Damn, this turntable sounds fantastic. I have the same cartridge by Supex. Oh no wonder it sounds like the band is there in the room. Wow what an amazing system you have!

Back in the 80s I bought a Thorens 124 with original SME arm for 25 bucks. It needed repair (probably a new idler wheel and belt), otherwise it was immaculate. Instead of getting it fixed I tore it apart for the parts thinking I could build a custom TT with the platter and bearing. I now see the 124 as one of the best vintage tables ever built.
