  • Egil ist der Jäger aus der Edda

  • Faun rocks...

  • q cancionsota

  • Dude... I'm in love!!!! I love faun!!!

  • Greeting from GrEeCe with love !!!!!

  • Greetings from Bulgaria! Great music <3

  • that's so beautiful! i love it!

  • Awesome song, but......could someone explain me the video's plot???:/

  • @schnick7654:

to listen to this song 100.00 times you'd need 355 days 7 hours. just saying.

  • Questa canzone è stupenda..mi piacerebbe sapere cosa significa!

  • voll endgeilwelsche sprache ist das

  • @VolkerLove

Altisländisch. Ist ein Teil aus der Edda

  • @Daggy5 Right you are :) All the best from Iceland

  • @Krringur

Thank you. But without a tip I'd never knew that :-)

Icelandic is a beautiful language but I think hard to learn. I try my best with swedish, netherlands and spanish. but I hope I could learn more languages in future

  • @Daggy5 Old Norse/norrønt/Altnordisch.

  • There is no connection, just wanted to bring her name up,

I brought it up because she Sucked, and Faun is actually good,

ok get it now or do I have to speak to you in Alien ?

  • Ruins. a handy tool.

  • I uploaded a 480p version of this music video on my channel.

Please check it out. It sounds a lot crisper.

  • I love the lyrics ( even tho I can't understand them)

  • I've just fallen in love ..

  • Anyway I never said anything bad about Faun so be glad I like the music,

and if you don't like me bashing someone who sucks then go home and cry to your mommy.

  • @LORDGOAT1976 Winehouse was real vocals as well.... I'm trying to find the connect between Faun and Winehouse? please stick within the same genre...your comparison makes no sense

  • @LORDGOAT1976 You sound like you still suck on your mom's tit.

  • Are they singing about Egil Skallagrímsson?

  • In what language do they sing ?

  • @simonshk Icelandic.

  • Beautiful.

  • Real Female vocals alright Fuck Amy Gayhouse

  • @LORDGOAT1976 Way to disrespect the dead. Nonetheless, Amy Winehouse was a creative, talented musician. Albeit of a different genre, but there's no reason to bash her here of all places. O.O

  • Die singt Alemannisch, hört man gleich

  • Great video and music :-) (slipt on the button)

  • Jag måste säga att: Det här berör mig ända in i själen! Many thanks for a

  • I LOVE IT! :)

  • @FehnChriss

Your comment made me rage so hard. It's Old Norse, an old Germanic language. The lyrics are adapted from Egil's Saga, which is about Egil, son of Skallagrim, perhaps the most famous heathen warrior-poet of all time. 10/10 troll.

    @TheIndigoAurora

  • it doesnt matter it you can understand what they are saying or not. music is not about lyrics, its about how it makes you feel

  • Wonderfull

  • At the beginning it gives me the chills . :D

  • einfach wunderschön <3

  • is it wrong i dont kno wuht there sayin?" i love this style of goth musick

  • if there is one thing i miss from germany it is the manifestation of autumn in oak-maple-birch forests. around these parts we only got fur trees.

  • My favorite from Faun...ausgezeichnet!

  • bello video

  • when they found egil skallagrimsson's bones they were twice the size of an average man he was a beast!! not only that but how badass do you have to be to pluck someones eyeball out and puke in their face just for insulting you?

  • @genestarwind7 I think they didn't found his bones and yes he seems to have been a beast since he probably suffered from paget disease ...

and it's no badass it's viking fun ^_^ (just joking ;))

  • Faun Forever!!!! :D

  • Does anyone know what type of 'hats' they are wearing is? And who might sell them? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. They are beret like but they have an open back so that's why I have no clue.

  • Funny, the video seems like it's giving off a celtic vibe, but they're singing in old norse... I find that to be slightly amusing.

  • @SettingMoonWitch Na, I am German and I can't understand a single word :)

  • @TheIndigoAurora

They are singing in Icelandic I guess.

  • @BlueBellKlaudia It´s old islandic, I think

  • Amazing

  • Great song !

    ;-*

  • Best Wishes from Turkey, Keep do what you are doing right now^^

  • Can anyone translate this song into English?

