It is for aircraft use so it has a Bendix dual ignition magneto on the back. You can barely see it in the video. It's in the left portion of the frame.
The best bet is to contact Great Plains or Revmaster on these questions. My plane came with the Revmaster engine. We were only rebuilding it to clean it up.
Anyone looking for a really nice Warnke for a VW quickie or Dfly? It's brand new.

I'm building a VW motor for an aircraft appliation that needs 80-100 HP relyably.
Using the 1776cc kit cromolly forged crank.
What cam, and head sellection would I want for a direct drive?
I intend to mount the hub onto the fly wheel for a nose mounted engine to get the standard turning direction.
Where would I want to install a thrust bearing to except the load and maintain proper clearance between the crank and main bearing in the case?
thank you for your time.

Hey - I'm putting in a Great Plains 2100 cc in my Rans Coyote - what static thrust is your VW putting out? What length prop and pitch?
