I LOVE THIS Man, I wish this would be released on a compilation, These guys really were so special to me in school. Punky is one of the two players that made me pick up a Strat.. and work on a hand vibrato till I ripped my fingertips ;-)

How did I miss Jones' death? Very sorry to hear this. Angel was MY band in high school. I always loved Punky's lead. It was simple but tasteful, and what a vibrato! I remember learning all his leads :) I worked harder than anything at replicating that vibrato ! What a sweet tone! It is NO easy task to get THAT kind of sustain out of a Strat! Learning how to do that was so good for my own playing. Any new players would do well to learn from the man,

Fuckin'Punkys lead! Punky and Ace Frehley,their guitar work give me chills.They are not shredders and they don't have to be, the feeling is amazing.Punky on the strat and ace on the les paul.i wish punky was still out there like ace,never got a chance to see the man play.those of you who did are so lucky. it must blow his mind to know he still has a lot of fans.Heres to ya Punky!

Damn,Punky makes that guitar sing.He could also make it cry.Such an underrated player.Never had a chance to see him live.And that sucks big time.

I saw Angel warm up for Judas Prieat in the mid 70's. The opening was like a magic act. They assembled boxes on the stage then the logo introduced them and they came out of the boxes one by one.

When I saw them in 76 it was pretty much the same entrance but no boxes. It seems as though they just appeared on stage from nowhere and started playing. Cool band. Has anyone got a time machine that all of us ANGEL fans can go back in time with. lol

DUDE! I remembered them with Priest in 1978 when they had a fight with them over time limit. Angel OWNED the following night because Rob had a sore throat and did a short show instead!!

Judas warmed up for them on that tour I saw it in Allentown PA it was  Priests Hell Bent tour think it was Angels White Hot.RIP Mickie.
