Twin Turbo G35 Coupe ~60-120+mph run

no way this car is 500+ hp sorry for bringing up an old thread i have a mazdaspeed6 that can do a 60-120 run only 1 sec slower than this and i MIGHT be putting down 350... I have not dynoed it yet though and my car runs a 12.3@111 i have a video of my 60-120 as well..

Now i will admit that my next car will be a VQ of some sort namely a G35 as i love your exhaust sound.. Last I checked a rebuilt VQ didn't count as a VQ due to its new internals and heads...

so really the VQ has nothign to do with this, and still sucks because it blows up at low power and makes no torque with a shitty sound.

If you want me to go back in time and fix that comment, I would probably spent a little more time typing to ask if the engine was stock internals. I would have then gone on to say that I haven't heard of too many G35's with stock internals handling much more than 430HP. Are you happy now? No need to be such an asshole.

And to answer your question more appropriately, this engine is not likely a 3.5 liter anymore. To being going as fast as he is, he likely has the engine built to displace a higher volume. And yes I was referring to horsepower when I said 450. I haven't heard of too many stock internal G35 motors running much higher than that. And really, I generalized that from 430HP. I think if you really knew what I was talking about, you wouldn't be saying shit.

I have a question to ask to the pros that own a g35. I am now beginning to fix up my 05 G35 coupe. I want to spend about $1000 on little things to have more performance. I am starting with Air intake. What brand do you recommend for max performance? Then what next?

air intake does very little. I threw a k&n drop in panel filter and put a motordyne 5/16" spacer and MREV in mine, hell of a difference. that will run you about $600. next put a set of headers, high flow cats, and a good lightweight exhaust on.
