are you guys serious? the sound is without a doubt a synthesizer played by johnny greenwood. Look at him in to the right, the camera zooms in on him in the beginning and near the end. tell me if you think this is right

It's definitely Colin on bass, it's just passed through some distortion buzz effect. On the album version, right at the end, you can hear the effect turned off and you can hear the normal bass sound.
