  • Driving 80+ MPH when it's safe, while listening to this song.

    Nothing is better.

  • (hence SPRING TIME)!

  • I know what the latin lyrics mean in English. But what do they "really" mean? I mean, what's the sense of them? The balance of nature, I guess. Then why have named this song "tempus vernum"?

  • look like hitman gonna assasin some one tonight

  • This reminds me of someone casting demons from hell. I still love it nontheless. ♥

  • I so prefer her chanting music like this, cursum perficio and pax deorum than the slightly silly songs like wild child and anywhere is.

  • @DomitoriM Carribean Blue. It's neither silly nor chanting... simply beautiful. My favorite of Enya's, and perhaps my absolute fave song of all time... ^_^

  • i'm scared when i heard this song :(

  • Its like an ominous doom is looming over the horizon,as dominant forces induce a cloud of luminous essence on mankind...that song is about the fallen angels.

  • @amasters85 do yuo speak Gaelic?

  • @centerfold8 It's not Gaelic, but Loxian.

  • @BreatheRadio This is in Latin. The only songs spoken in the fictional Loxian are from the album Amarantine. "Less Than A Pearl," "Water Shows the Hidden Heart," and "The River Sings."

  • quite haunting. nice!

  • Better then the first time I heard this song Enya like good wine Gets better with age

  • haunting

  • relaxing

  • Makes me think of Link fighting Ganondorf in Legend of Zelda

  • @Noremorse10 Indeed. maybe because I had this very CD back when I had an actual deck, but these songs make me think Yugioh. Wild Child = the ascension of rank, Only Time = Day before finale, this = impending duel against #1 duelist of the world. =P I know, I'm a nerd. 5 = victory.

  • I love this song. Think of it: "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Captain America", "Green Lantern", "The Green Hornet", all of those type of movies. Isn't that just awsome?!

  • This is one of my favorite songs done by her.. she's truly a wonderful, unique singer!

  • I love the latin. The latin brings a kind of mysteriousness to the music. Enya makes me proud of my irish heritage(whelan family county clare ireland)

  • Impending battle.

  • i can sing this song by heart. love this song.

  • scary:o

  • thumb up for Hans zimmer.. clint mansell and Enyaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... Awesome ♥

  • can I use this theme song for my birth? I was born God Jehovah Allah like all men.

    - Holy King Ken Monarch Pochinko Friedrich of Prussia 'Frederick of Heaven and earth" drunk on turpintine with the rest of the prussian royal family.

  • i like it.:)

  • This song loses it's intensity once it's translated ):

  • tempus vernum simply means 'springtime'

  • This song is epic...i like how it switches major minor major minor...

  • How funny, the song lyrics arent even scary xD

  • Strange, I listen to this youtube a day before Japan was hit by tsunami. When I heard about the lyrics "Ergo, oceanus, maritimus..." I can't help thinking about big waves.

  • @melchizedic76 That's very scary... o.o

  • i'm a fan of 'quiet' but there is nothing like 'enya loud' there is so much more music in this song to hear. love this!!!

  • reminds me of music from soul calibur

  • I want this to play everytime I walk into wal-mart

  • @Bellhorn25 OMG lol that would be.. so awesome

  • @Bellhorn25 and now I will think about this song every time i go to wal-mart hah

  • @Bellhorn25 I actually heard this song in a super center Wal-Mart

  • This actually makes me think of spider man... only the first little bit though. xD

  • One of her finest! It's been a favorite of mine for years. A tremendous talent...certainly higher and more evolved than those who now ply the airwaves. Enya, when can we expect your next album?

  • @wadesterz48 ooooh news just came in that they are working on a new album! :D

  • we used this song in our theatre production. :)

  • Irish power

  • It's Lord Voldemort's theme!

  • @Sheepinatorx I actually laughed when I read it. HP rocks!

  • My 5th grade teacher (I'm 19 now) used to play this album during reading time in the morning. I remember telling my mom I liked the music my teacher was playing during read time and eventually my mom asked my teacher what the music was, and it was Enya, A Day Without Rain.

  • @jhonen32629 omg how weird me too!! I'm 19 && my 5th grade teacher played this for us a few times when we were doing work or whatever

  • reminds me of spring thunderstorms. we have a LOT of those where I live, and they're wonderful. :)

  • @ninjaspypenguin Tempus Vernum means Spring Time

  • sounds like some video game dungeon music, but still its crisp and beautiful.

