@xXPikachiuXx We have it made and we are working on development of the drill packages so you can use these on your IPhone. Hope to have it ready for a Beta Study very soon!
@RFW26 Well there are many variables to the answer you are seeking. How well do you execute the move, how quick are you, did you give the move away before or during execution. There is no possible way to give a percentage on this or any other move.
after this video ive been crossing way more people in my school my coach says im the best in the school at crossovers and i learned it from here thanks alot shot science
Hey guys, is it okay to shoot with my elbow out? I feel more comfortable with my elbow out and I shoot more accurate. Is this okay or should I practice with my elbow in?
@JustPrankingAround well, the real problem with the elbow out is that always creates a "flat Shot" which is less likely to go in the basket. Check out our shooting videos to unders tand why. The video on getting the proper arc on your shot will explain the reasons for elbow in.
@JustPrankingAround it's not good to shoot with your elbow out. It creates a flat shot and your follow through will tend to go to the outside depending on which hand you are shooting with. You do not want your elbow to be too extreme when keeping it in the middle. That will make you have a stiff shot and tend to have a slower release, but you don't want to chicken wing it with your elbow out. When I shoot I don't want to have my elbow outside of my rib cage.
hey shot science, so now that we have the crossover and we can get past our man, how do we score in traffic? once i get by my guy someone else always sticks a hand out and tips the ball away. can you make a vid or just give me some advice? thanks a lot
@xbringyourboardx Well, what you need to do is to learn to see where the other defenders are and not drive into a crowd. It is also important to learn how to manage the dribble when you get caught in this traffic. This comes from a lot of practice and play to develop your game APTITUDE.! We develop this aptitude as we develop experience.
@skaterdude5842 Go back to the video and review all of the things that you need to be. We suspect that you are looping around the defender instead of cutting him off. This is the North-South attack. Also expect contact and play through it. It's really about correct execution and PRACTICE A TON!
well one of your main aspects as a channel, i think, is the coach. Maybe use that as an advantage and get him known. MERCHANDISE haha. Well this is a basketball channel, so i would love to see other known youtubers play one on one. Well that would take a lot of contacting but im sure its possible and it would get a lot of hits. Even if you dont agree with my ideas, think of it as a chance to think outside of the box haha. Be creative. Anyways great channel. I'm a subscriber and good Luck!
@BulletKong thanks ;-) We've thought of and explored a lot of those things and are working on making many different things happen right now behind the scenes. Keep and eye out for lots of new things and help us out by spreading the word!
@ShotScience For the Give aways (suggested by BulletKong) Basketballs? NBA wear? But i believe the best idea is to give away Shirts with your own labelling, a little self advertising? also basketball singlets the same? If i was to recieve one i would wear it whenever i could...
Great ...evrey video is better and better, love to see that you guys doing this becuase you guys love Basketball like a Millons people, the only different is that you guys doing for free...THanks!!!
@kobe1357986 this all comes down to the foods that you eat. Are you eating lots of processed foods full of sugar and salt? Do you consume sodas? The best way to get to a conditioned weight is to eat frequently throughout the day. Eat good, clean foods and a sensible amount. Stick to water and sugarless drinks. And continue to participate in metabolically intense exercise.
Simple is the best. But you really should but there some other crossovers too. For me example one hand crossover has worked very well. Also very wide crossover have worked, because defender steps back a lot when he try to get there where he think I'm going drive.
can you do one with different dribbling moves? ie. through the legs, behind the back? Another question I have is: How can I get around my small hands and still handle well?
@Raptorsified Check out our Attack videos for the answer to your question. Small hands only a minor problem if you allow it to be. Practice is the solution for better handles.
@ChillyCloth we seriously recommend our Vertical Jump Program for your vertical and for your explosiveness. It is all about developing power in the legs. See our Vertical Jump Handbook on our Channel page. It's a really good deal.
@kobe1357986 The most common problem when dribbling is that the player DOES NOT pound the ball. This doesn't mean faster, but harder. Players want the ball to come back to their hand quicker and be more responsive and you achieve this by "POUNDING THE BALL!"
@ShotScience Hahaha, just helping out by commenting on the video? But seriously i love your guys stuff, Active with the community and great advice... Im now sinking jump shots and my dribbling skill has inccreased. I've got the height (14 and 6ft 4) and now you guys are helping with the skill :D
Hey shot science, when I'm doing the move in the video I get to the other side but my defender gets there when I crossover. Then I'm stuck and have nowhere to go. What should I do to prevent that?
@jwshyy Well, first of all make sure that you go at them hard. If they are getting there before you, you must be tipping off the move before hand. The harder they have to defend the easier it is to get by them. Also make sure that you are attacking to the basket. If you are doing all this you should be able to beat them. Go back over this video and review several times how you need to execute the move.
hey i really need some help. oh i like the videos btw:) but i have a biggg dilema. i find that whenever im playing a team game, i get nervous and i seem to panic on my moves and just try to dish out the ball. but when im playing one on one or american for example, I DOMMMMINATE. i dont know why i cant transition that into a game. may you please help me sir? thank you:)
@23KtRiX23 We can only guess as to why you panic. It is our guess that your panic comes from fear that you may fail and the other guys will give you some grief or think less of you. Get by that and do not worry about mistakes because everybody makes them, but most players just continue on.
@NeilCrocker15 Our guess is that you have not forced the defender "to defend." You have to attack them hard. If you are soft and not aggressive they will be able to knock the ball away. Attack them hard before you break their ankles.
how far away should you be do the cross over from your defender? Sometime, i find myself to close which result in bouncing on their shoes. Also, should the crossover be parallel to the the basket?
@MsHiddenSecret Probably the best distance is about arms length and this can be adjusted if to feel too close. The dribble on the cross needs to be in the direction of the basket to beat the defender. Take it across at an angle. If the ball goes toward the opposite sideline, you will not be able to get by them.
@ShotScience alright thanks! but I have another quesiton. When I am about to cross, I usally take a step to my right at 45 degree angle and then cross it to my left. WHen I cross, when should I bring my other leg to the basket?
