  • the media can't control how we think, they can control what we think about.

enough of that and they've achieved control of how we think

  • People who say this vid did not correctly portray the post modern idea of media affecting society greatly are either in denial or just missed the point. good experiment. would have been cooler if you had more people interviewed and a wider variety of people. or not even people, but logos for companies, historical landmarks, and other things as well. good work.

  • why dont we? because westerners are alienated ... yes both in culture and in time/space.

Not sure you approached those experiments in the right way however.... and I agree with PrometheusWithLight...

  • Yeah, that's not what postmodernism is.

I also wonder if this video is itself the experiment. Because the interviews have been chopped apart, we have no way of knowing exactly how many people you asked, it could well be that many people gave "favorable" results, and ended up on the cutting room floor.

Who are you to say what celebrities are OK to watch, anyway? You think it's any better to know the world's richest man than paris hilton?

  • i agre u use the term postmodernism incorectly as far as i know, but you showed some scary and eye opening truth.

  • So, what you're really saying is that the more popular someone is, more people recognize him/her?

That is quite obvious. And I don't think it has anything to do with postmodernity at all. It's something universally true.

  • Very true. very true
