  • Radiologist Technicians make only $42,000 annually. Low Income but a good start on becoming a R.A.

  • The admissions director at Remington College in Fort Worth Tx told me I could become an assistant in radiation therapy in 12 months going to school 4 days a week 5 hours a day.. How true that is I don't know. I told her I was interested in becoming an X ray tech.

  • @gnossticc yes, you do. Being a radiologist requires 4 years of an accredited university, then at least 3 additional years of med school & residency. However, he's speaking of being a radiologic tech and you can get an associates for that in 2 years after earning your pre-req's

  • i wanna be this so bad!!!!!! (:

  • Ah man , i can't wait to be a radiologist ! My life long dream ever since i was little N shiiiiit haah

  • @mmkay180 go for it!

  • @mmkay180 Do you need to be a physician in order to be a radiologist?

  • GO TO CREATEIDEASHERE(DOT)BLOGSPOT(DOT)COM FOR INFO ON HOW TO READ XRAYS, HOW TO INTERPRET THEM ETC.

  • Do you have to have an associates degree to become a radiologist tech??

  • you answer me!

    i demand it!

  • What is the difference between a xray tech (limited) and a radiologist tech. schooling & pay wise?

  • In India it is total 4 yrs of medical school directly after high school graduation.

  • TECHNOLOGIST! DR., GET IT RIGHT!

  • TECHNOLOGIST!

  • Question: Can a radiology tech read ultrasounds and sign them.... or a MD has to sign them anyway????

  • Can a radiology technician be a radiologist?

  • @DaMusicLover5 No.

    A tech can't be a Radiologist.

Radiologists have to undergo a long process which is,

4 years of Bachelor>4 years of medical school>5 to 6 years of residency>1-3 years of fellowship>2 years of masters(not required but most do it.) to be legally authorized to perform radiology.

Technicians have a lot less school time and are not Medical Doctors.

  • I think you mean technologist, a technician changes your oil.

  • @IndieFrogStudios

i thought technologist was the actual radiology doctor. and technician was kind of the assistant and the one who fixed equipment, looked at film roles and position patients, etc.

  • @DaBlackOrihime

Radiologist = MD with 14 years of post secondary school education, reads and interprets x-rays, does procedures like biopsies and line placements

Radiology technologist/technician = guy that actually takes the x-rays and gives them to the radiologist to interpret

  • Some of your statements are not correct. JRCERT is the accrediting agency for programs. Curriculum is by the ASRT and registry is by the ARRT.

  • sssssssssssssssss

  • please how long it will take to get accepted for this program , we have here in MI 4 years waitin list

  • Not all programs in Michigan have waiting lists. LCC does not use waiting lists.
