It's been nearly 30 years since you took your final bow, Denny. And it still brings tears to my eyes that so much of our lives has been denied the benefit of having you and your spirit here where we could hug you, laugh with you, scold you and, above all. love you.
I think there is a real truth in Barbara's parting comment about dear Dennis .. that he was dead inside (or at the very least "Crippled Inside", as the great John Lennon put it in one of his best-ever songs) long before his body died physically. And who'd be better qualified to comment in this vein than his sweet ex-sife Barbara ... DW Lest We Forget.
My heart aches. Bob Dylan called the Wilson family "California's Kennedy's". So sad that the only inner peace Dennis could find was on the Pacific Ocean floor, not riding it's waves on top. His music will live forever.