  • lol all you people are saying things about how it reminds you of battle or something--the song is about springtime. Fucking springtime xD

  • @NeoRazor It's true! There was a discussion of this on Unity (the official Enya forum)!

  • @NeoRazor Must you taint this page with that F-word? /: This is an Enya song, for goodness' sake. It's kinda like taking a leak in a church [or whatever sacred/special place].

  • @NeoRazor its when nature ressuscitates itself from each winter....

  • Haunting. Gorgeous. Theme for my main character: an elven war queen...

  • It makes me think of men and women getting into armor and marching across a field to a battle that will end all battles

  • wow reminds me of my brother; he rly liked this song when i had the cd. haha hes humming XD wow, nostalgia.

  • sign the modern warfare is coming...:P

  • beautiful 10/10

  • This would make awesome trailer music.

"In world of chaos .... In a time of darkness ... four heroes will rise ....."

You can fill in the rest.

  • "and then they will fall wherein they will declare....

Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!"

  • PWNAGE

  • @albee1000 sounds like its explaining final fantasy. lol

  • Yes DragonStarDancer they are. I find it funny when someone points that out and some Non-Neo Pagans want to hide that fact. I love Enya and most Pagans of today do as well as Loreena McKennitt. They are both beautiful women and artists... They both offer to a vast audience. I need to replace this CD as someone stole it from me a couple years ago. I consider myself Celtic Shaman Witch.... Those are the best fitting Titles. Blessed be,

    Aaron/Rain

  • The nouns that Enya uses are some of the most important for a Nature related religion. Being Wiccan, this song touches my heart deeply. Thank you Enya and Namaste!

  • DSD, is this a spell? It sounded like one with all the Latin words in succession.

  • Not really a spell. More like a Nature meditation. It helps to alter the consciousness to connect with Nature and to prepare for rituals. It is kind of like the Goddess Chant. Goddess Bless)O(

  • @lgphwatcher Yes. It is now. A wonderful spell. Nothing more beautiful than spring and hopes it brings, don't you agree? May Love help you RISE!

  • its mostly just listing nouns. therefor earth, star, winter and age therefor autum and time of spring therefor the only staff and shade fire water sky moon etc....
  • ergo *therefore terra, stella, *earth, star, hiems et aestas, *winter and summer, ergo *therefore autumnus et tempus vernum, *autumn and spring time ergo *therefore radius solis et umbra, *ray of the sun and shade, ignis, aqua, *fire, water, caelum, luna, *sky, moon, terra, stella *earth, star, hierns et aestas, * winter and summer autumnus et tempus vernum *autumn and spring time... tempus vernum... *spring time...
  • @amasters85 wtf?

  • @amasters85 what a strange latin is that? It's like my english

  • Comment removed

  • This song also inspired a chapter or two in my book.

    Thank-you

  • This song IS intense in terms of overall presentation... and I love it! :D

  • with some virus?...

  • Ergo Oceanus, maritimus, Ergo Opacare, matutinus, Ergo Septentrio, meridies, Ergo Occidens et orientis, Ergo Oceanus, maritimus, Opacare, matutinus, Septentrio, meridies, Occidens et orientis,
  • Ergo Terra, stella, Hiems et aestas, Ergo Autumnus et tempus vernum, Ergo Radius solis Et umbra, Ignis, aqua Caelum, luna, Terra, stella, Hierns et aestas, Autumnus et tempus vernum... Tempus vernum...
  • If you really know the translation, pronunciation, and words, please post.

  • some of the words are latin, so here we go... Ergo Oceanus, maritimus, Ergo Opacare, matutinus, Ergo Septentrio, meridies, Ergo Occidens et orientis, Ergo - therefore, Oceanus, maritimus, ocean, ... Opacare, matutinus, ......... Septentrio, meridies, ..., south Occidens et orientis, ... and east
  • very nice song, although I can't figure out why most english-speaking people don't think that latin pronunciation is very different by english one...

  • I love this song! It has inspired a chapter in a book that I am writing.

  • Yeah it is a really good song for writing =D

  • what's the book?

  • My book is called VENUS, I hope to have it finished by December of this year.
