Firmware seems pretty customizable.

Once Flash is confirmed working I'll buy it in a second.

not any time soon. it's not that easy to create a flash plugin for almost every linux OS.

I heard it was in the making though, and aimed specifically at ARM CPU's, so it can't be too far off.

it's already made. the iphone/pod and archos have it already. but their OSs differ from ubuntu.

The iPhone aniPod actually don't. It only works with Youtube. Jobs is on record saying he doesn't want Flash on the ipods.

I have an Archos though and it works with Flash 9 (not 10). It's proprietary though.
