It's a yukata. Much cheaper and lighter than a kimono, used for summer wear.

It's just fine, it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes ^^
The best way is to check the prize online. A yukata can be bought for as little as $40 but a genuine kimono *phew*...$800 perhaps?
i know! kimono is so freakin exspensive!!!!!!...but there worth it lol ^^