  • @OldSchoolPunk138 Read Egil's saga mate, (if you haven't already done so) it'll give you an idea of the great man and what he did in his incredible life!

  • @OldSchoolPunk138 if this song was translated into english it would not have the same impact

  • I like it, but at the same time it's so strange....

    nema raða vel kunni,

    þat verðr margum manni,

    es of myrkvan staaf villisk;

    sák á telgðu talkni

    tíu launstafi ristna,

    pat hefr lauka lindi

    langs ofrtrega fengit

Egill reist rúnar ok lagði undir hoegendit Í hvíluna, þar er hon hvildi; henni þotti sem hon vaknaði or svefni ok sagði at hon var þá heil
  • I love that feeling. It's a feeling that no everybody is able to feel. Just a few have the capacity to feel it in their soul.

    Lg diamondend

  • I love it :D

    I looks like fantasy ;P

  • Didn't understand a word, but I love every part of the song.

  • @glupsamja SAME HERE

  • I love this song... ^^

  • 2:08 one of the hottest Faun scenes ever...

  • i knew i had listened it!!

  • One of my most beloved songs. Something about the music, the lyrics (though I don't speak Icelandic!) and the beat speaks to my soul. ;) It also brings back lots of memories of the time I first heard it (in 2007). This band is a true treasure!

  • This group is such a blessing. Such beauty is rare nowadays.

  • beautiful. <3

  • I consider to this music as a marvelous treasure because I realize of an important point here and is the ancient music.

I do not know, but there is something deep in the voices, specially in the dark hair singer...

if someone can go deeper and deeper into the music, I am truly sure that one could find honest music with sentiment...

    Thanks for the video.

  • Skalat maðr rúnar rísta, nema ráða vel kunni, þat verðr mörgum manni, es of myrkvan staf villisk; sák á telgðu talkni tíu launstafi ristna, þat hefr lauka lindi langs ofrtrega fengit.

  • Habe Faun schon mehrmals live gesehen.

  • compare life with back in the day, when this music was THE music back then. I hope our society creeps into some kind of stage where we go back to that old lifestyle, they loved life back and everybody hates life now

  • @skateNappreciate music "back then" was very different all over the world and certainly didn't have synthisized drums. Also virtually nobody hates life now (unless you count meat eaters)

  • @TheLoconate What is wrong about eating meat? It's just natural. Do you know things better than the nature? If you're spiritual, then I could admit that the unhappieness of the animals transfers to humans when eating them... We should be allowed to eat everything we can!

And before you come around with "Why don't you eat people as they are of flesh" : Cannibalism is NOT our nature, and It's also quite ineffective to eat ones own species, isn't it?

  • @Szerith when did i say it was wrong? I don't think that meat eaters hate life whatsoever and I agree that it's completely natural to eat meat (even though I'm a vegetarian). If you'll notice I was replying to someone who said that people hate life now (which is bull), and I said that the only way you could possibly contrive that to be true is if you said meat eaters hate life

  • @TheLoconate Why should you hate life just because you eat meat? And why do you even seperate in Meateaters and non-meateaters? We are all just humans, aren't we?

Sorry for my rude response... I'm just fed up with Vegans and Vegetarians feeling as something better and trying to convince (or should I say "crusade"?) me of their lifestyle...

  • @Szerith wait what? are you retarded? I said that I don't think that meateaters hate life but that the only way you could contrive skateNappreciates comment as true is by saying that meat eaters hate life which i don't agree with. I'm not having a crusade, I have no problem with meat-eaters, i'm just replying to a comment that I saw as ridiculous, maybe if you actually read the original comment i replyed to you would understand what I'm saying., and i'm distinguishing them not seperating them

  • @TheLoconate Okay, then everything is fine... Sorry, I didn't get it immediately, but I still have to look every third word up...

  • @skateNappreciate You just appreciate what you're losing... or what you've alredy lost. Unfortunatelly...

  • @skateNappreciate One week living in the conditions of the 16s would make you change your mind and love your twenty first century.

