Oh well, the refs paid you guys back this past year when the Cards played you in Morgantown. Where to begin: Joe Mazzulla last touched the rock when it went out of bounds. That led to WVU scoring. Then as time was running down and Louisville had the ball, Reggie Delk got fouled on a three point attempt, no call. Then a WVU player clearly touched it last as it went out of bounds straight at a little bitch of a referee who flinched and botched the call. You got the payoff plus a bonus this year.
ukspeake12.. you sure know your uofl players don't you? obannon graduated like 2 years before this game, not even tryin to hate but if you don't know who they are then just shut up
Edgar has had his problems since choking against A&M(Yes he choked and i'm a diehard UL fan lol) but he is clutch. He wants that ball in his hands at the end of games and I admire that shit
Wow, 96? He must have been about 8 or 9 lol..but this is his year, he's the captain and I feel like he's gonna really come into his own for his seinor season. Can't wait.
yeah, edgar's been balling since then...he's always been arrogant when he's on the court...even at 8 or 9 - courtesy of his brother Erick who played for Monroe Mustangs CC...in the Bronx. he was nice too..but Edgar just went to the right HS..(Rice)...and did good in school. I'm actually surprised he allowed him self to lose that much stock since joining U of L. I had bets that he would leave after Jr. year to NBA. But he doesn't play defense and needs to be a student of the game...he's not
Exactly, after a promising freshman year, he kind of went down hill. But late last year he started pulling it back together and he started playing defense, if that can carry over to his seinor year and he actually sustains it all, he might just be ok for the NBA. We'll see.
yeah I would like to see him in the NBA...there under the right team he can really do some damage. he has the heart. The problem with us NYC players is we're not students of the game, we think we know it all..when in reality we don't...I just started learning the game like 5 years ago... is actually easier than people think..of course...you need the talent..and skill but once u have that..the game just becomes easy...a good example of that is Kobe..he came in raw as hell..look now...lol
I know what you mean, but I don't think it's just NYC players, it's this generation of players in general. lol. We all think we know it all and have nothing we need to learn or work on but in reality, we all have to learn. Hell, even LeBron James still has to learn the game. He's missing a few key points. But with the right kind of work and people on your side, it'll work out, so I think Sosa will be fine. Pitino knows what he's doing. Sosa to me, can be what Johnny Flynn was last year.
wow that's a big statement...Johnny Flynn has been pretty consistent through out his last year in Syracuse...Sosa is not even consistent...that's one thing that messed up a really good friend of mine who I played AAU with (Sammy Mejia). He killed at Depaul, but lacked consistency...he'll give you 30, 4 and 4 tonight and 4 ,0, 0, next game. Scouts look at that. They also compare you at your position against players at your position and he just didn't evolve as a player...Sosa either.
I know, that is a pretty big statement, but I feel like his game can be what Flynn's is if he is consistent, i'm hoping since it's his team this year he can evolve into that type of player. I remember Sammy Mejia too, I liked him, people use to compare him to Francisco Garcia but my boy Garcia was better. He too was inconsistent though, I think if he would have put forth the efffort night in and night out he'd be in the league right now. But hopefully Sosa can come into his own his last year.
Yeah but Sammy had a better college 4 years than Sosa...way more significant. Sosa has not impacted or raise any eye brows...The only people that know Edgar are east coast, college basketball followers...no one really knows him as a significant player. Yeah he plays under rick pitino...but what is he known for? nothing. Sammy was known for scoring...he can give u 30 -35 any given night...NBA mock draft he was compared to Eddie Jones. 6'6'' and lanky with a scoring ability. Sosa has nothing.
Sosa has been on a team where he's not needed to score an abundant amount of points. But he is a little known. Not as an all-american or anything but people have witnessed some of his actions on the court. Mostly he's known for being selfish, haha, but they know he can score. He almost made himself a star in the ncaa tourney when he was a freshman. Unfortunately he had a bad few years after that but he has the potential to be a scoring PG. This year is the deciding factor, its his chance.
my take honestly, he'll be lucky to play overseas...to be honest...unless he has like a break out year, where he avgs 15ppg, 5-6-ast, 2stls per game... on 46-48fg%....
that's the only way..lol..and I love this kid...like his my lil bro..but just being realistic....I seen them all before...my boy omar cook is playing in greece...he was the best point guard coming out in 2001...and look..hehe.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. Most likely that's the scenario, overseas. But what i'm sayin is I wouldn't just count him out yet when he has a whole season set to play. I'm hoping for the best for him though, I need to see more Lou players in the NBA. lol
yea but Obannon should have been called for a charge on the previous trip down the floor instead of a blocking foul on Hayes. If you dont blow a 16 point lead with 11 min to play then the no-call on sparks doesnt even happen and UL wins.
Oh yeah, I guess the guys on ESPN can't count either. They showed it in slow motion and counted the steps and said it was an obvious blown call. Yeah, idiot. You must have staples for brains.
Yeah. But he definitely walked. See the comment below. How did you only see 2? He took 2 steps through the double team and 2 more in the lane BEFORE the shot. Like I said, even ESPN showed it.
yeah, well espn isn't the ncaa, nor were they the officials at that game...no use in complaining about it now, like i said above. if you want to persecute someone, persecute the incompetent officials whoe didn't make the call...not edgar sosa...he was just trying to keep his team alive in the big east tournament and it was a hell of a play.
I definitely don't blame Sosa. Hell. The officials missed it. Know watch it in slow motion people or pause it and count. He picks up the ball as he takes a step at the foul line (1) takes another short step past the defender on the left (2) one step past the defender (3) another step as he takes the layup (4)
geez. I'm beginning to think the ones that only see two are actually the referees from the game posting here. Ha. Oh, yeah, you guys did kick our butts in football. No doubt.
the ball was not poked away. come on, crap. Jesus. If he was fumbling it while running with it that is STILL A DAMN WALK. Christ, doesn't anyone know the rules of basketball here?
I'm sorry, I'm talking about this video here. The one on this page. Which one are you watching exactly? Let's be honest here everybody. Definitely a travel. By the way. I am calm. I just can't believe people can look at that and say the things they do. I'm just going to laugh about it. I'm through. Obviously no one who is commenting is watching the same video.
wasnt a walk at all body contact forced a extra step..so go cry somewhere else because UK is watching Louisville in the sweet 16 vs Tennesse. lets go cards
Still gotta hit your free throws. Your 15 feet away...noones guarding you...should be automatic. And I never said he sucked hes obviously a good ball player if hes playing for a top ranked D-1 program. I still think he walked though.
thats the best defense ive ever seen
