  • you can get just the rings off e-bay for $23 that's with shipping.

  • @xxxgreg Hard times must really be hard times.

  • im using cpvc, hope it works

  • it works great. make sure you fill them w/ sand prior to heating them up to avoid kinks, but i'm sure you already know this. it's all about trial and error. good luck.

  • Great idea. The only thing is, if I understood correctly, the hoses were $15 each and the straps $10...

In the end, you probably saved about $20 to $30

Did the PVC rings work out much worse? Cause that's about a $60 savings

  • The PVC rings worked out great, but these took less effort to make and are just as strong in my opinion. You're probably right about saving more w/ the PVC rings. I just wanted to show another option in case some people didn't have an oven big enough to hold the PVC pipes. Thanks for the comment. Keep training hard. It looks like your son is quite the athlete.

  • LOL... he takes after his dad!

One thing I took away from this video is, if you're creative, have an open mind, and you're always hunting, you can come up with some pretty cool solutions, rather than just follow what's posted everywhere

    Thanks!

  • That's exactly what I was hoping for when I posted this. Thanks for the comment.

  • At the end of the day, (the poor man always pays twice). Buy quality and you never have to buy or upgrade again.

  • wow that's deep. i've made 4 set of rings using various methods and they all have yet to break . i've had a 270 lb pro football player use them w/o any issues.

do think the originals appeared out of thin air? don't judge somebody for being creative when you obviously haven't done a damn thing except favorite a fat guy doing "Tonfa Kata."

here's a tip confucius. don't touch your key board unless you have something constructive to say.

  • Ouch!

Sorry Superman. If you feel that your rings are the best, then good for you. I ended up buying "Cable Hand Grips" that you find in any Gym. Cost me $40 and do the same. Soooorry to upset you. You might have take a teaspoon of Cement and Harden the Fuck Up!!.

  • first of all, i don't feel that my rings are the best. in fact, i stated that in the beginning of the video. second, i don't need cement to "harden the f$%k up." my life experiences have hardened me just fine. third, you didn't upset me. i felt that your comment was condescending so i decided to respond to it appropriately. Leave a 'jerkish' comment, get a sarcastic reply. If that wasn't your intention, then my bad, but look at it from my perspective. good job on the $40 rings. seriously.

  • This is total Trolling. Anyone looking at this is clearly interested in saving a buck now and is willing to deal with the obvious risks associated with homemade equipment. Your just being inflammatory on purpose to be a tool, schmuck, boob, etc. Are you 12?

Firetrainer33, great work, it's much appreciated!

  • damn i need rings!!!

  • go make you some. these are cheap and they work great

  • yeah but i dont know where to hang em because my doorway has metal posts and i dont have a pull up bar

  • Nice! If you filled the tubing with some kind of glue polymer/sand mix you might be able to stiffen up the tubing. That or make a huge mess...

  • it's funny you say that because i had a can of expanding foam that i almost let loose inside the tubes. i figured exploding rings were not very useful so i decided against it.