  • @MichalPtacnik where u from? one week in nature with nothing and you dont want to go back in civilisation ............. we all are different

  • @skateNappreciate Eventually our technology has to run out. Then we'll be back here. But I don't think we'll have that electronic bassey noise then :p

  • @skateNappreciate that might happen :) if a magnetic storm from the sun happens , that will destroy all technology of humanity. It is quiet likely to happen in the next 10 years -as scientists say- has happened before , when electricity didn't exist (well in technology, not in nature) thus humanity will have to adjust to the new rythm of life which means living in the countryside , near water bodies. The ones that wont be able to adjust will not survive . quiet simple isn't it?

  • Excellent song, not Faun's best but still a beautiful one.

The video is crap, but so much the better as it doesn't keep you off the music.

  • I listening this all the time.

  • AWESOME

  • lindura

  • I love this banda, one of my favorites!!! her music it's so beautiful!

  • This is so beautiful and I can't stop listening!! God, I never saw a white chick look so hot in dreds!!

  • @Winterx69 Yeah I hear the patterns of human entrails (during divination) could be particularly fascinating against the greenery or the snow. ~

  • Nice song with a mix of industrial beats and folk.. The video is needlessly gloomy and bleak, though. The ancient times were colourful!

  • so many people. like this. We are not crazy.

  • I have never heard this song before... and um this is Icelandic? Wow it sounds so beautiful o.O

  • This is folktronic.

  • Ich liebe liebe liebe es... für immer.

  • relaxing mood...:X:X

  • Don't Understand a word being from Canada Yet I LOVE IT!!!

  • @fausts12 yea, pretty good eh

  • @fausts12

Do you have bags of milk where you live? o.o

  • @LabYam I think that's only in Ontario, never seen a bag of milk myself. lol

  • @PaganBorn79 Oh, I see. It's such a fascinating invention for someone like me, who is used to the cartons. x') Thank you for answering and not ridiculing me for asking such a stupid question. ^^'

  • i dont usually listen to this kind of music, but i love it!

LG!

  • @FederBlaue

Hm... was steckt denn noch drin? Ich bin lernwillig :)

  • Awesome song and music :)

    Cheers from Sweden

  • @davelcarin

where can I find these lyrics?

Icelandic hasn't changed (that much) for hundreds of years so everybody in Iceland or who speaks Icelandic can read and understand the old Edda Saga books.

So even with my little Icelandic I can understand it... :))

Ok, but I also get some Norwegian because of learning more and more Icelandic.

  • @ishraun I found them here:

    h t t p : / / lyrics . wikia . com / Faun : Egil _ Saga

    put it togeher ;)

Icelandic may not have change much in these centuries, but orthographically there're more changes than phonetically...for example: in old icelandic "I" was "ek" , pronounced /ek/ and now is "ég", pronounced /ieg/

But yes, I suppose that who can understand icelandic, can understand mostly all old icelandic...but I'm only guessing, I'm spanish and know only a little of these things :p

  • @davealcarin hey thanks a lot for the lyrics... I've looked for them for years... I even learned (or thought to learn) the words just by listening, but I wasn't sure what the lyrics were... thanks again

  • @davealcarin yes your are right, we can understand old Icelandic, it has not change that much.

  • I have only the faintest idea of what's going on here but it's all very pretty.

  • oh Odin, warum habe ich vorher nochnie etwas von ihnen gehoehrt erst seit dem ich auch eben Omnia zum ersten Mal gehöhrt habe vermess ich zu sagen was mir bisher verwehrt blieb- Pagan-Music on it self -it´s soooo well

  • We need an HD version!

  • HOLA,ADORO A ESTE GRUPO,DE ECHO AY TENGO UN VIDEO DONDE VIENEN VARIOS GRUPOS,Y ELLOS SALEN EN UN VIDEO CLIPS,DE ECHO ESTA ROLA ES,,...

  • it is definitly Icelandic - not a very good pronounciation but it is

  • @ishraun I think that's because it's not Icelandic "per se", but Old West Norse...or like some others call it: Old Icelandic. I found several sites where the lyrics are written with old icelandic orthographic forms (and also slightly different pronounciation), like "maðr" and "ok" instead of "maður" and "og". But I'm really not an expert, it's what I think.
