Look how Lin Dan was playing, so relax and in control of the game.He would have won so easily if he wanted to, but he only played with Chen Jin making him run for the shuttle, and he even decides how the game is going to be : match point, deuces...

haha obviously we all knew who the winner was. If you watch carefully you can always see that LD was not only lifting and giving away the shuttle but he was also anticipating the shuttle as well. Usually these plays should know very well that you should not anticipate before the shuttle has been hit.

I dont like chen jin's style. It bases only on smashing almost everything he can, even the position is very hard. also his footwork is very chaotic and it seems to be weak comparatively to footwork of other top players

It's obvious it's fake. Lin Dan was just fooling around to help Chen Jin get enough ranking points. China is freaking cheap to employ such tactics to strong-arm their way into the olympics. Hopefully Lee Chong Wei, Taufik and Gade will do well and put an end to China's 'domination'

i was at the match myself and before th match he put some cream and sutff on his knee so i think it was his knee. That is true he isn't smashing maybe he cudn't be bothered as he's already won it 3 times in a row.

Lin Dan did throw the match, he was faking the knee injury. He was jumping around like a spring lamb at the swiss 2 days later and he won that without dropping a set. I'm pretty sure Li Yon Bo made him do it so that Chen Jin could get some ranking points towards the olympics. Gotta feel sorry for lin dan. Check out the article about the 2004 olympics match fixing by the chinese coach. Why wouldn't he do it again?

I watched only this vid of the match and wondered why Lin Dan wasn't jump smashing or attacking the bird like he usually does. It realy did seem to me like he was throwing the match. From reading everyone elses posts, it seems he was injured. I guess it all makes sense now.

I think Lin Dan was genually injured, cos he looked in pain whenever he was moving around, and if he was faking it, it would be really hard to keep the charade up. Either way, it was a really good tourny, and all the players should be congratulated, and not put down like some people are doing.

Also, I truly think Taufik is the most talented player out there, and plays the game with ease and skill. So what if he doesnt win everything, he's married with a kid. Guy's got other committments tbh!

That doesn't really matter...the point of the game is to win and lin dan has a winning record against taufik and everyone else. Taufik is probably the most overrated player in the history of the game. People think because he's won two big titles he's not trying the rest of the time. In truth he just isn't able to win consistantly, like everyone except lin dan. If lin dan wins the olympics, ten years from now lin dan will be thought of as the greatest player of all time.
