A posi burnes em no matter what limited slip only works on flat surface so u dont kill your tires going around corners.

what you describe as a posi sounds like a spool, as far as i know posi was a term implemented by gm for limited slip.

@dushbag38 limited slip and posi are the same thing, GM just decided to use limited slip to make it sound better. i should know my dad works for GM lol

sorry 5 star but i build 3rd gens and you have no posi its limited slip thats why it only works in straight lines but awsome burnout!

posi and limited slip are the same thing. I don't have that rear in the car any more, currently it has a complete drive train out of a 98 z28 with working posi.

haha I have the same problem lol.
Im guessing you have a 9 bolt.
Mine has 150K on it and is practicaly an open diff. I am gonan try and shimm it though and see if that helps.
