  • What hymnal was this one from? The Cokesbury Worship Hymnal?

  • Churchill Tabernacle Hymn Book from Buffalo, NY - It was a very popular Ministry in Buffalo, NY many years ago, my Grandmother attended and was one of the Organist.

  • Contemporary music can never be better than the old time gospel music.

  • This hymn was "playing" in my head all morning today...quite a treat to stumble upon it. Very well played, by the way. Thank you!

  • You're welcome, it's a catchy tune !

  • Many thanks I'll try that .

  • Enjoyed this - haven't heard it for many years . Is there a good hymn book with this in please ? I've looked but it seems to be unavailable in the UK,

Thanks for bringing back memories .

  • I have an old copy of the Tabernacle Hymn Book, you might want to do a search on eBay, they have many old hymnals very cheap. Thanks for visiting. Lance †

  • Very nice playing... I played it one time on pipe organ at small church, but it was in bad technical condition unfortunately. It's a first time I've heard it played on such a gloriously sounding organ.

  • This tune is also the national anthem of the Fiji Islands, "God Bless Fiji".

  • I was born & raised a Presbyterian. I only heard this played & sung when our family would travel back to he Ozark Mountains, where I first heard this hymn. Even then it was on piano only, and in a church with no instruments at all. This is the first I've heard it on an organ. It does indeed bring back a lot of old memories. Thanks.

  • There is an even older Beulah Land -

"Ive reached the land of corn and wine,

And all its riches freely mine;"

Would be nice to hear this on youtube.

  • Glory to God. We are alive and free.

  • Do you know the Call to Worship, called The Lord is in his Holy Temple, that's the Call to Worship we use at my church, and by the way, I'm Methodist.

  • Yes - I have played it many times in the Call To Worship †

  • I love this Hymn i remember this from my days in the Church of God . We had a Hammond baby grand and a bass going all at the same time wow was all could say . I have a Lucasfilm THX sound system so you sound great. The only bad thing is don't think we will be playing this at my Episcopal church makes me sad .Thank you for playing it

  • Your welcome, I am Episcopalian too and never got to play it in Church.. Enjoy !

  • I remember this one from my early Baptist days. Our organist would repeat the chorus twice at the end taking it up a semitone each time, talk about loud, we would lift the roof. It was wild but wonderfull. Big thanks.
