans are, in a forced hibernation like Rip Van Winkle (The fairytale character who slept for many ages). Let those who are still in slumber wake up from it. Visit: WAKEUPFROMYOURSLUMBER website

  • 60 Corporatist Senators? Really? 60? More like 85... Every single Republican (41), and easily the majority of the 59 Democrats). That's 70 right there

  • Bribery: The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of something of value for the purpose of influencing the action of an official in the discharge of his or her public or legal duties. (The Free Dictionary).

How come a City Councilman can go to jail for this act, but a Senator cannot?

  • Folks, it's easier to blame an entire political group rather than take the time to point out the corrupt members. Some have enterd politics to endulge an unquenchable thirst for wealth and power. They're actions can be compared to a schoolyard bully taking the property of other kids. Those individuals can be found in both parties.

  • They are not hard to find but of course, go unnoticed if no one is looking for this type of behavior. From the beginning of written history we can find exmples of people like this and how they're actions have destroyed the lives of common people. Perhaps one day the human race will evolve enough to put a stop to this form of mental illness but it's doubtfull.

  • Cenk talks about needing campaign finance reform. LMAO

Campaign Finance Reform WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Why would anyone change something that makes them RICH?!

Anyone that claims they want campaign finance reform and voted for an incumbant is an idiot! No campaign finance reform without term limits imposed by the voters. And term limits imposed by the voters will never be consistant enough to cause any change in campaign finance laws.

This is the way it will ALWAYS be. Get over it!!!

  • Rep and Dem's are all the same.We need to get rid of both partie's.I suggest everyone votes for ron paul next election.Unlike many of the sheepeople he he awake and know's exactly what's going on.But the chances are that he will be take OUT if hes elected or either they will screw with the vote's so hes not elected.

  • @Demov12 - "we need to get rid of both parties" LMAO

The laws are made by the parties you want to get rid of. Why would a party enact laws that are detrimental to the party?! You wish for something that will NEVER happen.

  • It is the same in Canada, the two main parties are Corporates.

  • Public Campaign Finance Reform is the last hope this country has. We're screw without it. I'm moving to Australia.

  • "Stupid liberals. Fuck your science, fuck your atheism, and fuck you." - Conservative.

  • @Zubinen - Fuck you Conservative murderers! You will NEVER take away the rights of women to control their bodies no matter how many people your kind murders!

The American people will not succumb to your terrorism! We are Americans and you do not scare us!

  • @Zubinen

You dont seem to like intelligence, dont you?

  • Notice I used quotation marks. As clear by my channel, I'm a far left liberal.

  • we should remove this type of government and have the people vote on the bills that the people address.

  • O was Big Finances top recipient in 08 to the tune of $40 million. Might explain

why 12 months later there has been virtually nothing done to reign in Wall St's excesses.

  • Unfortunately Cenk, you've indicated that you might sell out as well when TYT's profile gets bigger. Now you've said on numerous occasions that we should join TYT so that you guys can remain neutral and not be influenced by advertiser cash - that, to me, indicates that you might sell out given the advertiser and amount of cash. In the vid about Tiger and the pornstar, you said you'd totally keep the baby for the cash. I know it was a joke, but I think part of it was hinting at a darker reality.

  • @skdnow yes, true, same thoughts here

  • @skdnow That's true what he's said about joining so they can bring the real news... I think what he really meant is if they became part of the MSM, they would not be allowed to be as truthful as they are now because their bosses would not let them and if they did it anyway, they would be fired and taken off the air... so it's not like they would immediately sell out, it's that the cable networks would not allow them to be real and tell the truth (most likely)

  • You got another hope..., VOTE DIFFERENT, there is other partys then democrats and republicans.

  • problem again is the evangelical majority will just throw in with republican and they will win.

So actual democrats loose and REAL conservatives loose. Religious nut cases win.

  • So true about turning off your tv. I have a huge tv that sits in the corner collecting dust. I turn it on every now and then to watch (only) the 'news' and it is so biased and sickeningly untrue I just end up turning it off in disgust. Think I might sell it actually...

  • You need a TV for dvds and video games.

  • Ah no - I dont do console games ( I do like PC shooters) and my PC has a DVD drive and big enough monitor for me... and if I want movies, piratebay (avi, divx, xvid)

  • people think that we put rep and dem's in office and they work for us.

the sad truth is, it is true however money rules no matter what. hell i'd kill my own grandma given enough $. sad thing is i know my gramz would do the same thing.

we put the people in power than they have power over us. we can't change it, if we do, it will come back in some new forum.

  • Finally some one who see the deeper truth nothing can be done. If glass stiegal was reenacted the guys with money would find away to bring it down after couple decades. We as progressives will never win. It is too late, will be to late, was always to late.

  • cenk, you need 2 name them, and show their picture, and say who they are being bought out by so the people can muster up the courage to do something about it!

  • Why aren't people angry about this?

  • Republicans are brainwashed to vote against their own interests. Democrats suffer from battered wife syndrome.

  • We're used to it.

  • Maybe because many lost intrest in politics?

  • please rate 5 stars

  • Cough* Illuminati cough* cough*

  • Exactly.

Google Bilderberg people. New World Order. Mark of the beast. Global enslavement. Whatever you want to call it.

  • Excellent vid.

  • TYT tell like it is

  • Great vid Cenk.

I don't see why you ever wanted to be on MSNBC... do you think you could actually continue doing your show like you are now if you were under their thumb?

  • It's nice to see the truth here, at least somewhere.

  • Just so you know Ecw. Sarcasm is a bit hard to pull of in plain text.

  • I've long been saying this, and even some people I know will blast me for saying that, and they will defend corporations. Anyone who doesn't see this and fight against it, it's hard to have any sort of contact with them.

  • This country really needs President Sarah Palin for she will completely root out all forms of corporate and lobbying corruption in Washington using her DIVINE and PURIFYING POWER of GOD HERSELF! Palin will truly restore our government for the people and bring greatness and prosperity never before seen in the history of this great nation!

  • @ecwaufisxtreme Your in complete denial about sarah palin lol

  • @ecwaufisxtreme stay off the crack!!!

  • Interesting...

  • I meant privatized gain

  • Maybe i'm just a pessimist but I don't see this changing. In fact it can only get worse. Unlimited "free speech" for corporations, consolidation of media, privatized risk and socialized loss, historic upward redistribution of wealth, "grass roots" political movements started and funded by corporations, ect. The game is over. Corporatism won thirty years ago it's just becoming obvious now.

  • This is WHY we need President Sarah Palin for she will with the POWER and WRATH OF GOD HERSELF CLEAN OUT this corrupt corporate evil OUT of Government! Only Palin has the power to do this for she is GOD's CHOSEN ONE, GOD INCARNATE and the LIVING EMBODIMENT OF GOD HERSELF! Palin is the REAL SAVIOR and MESSIAH of the world and will BRING REAL HOPE AND CHANGE!

  • nice trolling attempt :)

  • Could you tell us how she is supposed to bring any change, when her party is totally corrupt and she has an IQ of an avarage high school student?

  • Her smarts beat the Obots who engage the same of same ol..day after day. get some new material. Your parrot is boring.

  • @ecwaufisxtreme HAHAHHAHA!! good one

  • yep we need a quitter who has no idea what her kids are doing

  • Corporate?

What's that chickenshit ? Is that your codeword for Zionist ?

  • rick, you're on to something, roll with it.

    lol rick roll...

  • They own the media too, they depend on corporations for advertising. If you own a media outlet that has a duty to make profits above all else, are you going to investigate whether a major sponsor is corrupting the government?

  • Obama = corporatist. Game over.
